I arrived at noon and the parking lot was already pretty full for this very unassuming Chinese…read morerestaurant from the outside. There is plenty of free parking which is nice. When I walked in the atmosphere was great, I could smell good food and heard conversations. There's a large area with large round tables to right and to the left are booths and almost all of them were full. The menu was a mix of Americanized Chinese, traditional Chinese and included Dim Sum as well. There were a number of dishes we didn't know much about and there were dishes being enjoyed by other customers that looked delicious. The wait staff was more than happy to explain the dishes and/or show us on the menu what someone was eating. They took very good care of us and shared the tasks of bringing our food, filling water, and just checking in. Now the food. The food came out very quickly! We all received a well filled bowl of rice. First out was the string beans, perfectly cooked, not droopy, and the flavors of garlic and hot peppers. Even though the peppers were there the heat was not overpowering at all. Next was the shredded pork with garlic sauce. The textures of the pork and bamboo shoots were a nice contrast and the sauce was perfectly balanced and craveable. The special grilled lamb, I was told, was some of the best in the city. It was tender and well spiced. Even when he said he was full he just couldn't stop eating it. For the dim sum order we got the shrimp dumplings, soup dumplings, scallion pancake, and sesame balls and they brought a soy sauce and a chili oil with them. The shrimp dumplings were tender but the dough was pretty sticky. I think this is normal and they were tasty with some of the oil on them. The scallion pancakes were very thin and gummy, this is the only thing we ordered that I would not get again. The soup dumplings were very small but packed a lot of flavor. The dough did stick together a bit so unfortunately some of the soup did leak out. The sesame balls were the hit and we're just the right amount of sweetness that we considered them desert. They were large, at least 2" in size, with a wonderful sesame seed covered exterior and a soft, sweet center. Chuan Jiang Hao Zi is a wonderful somewhat hidden gem. If you want traditional Chinese cuisine including all the different offal they have it and I would totally try it here over anyone else if I was brave enough. Portions were a good size for the price. I highly recommend checking them out!

I had the Kung Pao Chicken & it was by far the best I'd ever eaten. So many layers of flavor & heat. (a bit spicy for me, but I struggled through & loved every bite) Will definitely be back to explore some of the more "exotic" dishes on the menu. (Wasn't feeling to adventurous this trip) The restaurant was well decorated & the staff took great care of us. (saw a large selection of dumplings at this place too.....definitely be back to try those)

Probably helped in no small part by the lack of those dimsum trolley/carts that are pushed into your face as you're trying to enjoy what's on your table. If I had to pick just one, the Hung Sai Gow would be the star of the meal. The shrimp and cilantro filling were densely packed like a meatball; it was both hearty and bursting with flavours! We purchased another serving to go and it was a purchase well made. The turnip cakes is always one of our evergreens and this did not disappoint at all! The egg tarts were the least photogenic of the lot, looking pale and under-baked, but thankfully it tasted better than it looked. It was nothing to write home about, however with nothing to complain about either. The oddity, if we may so, for us was the sponge cake. We were curious and decided to try that on a lark. It was mildly sweet, very very bouncy and airy, and felt it must have been steamed instead of baked. We took it home and had it with our afternoon chai/milk-tea. It was delish. Actually we purchased one more to go so we were "blij ei" as the dutch would say! And oh, the mango pomelo shake was really good and I would highly recommend it (if you enjoy mangoes). The service was prompt and friendly, and the ambiance was calm and relaxing. I would definitely go back!

Daniel made it so easy tonight for my husband and I . We've always said we wanted to try it - our 2026 is about doing it , not talking about it . He recommended the XiXia stirred noodle with beef and mentioned they make their own soy for it . I wanted to try the hot pot noodles . We got to choose wide or thin noodles (they're fresh !!). We got wide for the stirred and thin for the hot pot . We also ordered the pork , shrimp and chive dumplings . First of all - the handmade dumplings . DAng . I don't think I'll ever get BIBIGO again with this place so close . Melt in your mouth delicious . and they were large . We totally loved both noodle dishes . Stirred noodles were the hit - the sauce is homemade and they were wonderfully tender and dang that homemade garlic/soy sauce !! They should bottle it . The hot pot noodles were awesome . Like a lo mein but not even close because the noodles are handmade . And can we talk about the beef ? Not chewy at all . Lots of Chinese beef dishes have chew to them . This was melt in your mouth tender . We loved both love Thai food and my husband said this blows Thai paradise away( noodle dishes ) . I agree . Handmade noodles will always win . We'll definitely be back . And with family/ employees like Daniel , XiXia is sure to win and gain so many more customers . He is awesome !!!!

We ordered a bunch of soupy pork buns (XLB)- hands down the favorite for the kids. They took a little longer to come out but everything else was quick. I got the Spicy Beef Stew Noodle with wide handmade noodles and baby bok choy. The Szechuan peppercorn spice hit just right-- tingly and balanced. The noodles were bouncy with a perfect bite, the bone broth was rich, and there was plenty of meat (a few pieces a bit tough, but still solid overall). Hubs got the Curry Chicken lunch special and cleaned his plate. Service was great. They default to forks, so ask for chopsticks and soup spoons if you prefer them. Ordering is through a tablet, which keeps things moving and you pay at the counter. Everyone left full and happy, which is really all you need to know. NOTES/TIPS: **Wheelchair-accessible. Easy parking in shared plaza lot. **Clean bathrooms. **Bonus: their takeout containers are high quality and reusable.

We got a few dim sum dishes as well as Chinese home style dishes as well. As for the dim sum dishes, the scallop dumplings were my favorite because of how chewy the skin was. Although the shrimp dumplings were good, they were on the soggier side. The chive dumplings were also super packed with pork and chives, and they were wonderfully crispy. The spicy pork dish was very good, with lots of thin sliced pork, squash, mushrooms, scallions, and onions. If you're into spicy food, definitely enjoy it with their pickled jalapeños and red pepper oil. Chinese stir fried veggies make it so easy to get your fiber in as well. These veggies were super flavorful with lots of garlic and they were tender too! We finished the meal with some fortune cookies and the best part of the meal was how friendly and sweet our servers were. The workers were elderly men and women and they were so nice. They made sure we had everything we needed and even gave us candy as we left. It reminded me of how much I loved seeing generations of families getting dim sum together on the weekends. Definitely will be back for more the next time my dim sum craving hits!

Is not hard to find if you just follow your GPS, but if you just want to look for it, is kinda hidden, is behind the famous Waffle House. lol I went around 7pm on the weekdays, only maybe 3 cars parked outside. I'm not really sure they super slow on the weekdays or taken it easy day for them. What I mean by that you may ask? Well, when I walked in, I felt like they just open or they about to close, because after you at the counter, only the left side of the restaurant have lights on, on the right side the light is off, that's what I mean felt like they just open but not yet have all their lights turn off, or about to close, but I honestly think weekday is slow days for them, maybe? Anyway, the server which I only saw one, she really nice. There 2 different menus, one is the regular lunch and dinner Chinese restaurant menu, another smaller one is the dim sum, , not the full dim sum menu, maybe have 10-12 items I ordered the Beef Chow Fun, also on the dim sum menu is the Shrimp Rice Noodle. The Shrimp Rice Noodle is not one of the best, actually I think the dim sum here is not very good, I felt that they just giving the customer another options. The Beef Chow Fun is very good, so far I tried is one of the best in Columbus. I'm giving it 4 stars, will definitely Give it a try if you can just ignore half restaurant being close. lol
