We ordered: HK Creamy Bun (this bun came with a duck yolk and it was creamy and runny, very good) Siu Mai (this is a dumpling that had shrimp and pork, super tasty!) BBQ Pork Bun (this bun looked gorgeous and was good, I loved the meat flavor!) Sesame Balls Beef Beef Balls Potstickers (these were crispy and very delicious, better than all the restaurants!) Disappointed in the limited menu and the boba tea. First off: 1) beef stew w/noodles had way more fat than beef. Soup base was good though. 2) Not impressed with the pot stickers. It had zero favor and reminded me of frozen pot stickers sold everywhere else. 3) boba tea had a weird taste. Tasted like plastic and that only happens if the fruit sat in a plastic container for too long. Take note, the dining room area is small and the parking lot is even smaller. Noticed the sign after getting a massage next door. New sparkling clean inviting little place. They just opened 3 weeks ago. The server taking the order at the counter was pleasant and doing a great job taking order and making the drinks by himself during the busy lunch hour. The owner came out to bring out order and she was very friendly and made sure we liked everything. We had char sui buns, pork and shrimp shu mai and fried spare ribs. I liked the spare ribs best. Oh my gosh YUM!!! Please support this place because we need more GOOD dim sum places in Reno! I am from the Bay Area and I'm willing to travel all the way to Sacramento to get decent dim sum. The nice thing now is that I don't have to drive two hours to get my dim sum fix! Today, I tried the rolled rice noodle with beef. This was so unique and so good, the sauce was amazing and delicious. The noodles were totally what I wanted and the book choy in it made it perfect. I could order just this for a meal and be totally full and happy. I also tried the pork and shrimp Shumai. At other places in Reno, the shumai tastes like it came frozen and was just reheated. At this place, I could tell it was fresh. The wrapper was perfectly cooked and the pork and shrimp inside was awesome. The shrimp har gow was also really good. Not something I normally order at dim sum but so glad I did here. It was one of my favorites. I also ordered sticky rice and sesame balls - standard dim sum food but the sticky rice was just as good...if not BETTER than some of the dim sum I've had in SF, NYC, or the Bay Area. The sesame ball was a little small, but that's my only critique. The best part?? The HOT SAUCE!!! The lady working there asked if I like spicy sauces and I said yes. This stuff was the best part! Such unique flavor and such a good kick! It was the best spicy thing I've had hands down at any Asian restaurant. I will def be back. I'm really glad Reno finally has dim sum options. I think this is probably the best dim sum spot for Reno, which isn't saying much. I enjoyed all the dishes we ordered except for the beef stew with ramen noodles which was just ok. The shrimp dumplings, siu mai, sticky rice, and pork bao were great. I'm not sure if they were frozen or not, but it's more important to me that the food tastes good. The food is served with disposable utensils and dish ware which makes it feel more like a takeout place. I'm hoping with time they consider reusable utensils but this isn't really a big deal. I also hope with time the menu expands but I also understand it's a small operation in its early stages. Go support them! read more

I gave this restaurant four stars because I think their Boba tea is pretty good like five stars. Limited in choices but done well. But their dim sum is more like a three star overall. For Reno, it's not too bad. Some of the dim sum was decent and others were a complete miss but all of that felt homemade not frozen from the supermarket. You should come for the Boba tea where it actually taste like tea. Who knows? The dim sum may be your style. read more

So while staying at the peppermill in reno "new Vegas" I call it , if you've been here lately then u know!!!!!!!found this little gem located between Atlantis and the peppermill, they are brand new Super friendly family owned and a real Reno value compared to the casino high prices that's a plus!!!!! I ordered 7 different items to try and some of them are must haves , the pork and shrimp shu mai are fire and the best go to items on the menu , plus the egg rolls crispy and flavorful and the shrimp har-gow and pork/vegetables buns are really delicious I reccomend giving this place a try and they have many homemade teas to choose from as well , I did also order pot stickers and sesame balls they were ok but I think a little refining on both on cooking temperatures , both a little dry !!! I got the Dim Sum platter for $22. It was so fresh and delicious. I'm someone that likes variety when I eat, and they give you two of each dumpling and bbq bun that it really satisfied my cravings. Big fan of Dim Sum and was super excited to see this while driving by. Staff was super friendly and the order was ready in about 10 minutes. (If you get the ramen I assume it'll take longer) I ordered the Coconut Milk w/ Matcha and Boba, potstickers, brown sugar creamy bun, and shrimp har gow. Everything was really good and it hit the spot for my dim sum craving. The brown sugar creamy bun has a salted yolk custard filling which is absolutely delicious. I wouldn't compare this to the dim sum from Sacramento or San Francisco but it's a really nice and convenient way to get a nice selection of dim sum. read more

I don't normally leave reviews but i felt like this was necessary. Good food and better service. The woman working at the counter was very nice and was helpful with questions I had. She also ensured to have my food ready asap since we were on a time crunch. We ordered a decent amount of food to try and for the most part everything was delicious. Here's how I feel about the items we ate: Char siu bun: the bread was nice and fluffy, the pork filling was flavorful and packed into the bun. I read some reviews that they could tell it was frozen, but that was not our experience. Frozen buns usually have a soggy texture to it but ours was nice and fluffy. Pork siu mai: the wrap used was not soggy at all and the pork filling was really flavorful. This is usually the item that will make or break a dim sum restaurant for me, and this place did not disappoint. Fried pork spareribs: probably my favorite item, the pork was nicely seasoned and it was fried to perfection. Just be careful of the bones or you'll get an unpleasant surprise. The sweet chili sauce served with it made a nice sweet, spicy touch to the burst of flavor. Sesame balls: the mochi was fried well and it didn't have that greasy texture you'd find in some restaurants. Your first bite into it was nice and fluffy with a hint of crunchy from the sesame seeds. The azuki filling was the just right amount of sweetness My only complaint is it needed more filling. Milk boba tea: the milk tea is what you'd expect but the boba was what separates it from other places around town. The boba was not mushy like other places I've been to. HK style creamy bun: this is my only reason for the 4 star review. There were a couple of people who mentioned this as well, but this bun was not good at all. The bread itself was good but the filling left a very unpleasant taste and texture. It was like biting into an uncooked yolk with sugar mixed in. If I were the owner, I would take this item off the menu because it could change a persons experience from great to horrible really quick. All in all, I'd go back just to support a new business. We've been missing a dim sum spot in Reno and I'd really like this place to succeed. I hope they expand their menu in the future but for now I'm happy with the food and the experience. read more

Found this little place after shopping at the Asian market next door. My wife is from Hong Kong, so Dim Sum was a staple for us when we lived in the Bay Area. We were spoiled. Once moving to Reno, we found that we had to drive to Sacramento in order to find Dim Sum that was anything comparable to what we had become accustomed to. So we just had to stop in & check out Dim Sum hut. They had only been open a few weeks and the owner is a sweetheart. She hand makes everything on the menu there. We had the pork and shrimp siu mai and har gow. Very tasty and authentic. While it is great to see the diversification of food choices in Reno, you know that the only way these small restaurants will survive is if we frequent them. Me and my family came here hungry for our first meal of the day hoping to have some dim sum not knowing the portion we're gonna be so small. The taste was also not up to par. Adding to that we had barely any food for a total of 75 dollars, not worth it at all. We also bought two bobas my daughter got a taro milk tea and I honestly couldn't even call it milk tea, unknowingly the drink had a ton of coffee in it and my daughter doesn't drink coffee.
