We had the dinner combinations . My wife got the Sesame Chicken with fried rice and spring roll. I ordered the Mongolian Beef with the fried rice and spring roll. Both dishes were excellent. The owner does an a great job serving and the food comes right out. Nothing special with their sparse decor. read more

The food is always good and No MSG!! I truly recommend this restaurant!! And it also is in a really convenient location.

Great food! Highly recommend trying the Duck! So glad we found Asian dine in or take out so close to home!

Tonight we tried Asian Kitchen just off Clark Road. Could not be more pleased. Krab Rangoon is the best I've ever had and I am a connoisseur of them. Our entrees we perfect and delicious. Wife and I will absolutely make this our go to place for Asian food. We live in South Venice but it's more than worth the 20 mile drive. read more

The food is excellent, well prepared, and all the vegetables and meat are fresh. They're always really friendly at the counter and make you feel welcomed. read more

I liked our visit We made it back to Asian Kitchen for dinner yesterday. We got a friendly greeting and had a choice of tables. They offer a fairly extensive menu so it did take us a few minutes to decide what to order, in my case their Happy Family. Happy Family has all sorts of meats and seafood and veggies in a brown sauce. It was quite a pile of food, and came with a small bowl of white rice. I don't have a high opinion of Chinese takeout food in general and this seemed like takeout food on a plate. There was nothing at all wrong with the food, maybe it was the thin sauce that lowered my appreciation. We got great service with people checking on us, the food taking just over 10 minutes. Overall, I liked our visit, so I'm giving them a qualified 5 stars even though we may not return. read more

Consistently good food. Was a regular there when I lived close. I'm now in Lakewood Ranch and find myself there at least once a week. The food is worth the trip! read more

is good food dear and great service are food is amazing I love it so much you must go dear and test it is same thing my comment

literally the worst most unflavored chinese takeout i've ever experienced, the orange chicken was soft and had pockets of oil inside the breading, they added a $6 tip for themselves without my knowledge do not come here if you value your taste buds or money. read more

Very good food! The lunch special is a great deal you get lots of food for less than $11. I love the Mongolian Beef and the Kung Po Shrimp they are my 2 go to's. They are always very kind and welcoming, some of the best service I've receive! read more

Best Chinese food we've had in Florida! Oh so good, had beef teriakyi appetizer (yummy and chewy and savory). Then we split Mei Fun noodles (with chicken and we asked for it spicy) and Tofu with vegetables. Everything was cooked to perfection. The sauce in the tofu dish was so flavorful, not oily, and delicate -- just fantastic. The Mei Fun noodles were also wonderful, with sliced vegetables and lots of snow peas -- and it had a kick. The service was great, the food was wonderful and we will definitely definitely be back. Don't miss it! It doesn't look like much when you first walk in, but looks can be deceiving and this one is a gem! read more

First dish was Seafood Delight. It would have been a delight if there was any seafood in it. 5 shrimp, 2 scallops, and 3 rubber band looking, tough, tasteless things that I think were supposed calamari. 95% of the dish was under cooked crunchy vegetables. The dish also had zero seasoning and the 2 scallops were over cooked rubber. Second dish was chicken lo mein. We asked for extra sauce but they must have misunderstood us, because there was barely any sauce at all. This dish was also under seasoned. Literally had no taste and the 6-7 pieces of chicken in it was horribly over cooked. The egg rolls were under cooked and doughy inside. Took one bite and threw both of them in the trash. The crab rangoon was what you would expect. Frozen, fried and served with tasteless sweet and sour sauce. 75% of this dinner is currently sitting in our driveway trash cans. Just horrible and somewhat typical for a Sarasota Chinese restaurant. Why is good Chinese food so hard to find here? read more

This place was such a gem! We came in for lunch while on vacation, and it did not disappoint. We ordered crab rangoons, honey garlic chicken, and house lo mein. The chicken was fried crispy and tender inside with a delicious honey garlic sauce. The lo mein was flavorful and delicious . Súper happy we chose this place! read more

