My husband was able to reach out by calling/texting and someone was quickly able to provide a quote of $450-500 for labor, haul off and disposal which was very fairly priced. The final price was $600 as we didn't drain the hot tub and that would be a bit extra which we were fine with them handling to deconstructing and hauling away all. They also were able to quickly get us on schedule and the day of, updated us on their ETA during the arrival window. The crew was very professional and friendly and we were thrilled with the work and treatment of our property and hauling away everything, like you'd never know something used to be there, aka a hot tub! The electrical portion was left and the guy stated we could have an electrician come to cap it but other than that, JunkGuys was so helpful and great at taking care of this so quickly for us :) We look forward to reaching out again and using them next time we have projects that require further clean out and removal of things!

Realizing we had no water, my husband went outside, saw the damage, and confronted the workers who admitted they caused it with their vehicle. He then called the number on the truck and the person on the phone immediately became confrontational and belligerent, going on about being disrespected. This guy arrived on the scene a few minutes later, where he continued to be rude. My husband started filming the exchange after the guy said "that's the problem with you white people moving into the neighborhood". Splash employees claimed that they didn't do it on purpose, which of course is bullshit. One look at the huge trailer they drove will tell you that it will completely wreck a rain-soaked lawn. Austin Water came out, but because the pipe damage was on our side, not the city side, we were liable for the fees to fix it, and we just paid a plumber $1,800+ out of pocket. We don't yet know how we're going to address the damage to the landscaping, which is significant. We are still trying to figure out if they're a registered, insured business, and if we can go after them for the damages through our insurance. In the meantime, just trying to get the word out about these assholes. Avoid them if you're looking for junk haul / yard cleaning services.

Trash pickup is an important job, but apparently it is not important to this COA affiliate. Worse, I had to call 311 several times to get attention to this recurring issue ( and they were very helpful and friendly, btw). I was allowed to contact Dayne- the supervisor for trash pickup- but was stonewalled by him. He would not answer the 3 emails I sent. With my trashcan overflowing and no reason for it to be left un-emptied, I then tried to escalate my request through 311 but was told I had to wait 2 business days. However--to their credit, yesterday afternoon the can was emptied while I was at work. Lingering question--why does Dayne appear not to care about this? He appears to dislike reminders that his department made another mistake. Good customer service COA style would have meant an immediate apology and a friendly offer to fix the situation. So, I am going to make sure others know about this recurring trash pickup problem, and yelp is just one way. Customer service from COA is usually great. I'm sorry, but this time it didn't happen.

This is the only dump I've ever been to in my 37 years on planet Earth that didn't have me wanting to puke while being there. I don't know what their methods are but to me that's amazing! I've been a few times but I had to dispose my old bed recently which caused me to make an appearance there. The dump is actually in Creedmoor (It says Buda on Yelp) & FM 1327 is a quiet & pleasant little road to travel along. The nature preserve surrounding the landfill is also pleasant to look at & is kind of cool that the landfill is trying to make good use of the land surrounding it. The overall cost of disposing my old bed + large boxes left behind from the new bed ended up being around $67. That with the $45 U-Haul pickup rental + gas was still cheaper than paying the furniture store's $189 disposal fee. The employees I dealt with were friendly, had good attitudes, & from an outsider's perspective they seemed to be well taken care of by the company they work for.

The level of service has been unacceptable and has caused ongoing frustration. For years, I did not have issues with trash pickup, but recently the service has become unreliable and inconsistent. Missed pickups have become a recurring problem, and communication from the company has been poor. When concerns were reported, there was little effort made to resolve the issues in a timely or satisfactory manner. To make matters worse, I was required to pay additional quarterly fees because my residence is located on a dirt road, despite the fact that service was being provided and the trucks were already traveling down the road. On many occasions, drivers would reach the end of the road, back up, and leave without any apparent difficulty, making the additional charges difficult to justify. As a paying customer, I expect dependable service, accountability, and basic customer support. Instead, I have experienced missed collections, poor communication, and a lack of professionalism. The overall experience has been frustrating and disappointing. I cannot recommend Texas Disposal Systems based on my experience and would encourage potential customers to carefully consider other options before choosing this company.
