This was my first time here and they did not disappoint. The food is exactly what I would expect from a diner. I got the Route 66 burger and it was delicious. And our server was very nice and on top of it- getting our refills (without even being asked). And she was more than patient with a very needy customer in the booth next to us. We were excited to try Dimple's Diner. We love a classic diner vibe. However, we were disappointed and will not be back. The diner itself does not feel clean and the seating is cramped. The menu looked great but what we were served was disappointing. My husband and I shared the Philly Steak Omelet with hash browns and biscuits and gravy. The omelet came out as a scramble and the eggs were overcooked. The meat had no flavor and was tough to chew. The onions and peppers were undercooked. The hash browns came out very crispy, my husband enjoyed them, but I found them difficult to eat. I had to pick through the nearly burnt potatoes. The biscuits are seemingly a can of pillsbury biscuits and were still raw on the inside. The gravy was decent but nothing I would seek out again. The service was fine. Needless to say I do not think we will be back and I don't think I could recommend this diner to anyone. read more

Tried this place today. I got the corned beef hash and wife got chicken fried steak. The amount of food enormous. I got mine with eggs hash browns and biscuits and gravy. Wife got home potatoes and pancakes with hers. Food was good and the price for amount of food was well worth it. If in the area again and go back we will just order one plate and split it. read more

Food was very mediocre. Hash browns were soaked in grease. I ordered fruit which was 90% green melon and not my favorite. The worst thing was the arrogance and rudeness of the server. They close at 1:30 so if you get there in the last 45 minutes prior to closing be prepared to be ignored and feel rushed. There are several other breakfast/ lunch places in the area to choose from. I wouldn't go back. Note that this hasn't happened just one time. I wouldn't have gone this last time if a friend wanted to go there. read more

I think all classic diners should be a 4 or higher. Only higher if the food and service are special. Dimples has good basic food. I have the eggs and corned beef hash. Good portions, but the corned beef hash was not the chunky meat type that is so good. So, it's a 4. By the way, one very nice waitress and one kind of grumpy one. Everything that I could have imagined a neighborhood 50's and 60's diner to be. Can we say Nostalgic ? Food was reasonably priced. I am not sure if they honor military here but I can say this was the first time in 15 years of my life when I actually got the hash browns exactly as I asked - CRISPY- and they were crispppyyyyy straight up mouthgasm! French Toast could have had more flavor and the meat in the PATTY MELT could have been more seasoned and the diner could have been more clean - but besides that I would go back and also recommend for the experience. This is by far the Best breakfast place in Visalia. The service is always great. The 2 waitress Ladies always give you excellent customer service. They're super nice and attentive to your needs and always treat you with respect and are always courteous and friendly. As for the food, it's always super fresh and cooked to perfection. Those two young guys in the back definitely know how to cook. There's one with a black Niner hat who Always makes the best chicken fried steak on the planet! It's Bomb!!!!! Today I had another young guy make the most amazing Dimple burger I've ever eaten. It was absolutely Amazing!!!!!! I'm definitely getting it again. This place is a MUST if your ever driving thru Visalia. I highly, highly recommend this joint to everybody. It may look like a motor home of weird building but the food is Awesome!!!!!!!! The place seems decent on the outside, but once you get in, it almost makes you want to turn around and leave. For one, it's very small and customers are crammed in like sardines. Now, for the most important part, it's so dirty and disgusting! i was put at a booth up against a wall and was afraid to touch it. the walls are filthy! they have records and pictures on the walls that have food and fingerprints all over them. Window blinds are falling apart and windows are disgusting. Booth upholstery is torn. Wait staff was good and prompt ; however, it took over 30 mins to get us our 2 breakfast dishes. The food saved this review because if it wasn't for the good food, I would have given the rating a 1 star! IMO this place needs to close for a weekend and gut it out and do a massive cleaning and revamp. It's so small that it wouldn't take much time. As it stands, I don't see how it can pass a Health Department inspection. read more

Today was my first time visiting Dimples Diner. I ordered the bacon and cheese omelette, with hash browns and sourdough toast. The food everyone had was very good, and it was very filling. Something I didn't like was there were no pictures on the menu. There was oldies from the 1950 on the speaker. Our waitress was very kind. I loved the atmosphere. However the family behind me when they sat down, I could feel it on my side. Overall, I had a good experience. I recommend checking this place out if you want an old school vibe. read more

What a unique diner ! Decorated with antiques and cool gadgets you feel like you have gone back in time. I had breakfast here with my family on a Sunday morning. The restaurant is small so on busy days be ready to wait. We waited about 30 minutes for a booth for 4. I would not recommend Dimples for large groups. I really liked that the kitchen is open so you get to see them cooking your food. We were seated near the kitchen and enjoyed the show. I would recommend their biscuits and gravy! I was asked to be placed on hold, but unfortunately waited for over 5 minutes. Stopped by this cute diner after yoga one day. It was nice to see they were still sitting people inside during a pandemic. Seating was limited though. I sat at the counter and 15 minutes later the waitress brings me the menu and takes my drink order. I figured since she took so long to even notice me I should order before she forgot me all together. I ordered the vegetable omelette and coffee. The omelette was drenched in cheese and the vegetables tasted days old. The coffee was also watered down. I pretty much left my entire meal behind and asked for the check. Maybe I didn't order the right breakfast. However, what I ordered and the service on this visit was very disappointing. Parking is available in the back of the diner and along the street. I mentioned to her we've been waiting outside and were unaware we needed to put a name on their list as we thought it was just first come first serve. The food is Always delicious and the waffle is my favorite. The French toast is really delicious also. They offer flavored creamer as well as regular. One of the things I love about this place is the 50's music that's played. Every time I have gone to Dimples diner it's packed but worth the wait. The cooks are fast so even when it's busy you won't have to wait too long. The reason I didn't give a five star is because they don't refill the coffee very often. I do highly recommend this place. The food is good, however the service is getting bad. Yesterday, my husband and I went, and we had to wait. A few minutes later two men came in , and they were talking about how his daughter knew the waitress. I didn't think anything about it, all of a sudden, she came out, and welcomed them in. We decided to go somewhere else. Today a friend, and I decided to go there. A different waitress came up, and asked if we wanted coffee or water. When she came back with it, I told her we were ready. Her response was I will be back when I am ready. We have gone there for years, and have never been treated like this. We will not be going back. It's too bad when prices go up, service goes down. I've heard great things about this place, but I can't say I had a good experience. I understood that the wait for a seat would be a while (30 minutes) but when they started calling people that had arrived after us, I started getting frustrated. It turns out they skipped our name. Fine, things happen. About 45-50 minutes after we initially arrived, we finally get seated at the same time as two other parties. We knew what we wanted and ordered first, but our order was not given to the cooks until after everyone else's which made no sense. We should have been seated a while ago, so to then have our order actually put in after the other parties was really upsetting. My husband and I both ordered the ultimate breakfast sandwich which is under a section that says "served with hash browns, breakfast fries, country potatoes, or fruit and toast, biscuits and gravy or pancakes". This reads two sides but when we asked about it apparently the bread of the sandwich counts as a side? This is the most ludicrous thing I've ever heard. The waitress we had was very nice and understanding as she was apparently new and also didn't understand how this makes sense. On top of this, the sandwich just tasted like oil. Everything on it was so greasy that oil is all you taste. This was the absolute worst breakfast experience I've had at any diner in visalia and I will never return. read more
