Hire them at your peril! They are not a local company. They book your business and farm it out to any joke of a company who has dumpsters available. They are nice and professional when you book, but the end result is anything but professional! I ordered a 15cubic yard for a garage cleanout. It was quickly changed to a 20. OK I can make that work. The day of delivery, however, I was notified that they didn't have any 15s or 20s. If I had known this in advance, I could have booked with another company. I finally agreed to a 30 cubic yard dumpster at the same price with the understanding it was 6' tall with a door (positioned facing the street) so I could walk things in. The original dumpster ordered was only 4.5' high with a door. What they delivered was 6'8" high. The door was rusted shut, could not be opened. and was positioned toward the back of the house. I'm a 60-year-old 5'2" woman and cannot hurl even light-weight items over my head to clear a 6'8" barrier, much less anything even slightly heavier. They offered only a 40% refund plus I have to figure out a way to climb into and out the dumpster to remove an Easter basket and one flooring tile or they will not refund anything. Bottom line up front, your scheduled/reserved dumpster drop may not be honored, and you may not know that until 6 hours later. Also, these guys aren't local (you'll notice they don't actually have an address in Austin). It seems they subcontract, and if you check, all their bad reviews are from people in Austin. I am guessing something is wrong with whomever they subcontract with in Austin. If you are an Austinite, I recommend you use somebody else. I called Budget Dumpster Rental Monday morning at 8 am before work because I had a retaining wall scheduled to be ripped out by a contractor on Wednesday and I needed a roll-away dumpster for the cinderblock debris that would be left. They were easy to deal with on the phone and after calling around for a couple of other quotes I decided they had the best option for me and booked the drop-off for the next day. They called me 6 hours later to inform me that they didn't have a dumpster for me the day I needed it and they wouldn't be able to give me one until another day (contractor's already scheduled and has hired guys, no dice.) Essentially they left me scrambling in the middle of a workday calling around to multiple other companies trying to find a dumpster for the next day. All the ease of scheduling and customer service in the world do not matter if you can't depend on your reservation. You can use these guys, but not if you really need it the day you scheduled it. Budget Dumpster is scamming me with overage charges of an additional $460. I only needed a 10 yard dumpster to get rid of excess wood from a rebuilt backyard shed but, because they didn't have any in stock, I agreed to rent a 20 yard dumpster with a 1 TON limit instead for $399. I filled it roughly a third full with the wood and scheduled a pick-up. Everything was fine until today (2 weeks later) when they sent me a bill for overage saying I used 5.6 TONS of weight...I carried all the wood into the dumpster myself in one afternoon and can GUARANTEE it was way less than 1 TON of material...because I don't moonlight as the hulk. I called BD thinking they'd quickly recognize the oversight but each of the (very polite) reps I've spoken with today have just reiterated the incorrect billing amount and have said there's nothing they can do about it. How is this legal? Update (for manager Sean N.): I received a call back from Kayla in Billing who informed me, "There's literally nothing I can do" and when I asked to discuss w a manager she claimed she didn't have a boss but directed me to the customer service line or the corporate@budgetdumpster.com email box. Again, how is there no recourse for a customer and how can BD legally fleece ppl? I see now from other comments that the Austin office is clearly shady but how are they still in business? I disputed an overage charge on my recent dumpster rental, primarily because the terms of service wasn't disclosed to me until well after my credit card was charged for the rental. In dealing with Budget Dumpster's customer service reps just today, I was hung up on by one person who claimed they were going to direct me to billing, then when I spoke with the second (much nicer) person, she informed me that billing only works 'online' and doesn't take phone calls, despite having a call tree directed towards that department. She was kind enough to escalate me to the Solutions team to resolve the issue. Zach B. returned my call, only to repeatedly interrupt me, stated multiple times that the sales rep was not responsible for disclosing the overage charge I disputed, and through tone and statements made on the call implied I was stupid and unreasonable for even questioning their policy. I asked for a statement regarding the overage and asked who to contact if I don't receive it. He sent a text stating that I could contact there, but has so far not returned my text to confirm receipt. Based on his customer service skills alone, I'm not holding my breath. The service itself was painless: received the dumpster and the driver showed up on time (with the very generous window of 12 hours). However I cannot recommend this service when there are several other local alternatives. There's not enough transparency, and they are far too willing to charge your card before sending an invoice or details. read more

Unfortunetly this company does not stand behind their work. Had damage to a site and property and turns out they just rent services from Grime Time. They mark up the price, reduce the load so you are forced to potentially pay more and then if there is an issue try to put it on the other company. I would advise to either use Grime Time directly or another direct service. The cost of an issue is high and this company doesn't back you up - avoid! We recently rented a 30 yard dumpster from Budget for a huge clean out/move. From the phone call to ask about their services, to the dumpster drop-off, to the pick-up, it was the easiest thing we've ever done! And the best decision ever. We were able to throw away old worn out furniture, boxes, old books, electronics, heavy old rugs, drywall and so much more. We didn't have to worry about garbage cans and pick up, or having to hire a junk removal service or having to find a place that takes old computers and electronics! Couldn't have been happier. Shopped around for a bit and the prices I was getting were a bit steep since we are a little ways out of the city. (we are out in Point Venture / Lago Vista). Budget was the only one with a reasonable quote on a 20 yard roll off. Driver was very careful delivering the thing. Initially my impression was very good. I was put on hold during my first call and they played "don't worry be happy". It put me in a good mood and I thought I really like this company already. the delivery was scheduled for two days later and then I got a call that it will be three days later. No big deal. they delivered a bigger dumpster then we paid for but they said no charge. Ok, everything is going good. then I called to schedule pick-up for one week ago. I still have this hulking big dumpster in my driveway. I call everyday. And I have spoke to a very nice person, Maddie, who is really trying to help me but even she can't move the pick up people. I have been told three different days maybe and now it is scheduled for tomorrow. We'll see but considering I have a party scheduled for tomorrow night I will probably be stuck with it another weekend. I have told them I do not have street parking, only driveway. Even Maddie's supervisor can do nothing! Anybody own a dumpster removal truck that would like to help me out?? read more
