I've had a nothing-but-positive experience from Recon Waste Services over the six months I've been…read morewith them. I used to use Waste Connections but feel that their business practices are predatory, as they doubled bills frequently which I believe is an attempt to mess over elderly people or those with auto pay. When they've come, you even know because they neatly leave the can sideways consistently to denote that. I saved 60% by switching over, they're local, the lady on the phone was super nice, I just so happened to meet the owner this morning and he's a top notch guy. Really happy to be using Recon these days.

I would leave a zero if I could. I prefer not to leave negative reviews anymore because everyone…read moreseems to just be trying to make it. Unfortunately, my experience at this business was frustrating and unpleasant. The staff was consistently rude, interrupting and not allowing me to finish my sentences, especially when attempting to help them retrieve their property. The lack of basic courtesy made the entire process unnecessarily difficult. While I understand they may not be in the waste service business, at one point they had to be. Since buying our house, our trash can has said Recon with this phone number on it. We started getting skipped by our trash company in the recent because of it. Our company brought us a new bin and I was instructed to call the number on our old one. I'm doing so, my experience was awful. I hope they can improve their customer service in the future.

I know, a dump is a dump. But my reason for the 5-star review is the smell! While it may look &…read morefeel like a typical landfill, there's no smell! This is the only dump I've ever been to in my 37 years on planet Earth that didn't have me wanting to puke while being there. I don't know what their methods are but to me that's amazing! I've been a few times but I had to dispose my old bed recently which caused me to make an appearance there. The dump is actually in Creedmoor (It says Buda on Yelp) & FM 1327 is a quiet & pleasant little road to travel along. The nature preserve surrounding the landfill is also pleasant to look at & is kind of cool that the landfill is trying to make good use of the land surrounding it. The overall cost of disposing my old bed + large boxes left behind from the new bed ended up being around $67. That with the $45 U-Haul pickup rental + gas was still cheaper than paying the furniture store's $189 disposal fee. The employees I dealt with were friendly, had good attitudes, & from an outsider's perspective they seemed to be well taken care of by the company they work for.

Texas Disposal Systems has policies that place all responsibility on the customer, even when the…read moreissue is caused by their own operational choices. Their single‑operator trucks will not move a bin if a car is nearby, even on public streets where homeowners have no control. The only remedies offered are insufficient: a couple of extra bags next week or paying double for a return trip. This is not customer service -- it's a penalty for their own cost‑cutting. Speaking with a supervisor confirmed they have no flexibility or willingness to help. Very disappointing.

My husband was able to reach out by calling/texting and someone was quickly able to provide a quote of $450-500 for labor, haul off and disposal which was very fairly priced. The final price was $600 as we didn't drain the hot tub and that would be a bit extra which we were fine with them handling to deconstructing and hauling away all. They also were able to quickly get us on schedule and the day of, updated us on their ETA during the arrival window. The crew was very professional and friendly and we were thrilled with the work and treatment of our property and hauling away everything, like you'd never know something used to be there, aka a hot tub! The electrical portion was left and the guy stated we could have an electrician come to cap it but other than that, JunkGuys was so helpful and great at taking care of this so quickly for us :) We look forward to reaching out again and using them next time we have projects that require further clean out and removal of things!

Vince showed up with his uniformed crew and efficiently knocked it all out. He even took several additional items that weren't initially included in the quote and didn't charge me any extra.
