Let me set the stage: COVID-19 running amok, 4 of us wanted some clean eating, and there was that salmon meal that seemed to hit all of those components. Obviously, the order was to go and ordered beforehand. The transaction was seamless. The portion size was ample for the mac n cheese, salmon as the protein, roasted broccoli, kale salad and all of the requested sauces and lime wedges. Whilst eating, it occured to me that the food was only slightly above room temperature but I attributed it to the travel time from restaurant to destination chowdown. Unfortnately, I was the unlucky one that day. About an hour or two after eating this meal, it was rejected via retching and you know the rest. Luckily my dining companions were spared. Not sure if I just had a weak disposition or if they have the true stomachs of steel. I really wish that I had had a better experience but I did not. Sad face. Came here to grab a quick bite for dinner with a friend. I ended up getting a custom bowl with a base and 3 sides (the vegetarian option). I got brown rice and wanted to try some of their more seasonal sides, including the "fall orchard" which included a salad of celery, apples, grapes, and candied walnuts (these nuts were so good!), the butternut squash slaw, the cauliflower with garlic and parmesan, and the garlic aioli sauce on the side. The total came out to be 11.75, which is fair for what I'd expect to pay for a quick meal option like Dig but I wish they could've filled the bowl a bit more with the sides. I really enjoyed the cauliflower, though the butternut squash slaw was meh. I feel like it could've tasted so much better if the squash was actually cooked. And just as a heads up, while they label their ingredients/allergens really clearly and also acknowledge the risk of cross contamination, I'm not sure if I'd recommend to people who have super strict gluten-free dietary restrictions. I came in aware of the risk of cross contamination and felt a bit unwell afterwards. I love that Dig offers the ultimate comfort food and has so much variety you can choose from. My go to has always been the charred chicken bowl with brown rice, roasted broccoli (or sweet potatoes) and the side of mac n cheese. I love that they offer a variety of sauces for you to choose from too, so I go with the garlic aoli and pesto just to mix things up. The portions are great and I think it's worth the $14. The food tastes super flavorful, it's fresh and never seems to disappoint. Really do like their mac and cheese and would recommend getting that as one of the sides.
