They use to have so more options at Dim Sum King. I can definitely tell the difference. There's some dim sum here and entrees, but nothing very eye catching to me as before. I ordered the eggplant stuffed with shrimp dim sum. That was my fave. The crab Rangoon was quite small and lacking of filling and flavor. My husband has the beef chow fun and we have definitely had better and tiny pieces of protein for the price was not worth it. Also had the shrimp with black bean sauce and it was definitely very basic. Service was still pretty good. Food definitely not what it used to be to be.

I came here with my teammates, and the servers were amazing to be able to quickly host a large party. The space was decent with lots of seating and overall fast service. The food was okay, I think it was a little lacking in flavor/freshness as I would like, but I had a good time enjoying with friends.

Slamming in dishes two feet from our table!!! She refused to move it!!!

Stopped here for lunch. Ordered the Mongolian Beef and my son the Wonton Soup. The lunches are $10-$12 including a beverage. Excellent deal!! Good size portions and very good quality. Service was great. Interior is plain but clean.

Ambiance: A sit down Chinese restaurant that isn't a buffet, unique! Service: Very kind, helpful and quick! Service with a smile and no complaints with our to-go order. Food: It's the prices that did it for me in this review! I got the general tso's chicken and wanted fried rice to go with it and that would have been nearly $30 alone! Must have some high rent $ being so close to UTC mall. So I just got the chicken with a side of broccoli for about $20. The food wasn't anything special especially for the price, still looking for the best general Tso's chicken in Sarasota.

Nice quiet place with great food and service. We ordered several things: walnut chicken, beef and baby bok choy, red pork, shrimp/pork and chicken shu mai, and beef ribs. All tasted great! Will come back again :)

Really like this place wished they were down here in the Gulf Gate area! Ordered the SS Chicken, Scallion Pancake, and House Fried Rice. The SS Chicken are perfectly portioned sizes and FRESH!!

What a gem!!! This is my favorite Chinese restaurant in Sarasota by far!! I'm used to eating good authentic Chinese food in NYC, and this is the inly place here that is just as good! Yes, JUST AS GOOD! Staff are super friendly, and the there is a great selection of food. It does get a bit packed in the dining room sometimes, but there's a reason for that! Show your support for this solid local Chinese restaurant. Trust me, you will enjoy it. You can thank me later! :) Stay Fresh Mother Fooders :p

I found where all the Chinese go for dim sum around here! Food was authentic and freshly made. We had all the classics from Hong Kong: char siu bao, ha gao, cheung fun, short ribs and chicken feet!

Will return although their food is generic. They've similar name with Diu Sim Kitchen, which can be confusing. The staff here said after a second or two pause, with bit tight facial expression that Kitchen's chef used to work here when I asked. Location: by the huge mall area, off the major roads. Decoration: pleasant with high ceiling. The drawings on their windows are whimsical. Service: very good. Food: generic. - The Shu Mai came so fast, before the tea was served, and it's lukewarm. - Shrimp dumpling is ok - tofu skin roll, uncut and looks old - chicken feet are over cooked Jasmine tea is really good and I like the shape of the tea pot We ordered Hunan beef to go, which is pretty good. The staff asked us if we'd like an order of rice which is an additional $1. In general, in the past, rice was usually free, comes with a main course. But I think the additional charge is a good thing - make people to think if they really want it - may reduce waste.

Delicious food! Dim sum was excellent. Cannot wait to go back! Better if you have more people so you can try more tasty options.

The dim sum is very good, but the things that are made from their menu are just mediocre.

Our party of 3 was seated at a comfortable booth and our request for oolong tea and iced water was quickly filled. The menu is extensive but we had no problem choosing. Who could not resist the colorful dim sum platter which looked like a bouquet of flowers served in a traditional bamboo steamer? The exquisitely prepared dumplings tasted as good as they looked. My mother relished her bowl of shrimp wonton soup. The wontons were so large that she cut them into bite-sized portions on a small plate! She also ordered the vegetable fried rice which was impressive, filled with very fresh pieces of broccoli and other veggies. My sister had the bowl of seafood tom yum soup and loved it. With medium spice, it was perfect for her taste. The bowl is huge so expect to take half of it home! I've always been interested in Singapore noodles so that is what I ordered, and was not disappointed. The shrimp were plentiful and the medium-spiced curry sauce was delightful. Thanks to generous portions, all 3 of us will be enjoying leftovers the next day. Do yourself a favor and come out for this restaurant. If you like fresh, excellently prepared Cantonese-style food that is beautifully presented by a helpful staff, and that is a good value for the money, you need to treat yourself to a meal here at Ginger Dim Sum. We'll be coming back.

The smaller plate concept is perfect for me, as I really enjoy trying a few bites of multiple different things and this format enabled all of us to sample a variety of dishes on the menu. I'm almost 4 months behind in getting these pictures posted and getting the review written...but the positive memories of everything that we tasted are still pretty strong. Since the list of the dishes we ordered and tried is quite lengthy and there wasn't a single one of them that we didn't like, I'll just list everything that we ordered here and you can find pictures of each below as well as in the embedded video. For our dinner we had the following (see the order form we filled out at the restaurant below as well as a QR code to see pictures of all of their menu items in the pictures below): - Spicy Cucumber Salad - Soup Dumpling w/ Pork (6) - Pan Fired Bao Bites (8) - Dan Dan Noodle - Braised Beef Noodle Soup - Fried Rice (Chicken) - Beef Pancake Roll - Zen Chili Wontons (6) - Signature Xlb Sampler (6) If you found this review helpful, please Share, Follow & Like.
