Not bad, but still searching for really good Chinese food in the area. I was able to order online easily on my phone. The default setting on their site adds a 20% tip. ?!!? I'm not sure why I would feel the need to tip when I ordered online, drove to pick it up and then took it home to eat. We started with 2 egg rolls. They were very dry, had to drink a fair amount of water to get them down. The rest of the meal was fairly typical. With some hot mustard and soy sauce it was flavorful. Good for a take out restaurant. Food was great. The chicken stick wasn't dry. Super tender and tasty lots of meat. My only complaint was the fried dumplings only had a small dipping sauce which was only enough for 2 dumplings. You need a bigger one at least 4 oz . Don't put only 1 oz . Definitely not enough. The service left a lot to be desired. I said I was eat in and instead of serving my meal on a plate with real utensils I was called to the counter to get my food in a take out bag. When I repeatedI was eat in I was told this is how they serve in. Althought the food was quite good (roast pork with veggies) I had to eat it with a plastic fork from a paper plate that was given to me when I asked. The best steamed dumplings I've had in my life, the meat fills up the entire dumpling and is fresh, the wrapper is very fresh and thin not doughy. I drive over 30 minutes to this restaurant for the steamed dumplings. Ive had the sweet and sour chicken which was again very fresh. I don't know what it is with their white rice. IT IS AMAZING. I really like Sunny Wok. Yes, it's pretty typical of most shopping center Chinese restaurants in that it's primarily set up for take out. They do have a few tables for eating in but I'm sure that the majority of their orders are To Go. Everything I've ordered for myself and others has been well prepared, hot and tasted just as expected / hoped for. They offer the fresh hot mustard in addition to the standard packets as well as the hot pepper oil. I am now a fairly regular customer and I don't expect that to change. read more

As a chef, having many times in my life, pan fried noodles, which is a specific dish that is favored and well known by Chinese people, I ordered it from this restaurant. I specified that the noodles would be put into a separate container so I could combine the meat and sauce part with the noodles later. They said okay. When I got to my hotel I was terribly disappointed and actually felt conned that the dish had combined the meat and sauce with the noodles, and the noodles were not pan fried, and we're not the size of the usual pan-fried noodles, and only constitute about a quarter cup, where usually the noodles are quite ample. The gentlemen (cook) was sitting in a booth. I gave him my order. 2 gen tsos lunch specials. He said no, after 3 he cannot make. (Specials are marked 11-3. I got it.) I had high hopes as I am from up north and have had a hard time finding good Chinese and I don't expect gourmet just good takeout. I saw they had chicken fingers which is hard to find I don't know why... when I opened the container they were actually the size of a chicken toe, like lil pieces of funnel cake. Mostly batter lil chicken. Then the boneless spare ribs were like lil worms, dry barely any meat. Beef teriyaki was pink and I don't mean inside I mean like hot pink marinade color and so tough I thought I was eating jerky. Wontons in garlic sauce were blah, wonton soup was ok if you like thick dough. Pan fried dumplings were the only thing that were good but the dipping sauce as the same for the chicken was the size of a thimble! And I woke up at 2 am w the worst stomach pains. We have had a very hard timing finding good Chinese takeout since moving to the Lakewood Ranch area. Finally we found it! It smelt great upon entering and looked very clean.
