Not bad for Chinese food. I stick with the general tso's nothing too far out there. Frie rie is good

If you're staying at one of the hotels close by this is some fast, efficient, decent Chinese food that will satisfy your tastebuds! Yeah there is a careless teenage working the register but who cares, the food was fast and good. Got the boneless spare ribs and pork fried rice which were very classic for $8.50 and the wonton soup was very good! read more

I have been to this place countless times but after today I'm not sure I can go back. A family runs the restaurant and most of them do just fine with customer service but there is one daughter who is so incredibly rude I don't think I can go back. This has happened more than one time but today was the straw that broke the camels back. I come in and say hello to her and she just looks at me and says nothing. I say hello again and she just blinks her eyes. I can't deal with that type of rudeness and disrespect! read more

Best General Tso and Sesame Chicken in town hands down!!!

So this place says its open till 1030 on friday nights. Based on reviews I thought i would give it a shot. Its 8 pm and closed. Wont give this place a shot I guess. read more

Great Chinese food for a great price. I enjoy the General Tso's chicken - it's most like the kind I used to get in New York. Always seems fresh, too, which is why I always come back. Totally a family restaurant - they have their kids working the cash register and sometimes the daughter is cooking. They work hard, and put out good food. Lunch prices are great. Dinner can be costly, but when you consider the amount they give you I always have leftovers, so no biggie. read more

Tried it based on convenient location and reviews. Best I can say is that it is adequate if you're hungry. Large portion of General Tso chicken in a combo plate. Flavor was typical but needed more kick and spice. Fried rice was bland. Egg roll was thick and gummy at the end and had no flavor. Good prices. read more

I'm from New York and am very picky about my Chinese food. I've lived in NOVA since 2003 and FINALLY found a place that understands a combination platter comes with pork fried rice! I've gotten the sesame chicken and the chicken with broccoli combos. Both were great. Wonton soup had pork and scallions in it also. This is the only place we will order from now. Also for those who gave this place a bad review because they have their kids working in the restaurant, I LOVE IT! It's called a work ethic and I encourage it. Do you Ding how! I will. read more

Food wasn't very good, the meat tasted exotically strange???? They employee small children to run the front end. The children who were about 8 and 10 seemed very unhappy to be forced to run the family business. Not a place I recommend. read more

Pretty standard Chinese food. I like the shrimp egg foo young. Its nice and clean there. Also I'd love to learn how a mom of 5 runs that place with little kids.. The older ones help after school. The kids are well behaved!!! I need advice lol. read more

I like this place. I always order combination Lo mein, house fried rice and an order of crab Rangoon. The only reason I really come here is because when you spend over 20$ you get a free crab Rangoon. The crab Rangoon is delicious, and the sauce it comes with is great too. The reason they're getting 4 stars instead of 5 is because it's kinda uncomfortable having little kids running around. When I went with my boyfriend there were kids ( obviously the owners kids) sitting at the tables playing with toys, leaving no place for us to sit while we wait for our food. Other than that the foods really good, id recommend this place to anyone looking for a decent Chinese take out. read more

I have searched high and low for good Chinese food in NoVa. My pursuits were never rewarded until my partner found these people. This is everything I wanted in a Chinese place - fast, hot, and flavorful! About on par with other places in terms of price except here you aren't drowning everything in soy sauce to get some flavor. The egg rolls are big and the sweet and sour chicken is ACE. The egg drop is bland, but if you mix the egg into pork fried rice, you have a masterpiece. Definitely recommend over others in the area. I'll be a repeat customer for as long as we are in Springfield! read more

The best chinese food i have ever had. Freshest tasting fried food without that heavy old oil taste you get at most restaurants. EVERYTHING was very authentic and just the taste was awesome and the food obviously fresh!! read more

Delicious Chinese food in Springfield area! The food was perfectly salted and not oily. Ingredients were fresh and the General tso chicken was absolutely delicious with lots of meat. read more

The best Chinese food I have ever had!! The fried rice is great and the hot & sour soup really hits the spot! And don't forget the fried vegetable rolls! read more

