Soooo this is my second time trying Dilla Libre, but my first time at this location (Tres). I've been to one of their other spots before and I'm low key fascinated by this whole Vietnamese + Mexican fusion situation they've got going on. Like... it just speaks to me it shouldn't make sense but somehow it totally does. This location has such a fun indoor outdoor vibe with a cute bar right in the middle, and the whole space just feels alive. Also... random but there are wrestlers hanging from the ceiling?? It's quirky in the best way. Service was GREATTTTT. I did a build your own bowl this time and went Thai with a vegan option and it was sooo good. The cauliflower had great flavor but was a little heavy on the sauce for me, so next time I'd ask for easy sauce. Obsessed with their salsa and guac though. And I always appreciate that you can flip the menu and get a full vegan menu... not just a couple afterthought options. They also seem to have a lot going on event-wise, which I love. I saw a drag show coming up and they've got a DJ setup so you can tell it turns into a whole vibe at night. Only downside... the bathrooms definitely needed some attention but overall I'd still come back for the food, the energy, and how unique this place is. read more

Popped in at an odd hour last weekend before Super Bowl. The server offered both the brunch menu and the full regular menu, I was kind of craving chicken nachos but was perfectly content to order a quesadilla. The awesome server said any of the 'dillas could be a nacho serving, even though that isn't on the menu! The hallelujah chorus and angels stated trumpeting! I'm going to love it here! My companion ordered the All Thai'd Up quesadilla, which came stuffed with amazing seasoned chicken with this super indulgent 'skirt' of toasted cheese. The decor is really cool and a step up from the first location. Dilla Libre started as a food truck and has grown now to three brick-and-mortar locations. That's only possible by serving quality food and great experiences. Check them out and you just might find that Dilla Libre is your new favorite! I sure did. read more

A couple of places have come and gone from this location over the last couple of years, but I hope Dilla Libre sticks around. The service was so friendly from the moment we entered and were really good with our dogs. Love that they kept the super dog-friendly vibe for the patio. I was really shocked at the variety of quesadillas and had trouble deciding what to get. I finally went with the steak and blue. It was sooo good. I can't wait to be back to try the others. If you live in Midtown, and want an outside Mexican food experience (patio seating,) this will work for you. Having said that, I probably won't return. Food: Banh Mi Taco & carnitas taco. OK, nothing to bring you back. Price was a get what you pay for. Atmosphere : Inside decor was fun, many may like the vibrant music. Patio is great. Service: Attentive but here is the rub: They advertise a 16 oz $9 margarita. Definitely not what they advertise. We are budget diners, but will spring for high end for "occasions." When we go out mid week for happy hour, we want 1 great drink at full price, or mediocre drink at cheap price. This hit neither of those. The margarita tastes like those premade mixer drinks, which I can get at Mi Patio for $4. In addition, there is no way a "16 oz" margarita would fit in the highball glass. I asked the bartender "is this the 16 oz margarita?" To which she smugly replied " Yep". Then walked away. It was a highball glass with lots of ice. Either she has no experience with measuring ingredients, or she is put in a position to mislead patrons. That is unfortunate. Admittedly, when you get older, you might get sensitive to being treated like you are Irrelevant. Maybe you are on a fixed budget. Those are my issues...but serve what you advertise. Patrons deserve that at a minimum, especially if you choose to treat me like crap for inquiring. If quality is mediocre, charge accordingly. Great food! Had the quesadilla and it was what most people get and it was delicious. The salsa was delicious and definitely a fave with the chips and salsa. I didn't really see anything about their happy hours but I think this place is really solid for food. Wish the tacos were bigger and more affordable. read more

I found this great little place today. Plenty of parking. My pup was greeted with a smile. Five bucks margarita Monday was a nice surprise for this dog dad. I had the passionfruit and it went well with my tacos. For my second I upgraded to the spicy margaritta with pablano peppers. Amazing! The Thai quesedia or taco is the one to go for here. Unique sweet and spicy meets flavorful zing. Overcome with tears of joy! Sweetest thing with a bright smile that lights up the world made my short stay -- the perfect stay. Steak and blue cheese quesadilla? Yes! Super tasty. Chips and salsa! Yes! Super crispy thin chips, best salsa I've had in a long time, not too hot, not too spicy, just right. Don't advertise "slaw" as a side dish when you put a mixture of carrots and cabbage in the plate that's no larger than two tablespoons. And it's not even dressed. It's a garnish. Price is not good for size of quesadilla, 19.50 for a 8-10 inch tortilla with the same amount of meat you'd get in two tacos. Service was great. Margarita was tasty, happy hour special, albeit a bit weak from the frozen machine. You get what you pay for. Atmosphere, so confusing. Disco balls, vintage star pendants, vinyl records in the wall, and what looks like a broken apart DJ booth (please don't bring one in). The music level was absolutely perfect level! Hope this one stays. This location isn't known for keeping guests. Locals support this corner, so maybe think about doing something for them. I'll be back for the happy hour, as the menu looks fantastic and prices are great for the selection given. 3 stars for pricing and atmosphere. read more

I checked out this restaurant last week, and it was fabulous! I was very intrigued by the vegan menu and had an appetizer from that and then had a quesadilla from the regular menu. Everything was great, salsa was delicious and service was spot on. I think her name was Sylvia, she was my server and she was absolutely phenomenal. So knowledgeable about the menu and the drinks and just as friendly as could be. I sat on their beautiful patio and enjoyed a wonderful night. I will definitely be back. read more

Tried this place for the 1st time and everything was nasty. I got a shrimp burrito which I asked for no cream sauce it but everything else was ok remind you I hate beans & when I red of all ingredients that's in this order beans was not 1. So even after trying to just pick beans out I tasted that nasty creamy sauce which I specifically asked not to put in it. Also had an order of battered cauliflower that was nasty too too much batter that was mushy when u bit into it. I would not recommend this spot for good Mexican food. Live near by and decided to give this place a try. I sat on leaving a review for several days, but if my misfortune assists you from wasting money, then I'm here for that. We ordered 2 margaritas, the carne asada tacos, and the chicken tacos. The asada was $17 if remember, and hands down the absolute worst I have ever had. I haven't had Taco Bell in years and would rather have that crap all day every day, compared to those tacos. The tortilla broke apart when I picked it up, the meat was bulky, hard, and contained no flavor. Ditto for my wife's chicken tacos. She had to drown them in salsa just to salvage them.
