We were a party of 5 (including my very finicky little cousin who is five) on Saturday January 17, 2026. We got there right when the opened. Ximena was our server and she was a delight. The food and drinks were great!!! This is a spot you might find in Brooklyn but SURPRISE!!! Guess what? I TOOK PICTURES!! To start, we ordered the mango mojito and a hibiscus drink. Both were nice. We asked for more sugar cane because we wanted it! (So good) HOWEVER, skip both and order the rum punch!! BABYYYYYYY it was great!!! We ended up ordering it and my cousin had TWO. Trust me, order the Rum Punch. The food was delicious! Be sure to ask for the homemade hot sauce. It is FIRE!! The food: the salt fish and ackee spring rolls were good. We ordered chicken bites and they were delicious with and without the sauce!! It was "child certified" by our little cousin. We ordered fries and asked for the tamarind / ketchup. Loved it! The Trini corn soup was devoured with barely any evidence soup was in the bowl! The jerk chicken comes out on its own as an entree. The sides are al a cart. It did not need sides as the portion was nice! The crab fried rice was delicious as was the curry vegetable fried rice. The beef lo mein was delicious. The beef was tender and not too spicy . Because it was going so well, we ordered cake: a carrot slice, and a coconut slice. The carrot cake we like better than the coconut cake. Both had icing we all loved. The carrot cake was a little different from any I have had, but it was good. The coconut cake was cold and I suspect it was the reason it was on the dry side. It had flavor just not as moist as we would expect. So listen, this is a two restaurant experience. In the morning there is a different menu. We came after 5pm. Suchhhhh a cute vibe inside. Love all the random decor and atmospherics. The service was super great and very helpful when recommending/taking my families order. Good Enough to Eat is really good enough to eat, but just barely. Got allured by their pies outside and ordered a blueberry slice to go. While they looked delicious, I personally think the visuals were better than the taste. I enjoyed that it wasn't too sweet, and it tasted fairly fresh. They also give you a pretty large serving per slice. However, it wasn't exactly flavorful, and pricing-wise, it wasn't cheap either ($11 per slice). Definitely wasn't the best pie I've ever had, nor the best value - I'd likely give it a 7/10. I'd probably try a different pie, if I ever come back; would recommend heating up in the oven and adding ice cream to it, as you do with most pies. read more

I miss the one on Amsterdam- both of them- the smaller one on the West side of Amsterdamand the larger one on the East side of Amsterdam. It just isn't the same place or quality. Came here for breakfast with a friend after running a race in Central Park. I wish I could say we had a great experience but the service from the waiter we had ruined it for us. It was as if he didn't even want to wait on our table. It took a while to get his attention to even place our orders. And when the food came, not ONCE did he come by and ask how everything was and if we needed anything. Yet he kept waiting on the other two tables beside us and took the table next to us' order way sooner than he had with us. We had to ask who I believe was the hostess, for condiments and the check. Our waiter didn't even make eye contact with us, which I thought was very rude (and that's coming from someone who used to be a waitress). As for the food, my friend and I ordered the Astoria Omelette and Provençal Omelette which were good - nothing crazy. I always walk by here and there's always a ton of people so I was so glad I got to try this place out. When our full party arrived, we waited not even 30 seconds before we got seated. Also, while you are waiting, the friendly waiter will pass out free samples which is so nice of him to do! I ordered the BLT Omelette and it was pretty good. I really appreciated the double-smoked bacon as it was incredibly thick cut but also crispy at the same time. The egg was also not cooked all the way but also not quite runny which is my favorite way to enjoy an omelette. I didn't care much for the biscuits but the strawberry butter was delicious. Used to be amazing- now has fallen into a sad state. $70 dollars including the tip for under seasoned chili cup (not bowel), over cooked fries on a salmon sandwich that is flavorless, a tuna melt that was soggy, and service that was friendly but reluctant. The decor is torn chairs and chipped walls - not in a fun art deco style but in the way a place that has just let itself go. It's sad. If you want to line up for something really good, do not waste your time here. $4.50 for a basic black coffee in a mug ??? The waiter though was very nice and efficient (can't remember his name sorry!). Restrooms (not very clean) are too close to the kitchen, when you exit them you must look both ways or you can be run over by a waiter who really don't care you're there! Stumbled upon Good Enough to Eat after my run with friends last Saturday. The ambiance of the place is super NYC and it definitely is consistently busy with lots of guests. The food was excellent over all and here is just a quick rundown of what we had: - Avocado and Cheddar Sandwich (so much cheese and an abundance of avocado! I really enjoyed this dish) the French fries were super crispy. - Protein special (my friend said that she thought it was an omelette, however, it was still a really awesome dish with tons of flavor) eggs were cooked perfectly. - Three Eggs w/ biscuits (my friend said that the eggs were cooked to perfection and that the biscuits were very tasty) My only complaint was that the service was very slow, we had to wait a very long time to get our drinks and my second Blood Mary was never brought to the table until we asked about it 20 minutes later. Returned to try some of their other brunch items, and I stand by my original rating and review -- portions are good, but food is pretty average, although I did like the items I ordered this time a bit more. - Corned Beef Hash: I thought this was tasty, but it was pretty oily. The buttermilk biscuit was thick and soft, but completely tasteless. It absolutely needed the sweet strawberry butter, which on its own was really good. - Ham and Egg Sandwich: Not bad, but on the plainer side. My sister who ordered this said it tasted like it was missing some kind of sauce. This is a cute and comfy brunch spot with a nice oldies music playlist playing in the background, but I don't know why this place always seems to have a line on the weekends. I used to come here when I lived in NY and have very fond memories of those days so when I found myself with some free time this morning and on the upper west side, I decided to stop in for a late breakfast. The salmon Benedict was also disappointing but I was hungry so I ate as much as I could - which was about half - before pushing the plate away. The salmon and English muffin were both cold. It would have been nice if they'd toasted the English muffin. I guess that song is right about not being able to go back again. As I'm prepare to leave, a few people have entered. I stopped by for a Sunday morning brunch and didn't have to wait long to get a table for 3 -- they have a bright, airy indoor dining area as well as an outdoor patio. We've been here a handful of times for both brunch and dinner, and have always had a wonderful experience. The prices are fair for the amount of food that you're served, you will leave satisfied!