This is our go to restaurant for Chinese takeout! Super nice owners and delicious food! I appreciate the gluten free ginger sauce and the Pad Thai. My husband likes the Singapore Noodles. The tale of two entrees. Chinese Restaurant reviews tend to have either a five or a one-star rating from the reviewers. The food strikes you one way or the other. Since we are new to Sarasota, we are in the process of finding our favorite dining locations. I tried to order a port egg foo yung combo since a love egg rolls. I was informed that was not an option although it is listed on their site as one. I ordered it off their regular menu with an egg roll as an appetizer. The egg roll was different from any other I have eaten, and trust me I have had scores in the past. The skin resembled a tempura batter. It was not to my liking. In addition to the skin, the filling was scant and bland. Dosing it with chinese mustard turned the tide. The egg foo yung patties were tasty and three in number. What was unusual was the "gravy." It was thin and light in color, not the typical thicker brown sauce, devoid of flavor. Overall the patties were very good but the egg roll and sauce were lacking. My wife ordered a combo, beef with mixed vegetables. Typically she will get beef and broccoli, she rolled the dice and changed her order. Her experience with beef entrees is that the beef is normally chewy. This was not the case with her dish. It was tender and well-seasoned. Egg rolls are not her cup of tea so my observations were not shared. She would definitely order this dish again. This is another case where what you order will temper the rating of your overall impression. We will return and I will try another entree. Depending on what you order will dictate whether or not you will return. I will just stay away from the egg rolls. read more

Update! Service and ambiance has not changed. The front counter and possibly the owner are always so nice. I have gotten a few other dishes over the past and they are really good. Chances are I might have gone there on a bad day or just wasn't the right dish for me. No it's not NY Or wherever you came from but being treated right by the owners and decent flavor makes up for a lot. read more

This evening was my first time ordering take out from Asian Kitchen. To be blunt; BAD, BAD CHOICE!!! Ordered Hunan Steak, Szechuan Chicken and Shrimp Lo Mein. The steak and chicken had absolutely NO FLAVOR WHATSOEVER!!! Both were supposed to be spicy. The steak was visually dry and tough. The vegetables, especially the broccoli were hard. They only gave us a few packets of soy sauce and duck sauce. Two bottles wouldn't be enough to save that meal. The Shrimp Lo Mein and sticky rice was somewhat acceptable. The price wasn't bad. However. The old adage; You get what you pay for comes to mind. Finally, the portions were huge. Thankfully, tomorrow is trash day.... Dario read more

We ordered here based on the reviews. We ordered orange, chicken, Pad Thai and crab Rangoon. The orange chicken was inedible. The breading was mushy, there was no flavor, the broccoli was gray. The side of rice, was not sticky or even any good- it was dried out. The crab Rangoon was obviously purchased frozen, not made fresh. I was like they can't screw this up! Nope, no Bueno. It was not very good at all The pad Thai had no sauce and no taste. I realize this is not a Thai restaurant, but Chinese restaurants can usually get the dish mostly right. 80% of our meal, made it into the trash. We will not be ordering there again. read more

The boneless spareribs are disgusting and massively overpriced. For $16 they give you a pint of dry pork that is the type you would get shredded in wonton soup. When I called to question this the guy hung up on me. read more

Went to Asian Kitchen for take out. Orange Steak, 3 Kung Pao, lo Mein and egg rolls. First time here. All dishes were cooked well but everything was way too bland, lacked depth and flavor. If you want me back as a customer you need to kick it up a notch or two. Have eaten Chinese food in China Town (NYC), Los Angeles, and San Francisco. Been to Bejien China in 2000 for business. Cantonese with no flavor either. It's all style. Schezuan and Hunan are more my flavor profile. Guess I'll keep looking around town as a local. Don't get me wrong, they did a decent job but I need dishes with more flavor punch !!!! Pick up was helpful and courteous. If you're 70 years old with a sensitive stomach. This is the place for you. read more

I read excellent reviews of this place and it isn't too far from our home. Their website and menu looked quite good. I tried to call them, but didn't get an answer. We decided to drive and after getting there they had a small card on the door informing us that they were closed for several weeks on vacation. They could have put something on their website. They could have put something on their answering message. They could have posted on Yelp. Instead, they did nothing, and the only way one could find out was by physically driving to their restaurant. Highly inconsiderate! Instead we went to Dim Sum King and had a great time! read more