Regardless of how it looks from the outside or the inside, I come by here whenever I want to reminiscent the quick Chinese food I had back in college. They have boneless bbq spare ribs on the menu that my roommate could not find around the area. read more

The wife found this place on yelp, on a day we were in the mood for a new carry out Chinese food place. I am very happy saying this place is awesome, the lunch specials are great (amazing deals) and the food was delicious! Looking like we found our new spot...the chicken with garlic sauce is now my wife's favorite and the egg rolls are the best I've had in this area. A legit mom & pop spot, and our new take out spot:) read more

This place is fishy and not in a good way, When asked for a detail receipt they cant provide one because "they dont do that here" how does an order of chicken with fries and sesame chicken with 2 sodas come out to 23.00??? The portions are smaller than other restaurants in the area this will be the first and last time...if you dont want to be overcharged go somewhere else read more

For a Chinese take out place I give it 5 stars. The food was good and made up in a timely manner. My family and I were staying at the hotel up the street so we ordered over the phone and walked over to pick it up. It's obviously a family owned business as they had the kids running the counter. But It was probably the cleanest Chinese takeout storefront I've ever been in and I've been to a lot! read more

The food was very pleasant no reals thrills. It's just your basic carry out selections. My family and I really enjoyed our meals and will definitely order here again. read more

Food is very great, good customer service and place! The workers are very kind and smart! Last time i went there a lady was complaining about how she cant eat pork cause of her religion and stuff, so she is forcing them to change them when she didnt ask or say anything about she can't eat pork when the kids were taking her order! And she even wrote a review in yelp! How rude! That's her fault for not saying it to them about she can't eat pork. I was listening to them like just wow. Oh yea and also I think she has a bf right next to her and he was much nicer to the kids then the lady. Boiiii if I was her, I will just accept it cause it will be my fault for not saying it and like just give it to someone else or take the pork out myself. And she's just plain rude to the kids. I just want to say this so yea. But the food there is vv great and sooo delicious!!!!! read more

I rarely comment on Chinese carry out. This is the third time I've picked up food at Ding How. The first time I said - fair to Midland. The second time my wife said...why? This third time I'm certain of the question. A 2 out of 5 and nothing more. The chicken was under cooked and tasted like rubber chicken. And the rice had a funky taste I could not recognize. At least the egg roll was hot. However, I'm sure it was previously frozen and shipped in. Does anyone make their own egg rolls anymore? Adequate at best. read more

Marco craving #chinese so we went for Chicken in black bean sauce. Very clean and food is hot and really good.

It's not like the old days, but it's still pretty good. Back in the day (70s!), the owners rolled their own egg rolls, which were astonishingly good. The world moved on, and it's not quite the same. I don't think they're homemade egg rolls anymore, and I don't care for the new ones at all. That having been said, I was recuperating from flu while staying at the Residence Inn, and the only thing I really wanted to eat was won ton soup and beef lo mein. Ding How was my family's go-to carryout place for years, so I knew where to go. The won ton soup was basic but good. The beef lo mein used to be beef, mushrooms, and noodles, but now it's a bit lighter with other vegetables included. I preferred the old, but the new is quite serviceable. My parents prefer newer places over in West Springfield, and I mostly agree with them. However, if basic carryout in Central Springfield is what you want, Ding How is pretty good. read more

I've tried Ding How on three occasions now and I'll say that the food is ok. They're not the friendliest folks and I would say that they are certainly not the fastest. Once, I called and was given the standard 10 minute pick up time and when I got there in 10 minutes, my food had not even been started and the cook was somewhere in the back of the store. As a result, it was more like 25 minutes before I left the store. If they had been really busy or if the food was "to die for", I could look past it, but having to wait for mediocre food and feeling like they didn't care if I was there or not has me going other places. The lo mien is ok and the egg rolls are too, but they don't offer a shrimp egg or spring roll. I will still use them if circumstances are just right and it's simply a matter of convenience, but I won't go out of my way. I wish there was a way to give a 2.5 star rating. read more

