Long Ireland Celtic Ale & Shortrib Mushroom burger

Awesome casual ale house with a great kitchen, good crowd and friendly staff. Really liking this place. Short rib, mushroom burger I had was off the charts.

The ambiance is great. The staff so nice. I was not in love with the food. I think it was bland. Not cheap either. Too expensive for okay food.

This place was ok for the day after St. Paddy's day! Casamegos tequila $ a bit steep!

Diggers is an iconic Irish pub in downtown Riverhead. We have eaten here before, and I must say that their burgers are outstanding. Hubby had one of their signature burgers, that had pastrami, swiss cheese, grilled onions, and of course an 8 ounce burger on a brioche bun. He enjoyed it very much. I read about their new chef in a local paper and I opted for one of their specials that was offered. A seafood linguine, and although it was tasty, I think I should have opted for the duck confit , I will do that the next time we eat there. It was a rainy Saturday night, and I must say that our waitress was very cheerful.

Great bar/pub on Main Street in Riverhead. Stephen can pour a pint with the best of them. Had a wings, pretzels, buratta platter and prime rib dip sandwich with fries. It was all delicious. Will definitely be returning.

Last night my friend and I went to Digger's for dinner, our favorite restaurant in Riverhead. We both ended up ordering the same thing for dinner - French Onion Soup (Digger's has the best so far,) Pork Nachos Starter and the Nutty Irishman Specialty Coffee for Dessert. As always, everything was delicious. The staff is very friendly, and their service is excellent. If you're ever in Riverhead, NY or planning on going there you have to go to Digger's and try the French Onion Soup, the Pork Nachos Starter and the Nutty Irishman Specialty Coffee. Trust me, you'll be glad you did!!

First time here. Very famous bar and I can see why, bartenders are amazing and very friendly. Got there before the team showed up. I sat at the bar and it appears, happy hour is really happy. People having a great time. We were a party of ten with no reservations and we were seated immediately. Now that's service! Water was out in no time and waitress took our drink order. They must have known we were from the city. I ordered a Caesar salad without meat and I got a whole head of lettuce which I managed to finish between talking and laughing it vanished. Waitress was very sweet. I would definitely come back when I'm back in the area. Great service and fun place to let your hair down among friends.

Good Irish fare, good beer selection, good drinks. Menus also has bar staples like burgers and wings, also good. Casual rustic look. Nice staff. Not the fastest or most attentive, but nice. Reasonable menu. This is our 2nd time here. Both were for lunch, both times with my kids during day hours. They do have a kids menu. Would love to come for drinks at night and catch some adult fun. I had the fish and chips special. Unlike other reviewers, mine was very good. Crispy breading, not greasy, generous piece of Irish soda bread with waffle fries. I did not leave hungry. $6 kid menu, how can you beat it? $4 for a root beer? I think is a little excessive for a dive-ish Irish pub. Same with $3 for a soda in a small glass with lots of ice. Will that stop me from coming again? No. Food is good, and food prices are reasonable. Place is clean. Good for large groups too. If you are in the area, definitely worth coming for a meal, a snack or a beer.

Our waitress was wonderful and greeted us and gave us a menu for Restaurant week as well as the regular menu. The dining room was cozy and the decorations at the entrance were beautiful. We started with calamari from the regular menu, as well as chicken pot pie rolls with cranberry sauce and baked clams from the restaurant week menu. Then for my entrée, I got the flat iron steak with gorogonzola and chimichurri sauce, and my friend got the catch of the day which was a mahi-mahi. We both really enjoyed our meals and had a lot of leftovers. I liked the steamed veggies and mashed potatoes that my steak came with and she really enjoyed the fish then when we got to the end, we each got to pick a dessert and we tried the cappuccino mousse chocolate cake, as well as the chocolate ice cream. Then on the back of the receipt, there's a stamp for 10% off to purchase pies at the window outside from their sister location, NoFo Pot Pies. We had a great time here and service was excellent. I am looking forward to our next visit.

We had access to bathrooms right next to the space as well. The predetermined menu offered choices for salad, entree and dessert. We were asked about drinks upon arrival and refills during our meal, as well as coffee with dessert. My garden salad was full of a variety of greens and vegetables and the vinaigrette dressing was a perfect complement. Others at my table enjoyed the Cesar salad option. My entree was enormous, a perfectly cooked and very large piece of salmon. Served with rice and steamed veggies, it was yummy, filling, and satisfying. I would definitely return for a meal.

The description of the restaurant, the menus and the reviews online made us to decide to give them a try. We're so glad that we did! We entered through the bar entrance which was lively but not crazy loud. There was a musician setting up in one corner of the bar area. We could hear him during our dinner but it was not at all distracting (and he was quite good). We were greeted by one of the hosts (who I now believe may be one of the owners). We were welcomed and escorted to a table in the dining room right behind the bar area. From what I could determine, there were at least two other dining areas and an outside dining area (for dining during the nicer weather). Our server quickly came to welcome us, ask if we had questions about the menu / specials and to take our drink order. She was attentive, pleasant and was able to quickly and accurately answer questions that we had (we have some dietary restrictions and needed to verify some ingredients. She knew immediately what we could order to dine safely. We started our order with the Chiccharon appetizer. I had anticipated that the item would be traditional crispy Chiccaron. Instead the dish was more of a pork belly in a broth. We actually enjoyed that much more! It was plentiful, cooked to perfection and flavorful. For dinner my wife and our friend ordered the sea bass special. They both thought it was plentiful, perfectly prepared and tasted great. I ordered the pork chop with spicy cherry peppers in a light evoo broth. I told our server that I wasn't eating potatoes or rice and asked for a recommendation for a substitute. She recommended the broccolini which was a perfect alternative. My pork chop was served perfectly (medium, juicy,) and was huge! We passed on dessert but the options looked amazing. We will absolutely be back again SOON. Thank you.

There was a hair in it (I've worked in a restaurant before so I was extremely understanding about that). I sent it back for a new one and they took it off the bill without me asking. My husband ordered the burger and he devoured it. The truffle fries are a must. Last time they had a better more varied beer selection. This time they only had one IPA on tap but it was good. Overall a great experience and I'd come back again!

The food was great, and were we not stuffed from lunch, we definitely would've gotten some dessert. They all sounded amazing, but we were just too full. This place has a great menu with lots of things that caught my eye. I finally landed on their French Dip, which is one of the best I've had. The meat was ribeye, and it was tender and soft, not to mention moist. The au jus was flavorful and not too salty. The French bread had just enough crunch, but was also soft and easy to bite into. With the melted cheese and caramelized onions, it had amazing flavor!! My grandson and granddaughter split a grilled cheese that looked amazing. My daughter ordered the Bang Bang shrimp tacos, which she thoroughly enjoyed. My husband ordered a drunken chicken melt, which is essentially chicken parm with vodka sauce. He loved it !! Unfortunately, I don't remember what my son-in-law ordered, nor do I have a photo of it. Oops ! I wished my daughter and her family lived closer to Riverhead cuz I would ask to go here all the time.
