For the second winter in a row, this company has failed to fill our propane tank in a timely manner. Last winter, there was at least SOME excuse -- snow, icy road conditions, etc, made it difficult for them to get their trucks out. However, this Sunday morning we woke up to ZERO gas pressure and ZERO heat in the house, despite having called a week earlier to let them know that we were down to 20%. So, lord knows how much higher our electrical bill is going to be, due to having to fall back on electric room heaters -- much less the extra pain in the a$$ it took to start a fire in our fireplace this morning. Once upon a time I was new to the having a propane tank world. So I'm learning. I originally had Direct Propane, and immediately had issues w/ about everything. I dumped them and got Sharp. I thought, at the time, that this was a good company, comparatively to Direct. I was told that they would come by and fill the tank and I would never have to worry about running out. Fine, cool, awesome. I let them attempt to service my home for a couple of years. I start to see that I still have issues keeping gas. Nobody's perfect. Then I compare prices to other companies in the area. I have been double to triple overpaying for services. Filling my tank twice during the summer time is stupid. Thanks for the top off. Next time do it during November, December and not January. I was "In their delivery route and they would be there in 3-5 days." Taking the Oregon Trail? Not much "in route" at that point. Sharp needs to get better at delivery schedule, I already had a routine established where they know my usage, they should have no excuse. My business is now elsewhere. As a plus, the staff was always nice and professional. I never had issues with deliveries and the drivers were nice and professional as well. read more

I am writing to let everyone know the wonderful service that I was promised and not receiving...CUSTOMER CARE...REALLY!!! They say they will monitor your tank and fill when needed. I have my property up for sale and now because I will not fill it 75% they cancelled my Customer Care (in the middle of winter) and now I am sitting in a house with no heat...oh, and they did not advise me that they cancelled my customer care. Wow, what a awesome company. And not only that but they will want to charge me $150 to have it delivered tomorrow plus another $350 to fill it with 150 gallons. Plus the manager in Bastrop calls me all the time to single me out and harrass me all the time to tell me that she haven't received my payment and I have to show proof from my bank that it was deducted from my account. Special attention...no it is pure harrassment. They don't care as long as they get there money. And, if my property sells and my tank is full...they will not refund me for what is in the tank....really I don't think I want to put out $500 plus to fill the tank and give it back to them for nothing...I do not have that kind of money laying around and cannot afford to pay out that kind of money and not get a refund..,. So I will sit in a cold house...no heat...no hot water...again....last time I ordered propane and then the young thing that I place my order with never processed it. What do I have to do to get propane? if you promise customer care...why am I sitting in a cold house with no hot water? I have been in my house over 20 years and sharp propane buys out the locals and give us the worst of the worst service...I have never ever had this problem until they took over....please leave the mom and pop shops alone...they actually know what they are doing. I was a customer for over two years. Their driver was always courteous, and with time, we even found ways to overcome the scheduling and delivery problems caused by their "efficient" computer scheduling software and our locked gate. We even went so far as to allow them to direct bill my credit card so that they could deliver when no one was home. However, that was apparently not enough to enhance their bottom line and they decided they would no longer deliver to me. I can think of no reason except that I am a "minimum" user and required no more than about 35 gals per month. Of course with current prices that still ran over $100 per delivery, but not enough nor convenient enough to meet their corporate profit goals. If I were you, I would definitely find someone to service you who really values your business, small or large. read more