Clean ,friendly with delicious food! Portions are large. Will come back soon! Finally real Chinese food in Florida! read more

I decided to try to this place since it had 4+ stars and was utterly disappointed. I just moved from NY/NJ and have yet to find good local takeout Chinese food in Sarasota. I'm not sure if the cooks here are trying to cater to the locals but any Asian would be disappointed as well as people from NY or CA where Asian food is common. Food was bland and I can get better egg rolls at Costco thats frozen and Panda Express. There was barely any pork or egg in the fried rice and the egg roll looked nothing like any egg roll I've had my entire life. I hope you take this review as constructive criticism and improve the flavor and quality of food. read more

Tiny little place in a strip mall off Clark Rd. Crab Rangoon was not great, nor were the egg rolls but my Chicken Curry with mixed vegetables was pretty good. Asked to have the vegetables cooked longer and they were tender but had to pay extra to have them add onions. Who doesn't automatically include onions in a veggie stir fry? This seemed odd. read more

I'm kind of shocked at all the good reviews for this place. I must have gone on an off night. The man inside treated me nice and was friendly. Food was merely okay and most ended up in the trash. I have had a hard time finding good Chinese in Sarasota, and well, this just wasn't it at all. It's edible but I don't recommend and I wouldn't order from here again. read more

The service is outstanding from the moment you walk in. The Ambiance is fine and most importantly extremely clean. The food is cooked to order, fresh, fresh, fresh and delicious!! The restaurant is not clean. The food was not good quality. There was a bug in my sweet and sour sauce. The egg rolls looked like they've been recooked several times. All of the food I ordered went straight into the trash. I'm disappointed I wasted $20 here. Even the soy sauce isn't real - read the ingredients; it's colored water and salt basically. The duck sauce packets looked like something gross was growing inside of it. read more

Overall the pepper steak was delicious. The meat was cooked right. The peppers and onions were soften perfectly and all the juice tasted delicious. The service was top notch and I got to thank my man Mark for staying on top of it. The ambiance of this place was real chill. Once I walked in me and a few other customer's engaged in a conversation being that we were from the same area. The only reason why I gave this establishment and 4/5 was because I ordered a small thing of wonton soup and I felt like it didn't have enough flavor. The juice wasn't as delicious as it usually is anywhere else and the wonton itself just didn't burst out with flavor either. Also on a good note the pricing is VERY FAIR for the amount of food and beverages you can get. read more

Friend and I had a late lunch at the Asian Kitchen. The food was delicious, the server was more than polite, friendly and helpful and the portions were most generous. Friend had kung pao 3 and I had general tso's chicken which was served with FRESH broccoli (not steam table mushy), pepper, onion and sliced carrot. After living in Florida for 25 years, this was one of the best Asian style meals I have ever eaten. We come from Arcadia and will be back!! read more

Tried this place based on the Yelp reviews, and wasn't really impressed with the overall taste of the food. The service over the phone and delivery were both fine, but the food was very average and weird/untraditional. The egg rolls were the weirdest dish, as they're huge and double-triple fried, making them overly crunchy and flaky. And it's stuffed to the brim making it taste really mushy, just the weirdest egg roll I've ever seen. And the spring rolls are the same; stuffed and mushy and huge, very odd. The crab Rangoon looked normal, but was the opposite, and there was like barely any cream cheese filling inside lol; rolls were stuffed, and this had nothing, so strange. The pork egg foo young and brown sauce did not taste good, and the sauce was like this really light brown color that didn't look appetizing. And the general tsos chicken and rice combo was average; tasted fine, but nothing special. Unfortunately, I wouldn't try this place again, but kudos on the good customer service. read more

Usually when you go to a Chinese restaurant you are met with the standard fare from the local Chinese food distributor. They either throw it in the deep fryer or throw it in the wok and therein lies the end of any talent in making your meal. Asian kitchen on Clark, located in the same plaza as geckos and Walmart, uses fresh ingredients, a fresh menu layout, and an amazing fried rice. This is not the best Chinese food in Sarasota but it is a very clear number two winner with no ties. Asian kitchen is the answer for your Chinese lunch cravings without going to the place that tastes like every other place you've ever been. read more
