I used to use Waste Connections but feel that their business practices are predatory, as they doubled bills frequently which I believe is an attempt to mess over elderly people or those with auto pay. When they've come, you even know because they neatly leave the can sideways consistently to denote that. I saved 60% by switching over, they're local, the lady on the phone was super nice, I just so happened to meet the owner this morning and he's a top notch guy. Since buying our house, our trash can has said Recon with this phone number on it. We started getting skipped by our trash company in the recent because of it. The level of service has been unacceptable and has caused ongoing frustration. For years, I did not have issues with trash pickup, but recently the service has become unreliable and inconsistent. Missed pickups have become a recurring problem, and communication from the company has been poor. When concerns were reported, there was little effort made to resolve the issues in a timely or satisfactory manner. To make matters worse, I was required to pay additional quarterly fees because my residence is located on a dirt road, despite the fact that service was being provided and the trucks were already traveling down the road. On many occasions, drivers would reach the end of the road, back up, and leave without any apparent difficulty, making the additional charges difficult to justify. As a paying customer, I expect dependable service, accountability, and basic customer support. Instead, I have experienced missed collections, poor communication, and a lack of professionalism. My husband was able to reach out by calling/texting and someone was quickly able to provide a quote of $450-500 for labor, haul off and disposal which was very fairly priced. The final price was $600 as we didn't drain the hot tub and that would be a bit extra which we were fine with them handling to deconstructing and hauling away all. They also were able to quickly get us on schedule and the day of, updated us on their ETA during the arrival window. The crew was very professional and friendly and we were thrilled with the work and treatment of our property and hauling away everything, like you'd never know something used to be there, aka a hot tub! The electrical portion was left and the guy stated we could have an electrician come to cap it but other than that, JunkGuys was so helpful and great at taking care of this so quickly for us :) We look forward to reaching out again and using them next time we have projects that require further clean out and removal of things!
