Braised fried tofu dumpling
Kemlyn B.

This hole in the wall eatery is a hidden gem. If you are in the Chandler/ Mesa area, check this place out. I love the salt fish and chicken fried rice. The soup dumplings are also tasty. Please ask them for vinegar to pair. The sautéed green beans and fried bean curd skin dumplings are also tasty! Tasty food and affordable. I will be back.

Came here after a orange theory workout and it was great! Solid fresh dim sum in Mesa and very conveniently located near the Asian district and Costco. We got the bean curd rolls (tofu skin wrapped meat goodness), steamed shrimp dumplings, braised chicken feet, Shanghai soup dumplings. We polished it all off and they flavors were on point. Great value and taste. They also have a pretty big menu of classic Hong Kong and American Chinese classics!

8/21/26 First time visit, picked from a collection of Fellow Elites reviews I bookmarked. The power of Yelp I enjoy daily. Parking 5/5 Late lunch early dinner after a long day. Passed it twice but finally found it tucked between a McDonalds and a vacant adjacent business. Once we found it there were plenty of open spaces in the lot just south of the restaurant. Atmosphere 4/5 Curb appeal left a low initial impression as the business pads in the complex are a bit dated. Inside, the dining room was clean and not busy at all. Most of the business while here was call in pick up orders. Service 5/5 Given we were the only customers in the dining room we essentially enjoyed private service which was friendly, prompt. Food 5/5 Dim Sum is run by a family and serves Cantonese style food which is different than other regional Chinese dishes. Variety is a beautiful thing. Our order was a sampling of dishes to get an idea of what the food was like. Ordered steamed pork dumplings. Beef brisket and tendon soup. BBQ pork fried rice. Singapore Chow fun. Everything was delicious, my favorite was the brisket soup. To die for flavor backflipping good. My second favorite was their pork dumplings then the fried rice. All entrees came with very generous portions and could easily be shared. I brought home plenty for leftover lunch Saturday. Looking for Cantonese lunch or dinner without the crowds, Dim Sum Cafe my friends-SYOY!

Garlic green beans

We ordered too many food and had many leftovers. The leftovers were still great on the next day. The garlic green beans are the best! Chinese broccoli kailan are crunchy. Beef chow fun noodle is also tasty. The shumai dumplings are huge. The pork rib has tasty broth/sauce. They are really nice trying to help us fit every plates onto our table.

Walking in, this place felt very authentically family-run. Staff were attentive and kind. Unfortunately, their food was a miss. I was so very much looking forward to the dim sum here from other reviews, but didn't enjoy most of the items. The skin on the har gow and the shu mai were inedible. It's like they left the items on a hot well for a few hours and then served it to us - not fresh at all.

We were in the neighborhood and so we thought we'd check this place out. I would say it was alright but I wouldn't be in a hurry to go back. We were seated right away because the restaurant was pretty empty except for one other table. The place is small and the chairs we sat in were sticky. The server was nice and attentive. I'm not sure if we just chose the wrong dim sum to order in the menu but it wasn't what I expected. First bite of chicken feet tasted off. The shumai was meaty and felt too much in one bite so I only ate one. The rest was mediocre. We did order two main dishes as well but we thought the main dishes were a lot better than the dim sums we ordered. If I had to rate the food. Main dishes: salty fish and chicken fried rice 5/5 spicy eggplant w/ beef 5/5 Dim sum: Shumai 3/5 Braised chicken feet 1/5 Custard buns 3/5 Shrimp dumplings 3/5 Shanghai soup dumplings 4/5 Bbq pork slices 3/5 Steamed pork ribs 3/5 Overall experience was ok. The dim sum was definitely not the highlight. I think it's the main dishes that were good that we wished we ordered more of as they did have a generous selection to choose from in the menu.

Cute hole in the wall restaurant! I came in for lunch and they have a special with soup, choice of rice, egg roll, and the select entree. I got the shrimp lo mein with friend rice, egg drop soup, and veggie egg roll. Service was great, attentive, and friendly. I ordered some shrimp dim sum and it was delicious as well. Great spot for lunch or if you're in the mood for dim sum.

Siu Mai--also a little bland, but good with chili sauce
Alice F.

