I have been working with CTR for months about their refuse trucks dropping massive amounts of hydraulic fluid in front of our homes when truck picks up our can. They promised over and over again they would get their trucks fixed. Today our truck here in Morningstar dropped massive hydraulic fluid again. It appears I am to report again to MUD and again open up a report with BBB. It seems I will now have to call the Business license office to report and get some advice from them. read more

Worst trash disposal company I have ever dealt with. They lock you into a contract and charge you for routine trash services and then don't show or just come when the feel like it. When you call their office, good luck getting a supervisor or someone in charge. The people are rude when calling and I've been waiting 3 days for a supervisor to call me back. I'm about to call a tow company and have them haul this container off. They breached the contract by failing to show as promised. They're customer service sucks and they are more expensive than everyone . Stay away from this business. read more

We were over run at the marina after holiday weekend. When the driver showed up Tuesday we asked if he would dump the dumpster so we could reload with bags of trash that would not fit. He obliged us not once, not twice but three times we reloaded the dumpster. Got out of the truck to help us pick up loose items that spilled. I'm impressed! WARNING. CTR jacks up your fees whenever they want. 5 increases so far. READ your contract carefully. There's a 60-day advance notice to cancel, so put that date in your calendar. Don't accept a "removal fee" or "administration fee" or any other fee that you don't like. Insist on an annual maximum for fee increases. Be sure you have a signed copy of the contract. CTR gave good service, and I would have been a customer for life, except for the incredible price gouging after you sign up. read more

They are completely unreliable and more expensive than most dumpster companies. As a property manager, I was constantly having to babysit the dumpsters to ensure they were serviced. On top of that, the drivers lied about pick-ups, which made it harder to get my credits owed. After making the decision to terminate their contract, they said "end of the month" and then came to our property and took the dumpsters the next day. I have had this company service my apartment building in San Marcos, Texas for over 7 years now and the last 2 years. I've had nothing but problems with missed pick ups and poor follow through with customer service. The driver is either on his cell phone or not paying attention to his work. When they miss your scheduled day, they call it a "courtesy pickup" and then they come the day before your next scheduled day. Read the other reviews / completely unreliable I don't have any more patience or time to baby sit the trash. Absolutely inexcusable I'd give them a ZERO if I could. read more

This is a horrible company. They come into my apartment complex at 3 am 3 times a week to empty the dumpsters. They could care less if it affects your rest. They stopped for a few weeks after I complained but of course they started right back up again. This is in Round Rock. I wonder how they'd feel if I interrupted their sleep 3 times per week. I don't often give bad reviews, but this company warrants it. Not only is their customer service inexcusable, they rarely go to any lengths to make adjustments. Just last night, they came to the apartments near our house at 4:14am, and if you look at other reviews on here and Google, you will see they have the same disregard for others in the community. They go through cycles of being disruptive in the middle of the night (3am, 4am, 5am - I've been woken up at all of these times) and honoring the community's wishes to only come during waking hours. Unfortunately, they are mostly disruptive, and no matter how many times you call, they do not care. They're incredibly hard to reach when you have an understandable complaint. I'm very disappointed in them and dislike having to leave this negative review, as I wished for a first call resolution last year. read more

If you are a business do not use CTR, they are much more expensive and I tried to change after being with them for over a decade and the said I had signed up for another 3 years even though all I wanted was an additional pick up day. There are other trash pick up companies in Austin are you can use and they will be cheaper. They suck for home delivery as well but there is nothing I can do about that. read more

I had a bad experience with one of the garbage collectors not taking my trash two weeks in a row for the simple fact that I had yard trimmings in bags placed next to my regular garbage. I was able to catch the truck as it was coming back around and politely informed the driver that they had missed my house. The driver was very nice and professional and was about to take a left to get my trash however one of the collectors in the back came towards me in an aggressive manner rudely stating that they are not a landscaping company and that they don't have to take my trash. I informed him that not only have they taken my trimmings in the past but on their website it literally states they take yard trimmings under 50lbs. He rudely stated that I can contact the city all I want because they're not picking up any of my trash. So I took his advice and took my complaint up with the city and within 30 minutes a gentleman by the name of Ben Bracher contacted me and completely turned everything around. He apologized about the situation and made it right by placing an order for another team in the area to come by tomorrow to pick up my trash. An hour after my conversation with Ben I had some other guy call me with an extremely rude demeanor on ph# 512-867-5072 stating that since I had dirt in my bags they are able to refuse everything even my regular trash based on their contract with the city. I tried to get his information however just like every rude individual that works for this company he refused to give it. Originally I was going to pursue my complaint further with the city before Ben corrected everything. After my conversation with this other guy its clear they are not willing to correct the situation as customer service is completely hit or mess with this company so I'm going to follow my original decision and dealing directly with my city officials. read more

Consistently picking up the dumpsters from Tambaleo apartment complex in the early morning hours (anywhere from 3:30 am to 5:30 am). My fight with them is ongoing over the years. I've involved the APD district representative as well as the Tambaleo apartment manager. Pick up times improve for a while then return to the same old early morning wake up. read more

I can honestly say in my 12 years of working with vendors for commercial needs, this is by far the worst service I have ever received. This is the worst trash service I have ever had. Whenever I signed up for service initially I was billed for the whole quarter. For whatever reason, the representative over the phone accepted my payment for the wrong amount. I received a letter shortly afterwards with no explanation for the additional charges. I attempted to setup my account online with no success. I was unable to pay the difference because their computer system would not accept my account information in order to register my account online. This was not the first hiccup I encountered with the service. I received my second bill and attempted to register online yet again with no success. Around that time-frame, I started noticing the trash truck would miss its normally scheduled collection occasionally. My wife called once and was told "the truck broke down". We left the can out on the street a few times when it happened and the truck would come the next day or a few days later or sometimes not at all. We actually got an HOA complaint for leaving our can out on one occasion, but when we explained to them about the quality of trash service we were receiving, they understood and waived the fine. We started receiving letters (which were delayed) about service dates being rescheduled. We missed trash service once or twice because we were not advised about the rescheduled day before it occurred. We brought our can back from the curb and then the truck would show up the next day and empty our neighbors can. When I contacted them about my dissatisfaction, they did not take responsibility for their actions and they did not provide anything to make the situation satisfactory again. This company has horrible customer service. Our account manager is not quick to return my calls or emails. Every time I call them, they are rude and unaccommodating. I've had to call them frequently because they miss our recycling pick up more often than not. To prevent the pick up issue, I tried to change the pick up time. They said they could accommodate my request if we traded our dumpster for 5 - 96 gallon carts and then pay twice as much for pickup. Subsequently, I cancelled the service. The dumpsters were scheduled for pick up, but they only took the recycling. That was Friday, I'm still waiting for the trash dumpster to be picked up and it's Tuesday. Now, they are promising the trash dumpster will be picked up tomorrow, but I won't hold my breath. I signed up with a new service, bonus, it's cheaper and so far everyone has been quick to return my emails. The driver that delivered the new dumpsters was very nice and gave me his personal number so that I could contact him after CTR finally removes their trash dumpster. Very refreshing, after dealing with the rude staff and drivers at CTR. read more