**HORRIBLE ATTITUDE/INCONSISTENT FOOD** I went to this restaurant after searching the DMV area for good Chinese take out. When I first visited this place I was surprised at the good taste and quality of the food. Unfortunately, recently they've decided to let their daughter take people's orders and she has the WORST attitude. She does not speak before or after taking orders and she acts like you are inconveniencing her (and she does speak English). Don't bother telling her parents because they won't do anything about it. In addition, they've become inconsistent with the quality of their food. It's such a shame because I really wanted to go to a good takeout place in the area, oh well. read more

Love this place. it's has been in Springfield forever ! I grew up here an we always always ordered food from here. Always will ! best take out in Springfield hands down ! read more

I tried to order carry out just now and the lady on the phone couldn't get my card number right. I said let's try one last time and said no I've tried twice with a bitchy attitude. I won't order from this place ever again and I don't intend do go inside either! If she wasn't in a bitchy mood and tried once more it may have worked. I'll give my business to a better restaurant! read more

Food and prices are good enough. The most important thing I've noticed is that they are humble and honest; they try to do their best. I like that! I live in the area, and I like that kind of people as neighbors. It is my favorite place. I go there almost every day. read more

I've been in Springfield for the past 5 years and this is the best Chinese food around. There is no difference in quality between pick up or delivery. Probably because they deliver so fast! This is a family run business which likely is the reason for the consistent quality of the food. The young lady at the front counter does a great job taking orders and is always friendly. I would highly recommend Ding How to anyone looking for good and inexpensive Chinese food. read more

I've ordered from this place before for delivery. I'm thinking 20-30 minutes tops. It took a whole hour for it to be delivered to my house, when I'm just 10 minutes away. I called to ask where my food was and I was speaking to a little kid and basically all she could tell me is my food will be there soon... I wouldn't of ordered it if it would take an HOUR!!! That's ridiculous! I decided to give this place another try because I do like the food a lot. This time I carried out. So I called a head of time to place my order & it's still a little kid taking my order, not telling me how much my order is going to be or how long it's going to take. Bottom line is I feel like they need to have an adult up at the front who knows what they're doing especially if something like waiting for an hour for your food happens again. read more

Holy $h!Z. Uhhhh, yeah it's that good. West coast good. Better. Better than west coast good. How in the heck did i never know about this place. Spring rolls - I was like a fat kid on cake. Garlic chicken - it was actually spicy - like its supposed to be (and if you don't know that, you've been eating the Chinese around here). Cashew chicken (oh guilty pleasure) was sooo ooo ooo good. And that is right across the street from Wine and More only makes the darn place better. Go. You wont want to hit another Chinese joint. Ever. read more

Love this place! The good is great, and the service (provided by a surly teenage [I'd assume] owner's daughter) is always accurate. You can do way worse than the good carry-out served with a scowl at this hole in the wall. read more

This Chinese Takeout place is one of the better ones I've had in Northern Virginia. I've ordered multiple items from here besides my usual Sweet and Sour Pork. Just had some chicken wings with fried rice last night. The wings were huge and crispy and the fried rice was on point. I haven't had a bad experience here yet and I hope I don't. read more

Delicious chicken wing even though their fries portion is small. The boneless rib tips are delicious and the only ones in the area.

My wife and I ordered Chicken Egg Foo Yung to share. My wife felt like there wasn't much chicken in the dish and I prefer dishes with more vegetables. So overall it was a 3.5. (If only Yelp had such a rating.) I would eat here again, especially because of how close it was to the Residence Inn-Old Keene Mill where we were staying. read more

This was the worst Chinese food I've had, ever. The spring roll, egg roll, and veg roll were inedible oil rounds. The main course general tso's was so sweet I called and figured they accidentally gave me someone's pineapple chicken. They said they didn't have pineapple and if I wanted to bring it back they make it spicy. It's a spicy dish! Everywhere! Not a sweet pool of sauce. Anyone who reviews this a good Chinese has never had good Chinese or has zero idea of what a culinary expectation is. read more