Our lunch was wonton soup, siu mai, har gow, bean curd rolls, chicken egg rolls, and Shanghai soup dumplings. Here are my ratings: Bean curd rolls 5/5--well prepared and a tasty garlic sauce on top Wonton soup 5/5--delicate and delicious broth with massive wontons Chicken egg rolls 5/5--generous amount of filling and nicely crispy Siu mai, har gow, and soup dumplings were all strangely bland in comparison. The excellent chili sauce helped, but I prefer my dumplings to have some seasoning on their own. Service was attentive, although the kitchen was a little slow. Don't go for the atmosphere--what do you expect from a strip mall restaurant? I wouldn't go out of my way to go back, but I also would try them again.

Ugh so good. I love coming here for some authentic dim sum! I highly recommend coming with a group and ordering a couple things and sharing. The service is friendly and attentive. The place is small but it's cute.

I don't want to leave a positive review because I don't want too many people getting in my way as I push myself through the crowd to enjoy Dim Sum Cafe dim sum. This place is great.

Visiting AZ and my family and I decided we wanted Dim Sum for dinner. We found Dim Sum Cafe which was only a few minutes away from our hotel. Service was meh. She was nice towards the end of our dinner. Glad they served Dim Sum All Day. Food: Shrimp Steamed Dumpling Pork Pot Stickers Fried Rice Beef Chow Fun Shanghai Spup Dumplings aka XLB Pork / Shrimp Shumai All the dishes were delcious. Very flavorful. The shumai was huge and I really enjoyed the soup dumplings. I would return again. Small hole in the wall spot. Nothing fancy just good food.

This place has been a favorite of mine for years, and every single visit reminds me why I keep coming back. It may be a smaller, family-owned spot, but the heart, passion, and consistency here are unmatched. Hands down, the best dim sum I've had in Arizona. Even when they're incredibly busy (which they always are for a reason), the service never feels rushed or careless. Sunni was absolutely amazing--so kind, attentive, and genuinely accommodating. You can tell she truly cares about the guests and the experience. There's something really special about supporting a local family business that pours so much love into what they do. You feel it in the food, the service, and the atmosphere. If you haven't been here yet, you're missing out. And if you have, you already know exactly what I'm talking about

Riese L.

Not much to say about the place. Food was bland. Mediocre at best. Wasn't bad, but wouldn't recommend or go back ‍

I like that they push the carts around as some places just have a menu to order from. We were able to get food quickly as they had multiple servers pushing different carts around. We ended up getting a few dishes: tripe, shumai, Chinese broccoli, bbq buns, roasted duck, roasted pork, noodles, and the rice paper shrimp rolls. All of it was really good! Sometimes it's a little hard to understand what the dishes are so I just stand up to look at what the dish is. The price was pretty good, all our dishes for a group of 4 was about $100. For a party of 7, the total with tip came out to $213.16 which is pretty good considering how much we ordered. We ordered several plates of dumplings, soup, fried rice, and duck. The duck was definitely my favorite. It was juicy, tender, and had a subtle sweet kick to it. I didn't really find it a place I'd want to go back to, but everything was still good.

We started with the cucumber salad, which was wonderfully crisp and refreshing, followed by the spicy wontons. Those were a particular highlight, with a beautifully aromatic sauce featuring an almost licorice-like herbal note and just enough heat to keep things interesting. The chicken xiao long bao were delicate, savory, and filled with flavorful broth. We also tried the sheng jian bao combo, which had pillowy-soft tops and beautifully crisp, sesame-studded bottoms without any excess oiliness. The restaurant can get busy, but the kiosk waitlist makes the process straightforward, and service was attentive once seated. A satisfying little dumpling destination that punches well above its price point!

The grilled section most of the meat is extremely tough or really chewy now , it's like the grade of meat has gone down and lacks flavor. The sushi area didn't have a variety like they use to and the front half was closed down. From the time we got there a little before 7:00 p.m. to when we left around 8:45, the crab legs were empty til about 8:30. So in the almost two hour time frame, the crab legs got restocked ONCE. Such a disappointment, esp since everyone rushed to grab some, so alot of people didn't get a chance to eat any. Luckily my son was able to get four clusters for the table to share. Our server wasn't attentive at all, had to ask him for napkins multiple times, ask for water refills , and no crab leg crackers or anything was given to us. Although I guess that last one didn't matter too much this time since there weren't really any crab legs that were offered. Our bill was around $76 for two adults two kids and this time definitely did not feel like it was worth it. Sucks to see with the beautiful remodel, the food quality and quantity has gone downhill.
