I recently picked up a dinner from the Bradenton store. It was very good tasting.. but I had a couple issues (not bad but...). The fried rice is good but it is a fluffy yellow rice that doesn't seem "fried". You might prefer it this way.. but I like fried rice. Also, both the Crab Rangoon and Pot Stickers were huge (good) but had very little meat in them. So when you get home and see the size, don't get overly optimistic. Top China is not your run of the mill Chineese restaurant. It's innovative with a Kiosk for in store ordering. They also have a Spanish version of the menu, very progressive. The beef and broccoli was well seasoned and very tasty. My friends Egg Foo Young was also served hot and was very good. Luncheon Specials are plentiful, everything you would expect. We have been customers at Top China for years. We have always been happy with the food and service, however we sent out there Monday and ordered our usual steamed dumplings and singapore me fun. We were VERY disappointed. Dumplings are not at all like we have had in the past and the noodles were so spicy as to make them inedible.I like spicy but this meal was crazy hot. This restaurant is consistently fresh and the food is always out on time (if they say 10 minutes it will be done at the time) . They make their food to order so nothing in just sitting out it's all HOT AND FRESH! Their fried chicken is very delicious and crispy and their general TSO is Sweet and crunchy. Ordered chow mein chicken platter with chicken fried rice. Came home to white sauce and lettuce, Chicken and rice(No chicken). When I went back they stated that chow mein isn't the noddles it's white sauce and lettuce. When I attempted to refer them to their website Which states that chow mein means crispy noddles not soft. The gentleman then told me they couldn't fix the order. So either fix the website to reflect that or honor what I was originally trying to order. I wasn't aware that chow mein means white sauce and lettuce, I figured it meant soft noddles like it does everywhere else.... including your website.. read more

We have enjoyed all of the meals we have tried here. I frequently get the shrimp egg fu young and my wife gets various chicken dishes. The $5.50 lunch special is a great deal that provides more than enough for two full meals. Unfortunately the fortune cookies aren't so tasty though. read more

We just came back from Top China Restaurant. We both had the Lunch Specials which are $5.99 and includes a can of soda. There are so many mediocre Chinese restaurants that we were "very pleasantly surprised" at the Quality and quantity of food and cooked to order meals. He had the Sweet and Sour Chicken with Pork Fried rice. The Chicken filled 1/2 of the Styrofoam box. I had the Roast Pork with Chinese vegetables. Deeeelicious and tons of food. They serve the meals in square Styrofoam containers piled high. I had so much Roast pork (it's actually BBQ boneless spare ribs) over a dozen very tender, large pieces mixed with Pea pods, Water chestnuts, strips of carrots, button mushroom and white onion. It filled 1/2 of the container. The other half was Pork fried rice. The place is very clean and doesn't stink of Chinese food. Decent ventilation system. We highly recommend it. read more

Not sure where all the good reviews are coming from mediocre food, dry yellow rice not fried. Packets for the sweet and sour, mustard and soy. I'd say this is equal to a Mc Donalds of Chinese food. Can't even get a glass of water only bottled that you pay for. No servers, walk up counter, order food, carry food back to table, cheap plastic spoon and fork, fork to flimsy to cut chicken and no knife to be had (just like Mc Donalds) Counter people didn't give a s**** unfriendly, grunted at me when I placed a order.
