We stopped here to get our RV tank refilled. It's close to La Hacienda RV resort, only about 8 minutes away 15100 Debba Dr. CHEAPER than the propane at the RV resort. The man that helped my husband was a really nice guy. Excellent customer service. The man didn't know anything about the part of their yelp profile that says mention you saw them on yelp to get $1.99 price. It was still a reasonable price though. They just need to redo the yelp profile or make sure everyone working there knows about the deal. Not that big a deal. The customer service overshadowed that minor thing.

Suburban Propane was our MVP of the 2021 winter blizzard!!!!!…read more We are on the autofill plan and our guy came a couple days before the big winter storm and topped us off. We didn't even need to call them. He really saved the day! Over a year ago, in late 2019, when we were looking around for a propane supplier, we saw other companies had higher ratings and they turned out to be disasters. They never came and were unfriendly. Suburban Propane came through for us then as well. We were beyond thrilled then - and now, we are ecstatic. Do not believe the low rating haters!!! We found Suburban Propane prices to be reasonable, although some advertise lower prices. My recommendation: Beware of someone else who might offer lower prices. Because super cheap propane is worthless if it isn't in your tank when you need it! My wife and I wish we could give Suburban Propane 10 starts! Really. Thank you for keeping us warm, safe, and secure during the worst winter weather in Texas history!

The woman helping me actually went above and beyond in terms of helping me get to my U Boxes after it appeared the national U-Haul number I called didn't sync with this store. I'm guessing it's U-Haul policy (or maybe just this location's) that when both parties make a…read moremistake, to take advantage of their customers as much as they can. U-Haul likely made a mistake on marking their fuel gauge and I, two hours behind schedule, signed off on it. Items were loaded on-site from a pod and driven ten miles, half-filling a 15' box truck. A singular tool chest was then driven six miles one way and six miles back to the depot. A total of 22 miles. I had estimated based on load and distance to refill around 2 gallons of fuel and returned it slightly past closing. Checked the receipt the next day and was billed an additional 5 gallons of fuel (~$25) claiming it didn't match what was signed off. That's ~7 gallons of fuel for 22 miles. It doesn't take much brain power to realize that a half-filled 15' box truck does not drive THREE MILES TO THE GALLON. The only figure I can think of that gets anywhere near this number is a Bugatti going at over 250 mi/hr. If whoever I spoke to the on the phone was willing to work with me and ended up billing me for an additional gallon or two, I would find that an acceptable resolution. The fact that a representative was unwilling to relent on the impossibility of a box truck getting 3 MPG speaks a lot about their customer service skills or lack thereof.

Ferrellgas - Sharp Propane

I've been dealing with Sharp a lot lately. I only have the kitchen oven on propane, and my old…read moreoven died. Of course, it seems no one sells a propane prepared stove. You have to get it converted. Easy enough, I set up a litany of service calls (added $200 to the cost of the stove) to get it connected because Sharp won't handle any connections inside the house (thanks Thunderbird Plumbing) and Sears was incapable of doing the connection when they brought it (that's a 1 star review waiting to happen). Ben came out, made the adjustments, checked the system pressure for leaks, and we were in business. Not so fast. The oven sounded like a mini explosion each start. It was a very concerning sound. Ben came back but was certain he had done everything necessary. I got a $100 service call bill from Sharp although the stove was still unsettling. I called back asking if anyone had an idea of what could be the issue. I would expect even if they couldn't fix it, someone around the office had to know something about propane and appliances. They never called me back. After being done wallowing in the sorrow of a month long transaction just to have a stove that sounded like it wanted to blow the house up, I finally called Sharp one more time last Friday. I spoke with someone at the office receiving another vague commit that someone would call. Cody called me about two hours later and happened to be in the area. He managed to find the one piece that wasn't totally adjusted right, and now everything is operable and sounds like it should. The fourth star on this review is for Cody. I inherited my relationship with Sharp from the person that previously owned my home and have dealt with them for the past 20 years. They're no better or worse than trash service - when they're doing good, you don't think about it. There's just not much to be super impressed with. I lease the tank, so I'm sure changing vendors wouldn't be the easiest or cheapest decision. I'm not on a gas refill service and when I've ordered gas, I've never had any problems (other than buying $200+ of propane when you refill, that's not a fun bill I get every two years or so) with the gas delivery. My faith in Sharp can get shaken when they won't call back, but it's good to know they will make an effort if you stick with it. Luckily I don't need them too often.

Not only they have failed to do it in at least 5 occasions, but I am out of gas since yesterday. The emergency dispatch couldn't come yesterday and they have said they were on their way the three times I have call today. Its 3:40 pm and still no gas while it's snowing in Austin. I have no heat, no water heater or gas to cook. Their 24 hour access guaranteed is a joke!

I really have to give a huge shout out to the guys at U-Haul Moving & Storage at Slaughter Lane in Austin!!! They installed a hitch on our Ford Explorer. The appointment was supposed to be a drop-off and pick up later, but they immediately started working on it so we would not have to Uber home and Uber back to pick it up! That was greatly appreciated! But WAIT! That's not all! More accolades are in order! We had a bit of a fiasco with the rental of a moving trailer. I had reserved a 5X8 enclosed trailer via the Internet after having first chatted with a gentleman on the U-Haul site who assured me that this size trailer would work for a one bedroom apartment. NOT SO!! A queen size mattress doesn't even fit unless it is tilted. After my daughter picked up the trailer and got it to the house, they were able to determine that this size trailer WAS NOT going to big enough. In the meantime, the U-Haul where the trailer had been picked up at was closed. We called customer service who transferred us to Victoria. She informed us that the trailer could be dropped off at another location (we chose the Slaughter Lane location because they had done the hitch install for us.) but that we would still be charged the total for the trailer rental from Austin to Colorado Springs because we did not drop it off at the original drop-off location per the contract. I was told that we would need to file a dispute with U-Haul in order for an investigation to be conducted to determine if a refund was warranted! She said she was unable to help us with exchanging the trailers. I ended up having to create an entirely new reservation and had to go to a different location because the Slaughter location did not have the the 6X12 which was the next size up. This size worked perfectly. On our way out of town with the trailer, we wanted to make sure we (2 ladies) had hooked everything up properly, so we pulled into U-Haul Moving & Storage at Slaughter to have them do a quick inspection. A real nice gentleman (whose name I failed to get!) came up to us immediately and checked everything out for us. While he did the inspection, I went inside because I had never received an email receipt supporting that we had returned the trailer that was too small. I explained our fiasco to Redarion Harris and David Harris. They jumped into action and had the whole issue resolved in less than 10 minutes!! They did exactly what should have been done in the first place! They were very understanding, helpful and true professionals! Thanks guys.....you helped make the beginning of our road trip start on a good note!
