Along with many other homeowners, I've lived in the neighborhood since 2012 peacefully. All that changed in 2021 when Break It Down decided it would be a good idea to start composting on a large scale, right next to an existing community. Below is one of the pieces about this business and the impact they are having on the surrounding residents. This facility creates a terrible and foul stench that permeates through the neighborhoods nearby. It is also so strong that you can smell it through your car as you drive on FM 969 to get to MLK. Please fix this issue. read more

Excellent place to send your cardboard leftovers for recycling ! Simply back into their drive through , pull a cart and dispose of your cardboard. No one was around when I went the first time so I called to see if open. Sweet Tiffany answered yes and immediately came out to show me where to unload and helped ! read more

I have been using break it down's composting service for about 6 months now and absolutely love it. My partner and I are vegetarian so we have a ton of vegetable clippings and peels left over that used to make our trash smell awful and attract gnats, but now that we have started using the buckets that break it down provides our kitchen smells wonderful and there are no gnats or fruit flies to be found. We live in an apartment complex so we wouldn't be able to compost on our own. They come every Monday and switch out our full bucket with a clean empty bucket. They even send me a reminder email the night before so that I don't forget to put my bucket out. A couple months ago I moved and I was able to easily transfer my service to my new apartment without any hassle by simply emailing Tiffany. Tiffany is always very responsive and accommodating to whatever I need. It also feels great to know that we are reducing the amount of trash we send to the landfill and creating healthy compost to grow more veggies! read more
