There is no indoor seating but there are some seats outside where people seem to eat their food. Steamed food (siu mai-pork and shrimp dumpling, shrimp rice roll, and bbq pork rice roll)-3/5 stars. It was fine. The rice roll was a little bit thicker than what I'm used to. The sauce the gave me for the rice roll had too much oil so it separated a little. Only downside was that the food was a little cold. Better to microwave first if you can. Fried foods (crab Rangoon, stuffed dumpling with pork, and pork potsticker)-4/5 stars. Everything came out pretty crispy and tasty! My boyfriend was a big fan of the crab rangoons. I liked the stuffed dumpling with pork but I didn't like how there was a lot of fatty pieces inside. My favorite is charsiu bao, so soft and sweet and salty and hot... omg it was so good that I finished 3 The siu mai was also good flavor with big shrimp. This place is your average Dim Sum Bakery and will satisfy that craving. IMO, It doesn't live up to the original location in Daly City where it's way better and family friendly for dining. It has a whole salty egg yolk, mung beans, Chinese sausage, pork belly and a small mushroom, exactly what I expected! Limited quantities- when they are out, they are out for the day! My friend ordered a large variety of dim sum to go. She told me they freeze well too. I ordered a small sample of 3 different items- BBQ pork steamed buns, shu mai, and shrimp har gow to go. Three pieces are $4.35 They are all deelish! The BBQ bun had lots of meat and ratio of meat to dough is perfect, not skimpy. The shu mai is a good size and flavorful. The har gow is lovely- a good size shrimp. The best! Dim sum is decent but not great. The pork shu mai was really large pieces but not very flavorful. The crispy shrimp rolls were the highlight as crunchy on the outside and packed with shrimp on the inside. The shrimp and chive dumplings were good but not great. I made the mistake of ordering chow fun which was flavorless. Also ordered the sesame chicken. Which was also just okay. The service was outstanding though and it looked very clean. Craving the dim sum classics like Har Gow, Siu Mai, or Shrimp Balls at a low price? This place is for you. And for me. The best part? They're on DoorDash so you don't even have to leave your house if you're in the area. Funny enough, I actually didn't physically come here until a few weeks ago even though I've made many orders from here. Everything is roughly $4ish per order so $20 will get you into a nice food coma for lunch. Siu Mai and the Shrimp Balls are a must. The wrap for the Har Gow is a bit thick for my liking, but the shrimp inside (as with all the other dishes), is legit and stacked. Not like the gelatin mixed pasty shrimp you get at some restaurants. These pieces are also thicc. I'd recommend 2-3 orders per person for a nice lunch, maybe 3-4 for dinner. But hey, order more and you got yourself a midnight snack or breakfast for the next day. Here's what I got 3 pieces har gau 3 pieces steamed custard bun 2 pieces baked custard bun 2 pieces crab rangoon 2 pieces shrimp ball 2 pieces shrimp pocket $28. I don't even understand how that math happened. Looking to order similar through grubhub, it's cheaper with more pieces (I only got 2 instead of 3 of the non-steamed items, which is usually priced per piece in the restaurant). Great value for take-out dimsum on a budget, but I'd recommend staying away from their more entree type stuff and sticking with their dimsum items. Dimsum quality ranges from decent to passable, but the crispy pork tray we got felt far overpriced for rather poor quality cuts. Ordering manually in the store was reasonably quick, but I had some communication difficulties with the waitstaff due to them not recognizing chinese names and having some unusual in-house names/labeling (Pork football? Chinese tamales?). Maybe I'm just new to the area, but I wasn't the only person in line that had difficulty telling them what I wanted and we resorted to just pointing at what they had in the display case. Discounts are available, which I found nice (5% for cash, 10% for military, 10% for orders of $100+). Parking wasn't difficult due to strip mall parking. This might be important for folks worried about cross-contamination: the staff ended up dripping the entrees all over each other as they served out portions. Generally not very stringent controls on that front, but the dimsum items (separate case) seem to be safe. Which is all fine and good since the one entree item we did get (crispy pork belly) was one of the most fatty cuts of meat I've ever had. I'm not one to complain about it normally since it is supposed to be pork belly, but it was difficult to eat after a few bites being mostly less than 10% lean meat and didn't seem to justify it's inflated price tag of $16.50. It was definitely a big downer of the meal. Everything else we got I can say I was reasonably satisfied with given a good price (xiu mai, steamed BBQ pork buns, glutinous rice pork dumplings, sesame balls, spring rolls, large vegetable chow fun, custard bun), so if I wanted to fill that dimsum craving on a budget this is a solid option. That said the dimsum quality varies. The BBQ pork buns were definitely the weakest of the bunch and were remarkably unremarkable. The xiumai had a nice sweetness to them with the added corn, but were a bit dry. The glutinous rice containing items were also a bit dry as well. The chow fun was a massive (greasy) serving, and great value for an $11 item. Volume-wise we got enough food to feed 3 people for what I expected to feed two, so I can't complain there. read more
