I was studying with classmates, and we decided to order food. Using my UberEats app, I found this place had good options. I ordered a grilled chicken bowl, while one of my classmates ordered a chicken pita. There are a lot of places that cheat you out of a good meat portion, but this is not one of them. There were ample amounts of chicken in my order, sitting on a bed of veggies and rice. The chicken was cooked with a nice blend of spices, and the meal was overall satisfying. My classmate was satisfied with her order as well. And this meal helped fuel our long study day. Healthy Choice is most definitely a good option for food. Consistent with their name, their food is both healthy and delicious.

The burger I got was terribly gross and soggy. And they cannot follow simple instructions.

When I got the falafel pita wrapped like a sub, I was suspicious.

I walked by this place last week, and someone was outside energetically advertising the food, and new to the area, I was intrigued. I took the menu and perused it several times through the week. I finally went in for takeout falafel pita, with added hummus. The man behind the counter also offered lettuce, tomatoes, and white sauce. The woman cashier was not wearing a mask and rudely responded when I told her I didn't have $2 for her to give me change for a $20 on a $6.54 bill. As for the food, the man behind the counter forgot to add hummus although I paid extra for that. The falafel had a very nice taste, although the preparer was heavy handed with the white sauce. When I opted for a pita instead of a roll, I expected the falafel to be IN the pita, not that the pita was to act as a wrap. I will go back to try the smoothies that looked terrific and also the make your own salad, with a wide variety of fresh items available. I don't know about ordering the same pita as I fear the language barrier will get in the way of making clear the options I want.

For a new store that still has big gaps in their stock, the counter dude needs to work on his greeting, as in there wasn't one. Sorry to interrupt your whole lot of nothing going on, but speaking when spoken to is Step 1 in Customer Service. As I make my way to the back thru a maze of open boxes, I'm curious as to why they aren't more fully stocked. They've been open too long to have such gaps in the Snapple case. The deli portion seems rearing to go. If I wanted coffee, there's a nice station by the door with packaged baked goods. But all I got was the runner-up fruit punch Snapple. I'm in the area enough, so I will try again, but right now it's a shiny, marble-topped meh.

    "tater tots" & "impossible burger"

I ordered from their "ranch burger co" on GrubHub and got absolutely nothing like what I ordered. Impossible meat burger looked gross, and was real beef, not vegetarian. "tater tots" were 2 soggy hash browns. Regular burger my partner ordered looked like it came from a public school cafeteria.

In the middle of the block. Btw 116th & 117th Street on Madison Avenue.

Let me start my review by saying "This is The healthiest corner store in this neighborhood". As other Yelp'ers have mentioned; they have a wide variety of toppings for salads, they offer fresh pressed juices, smoothies and they also make regular corner store sandwiches. Oh, they also have a small appetizer menu where they offer hummus, falafel etc amongst other little items. Let me not forget to mention that this is one of the most expensive corner stores in the neighborhood! I guess that's because they offer a "healthier choice". So if you're looking to buy something simple such as a bottle water, a soda or just a regular sandwich. I suggest you go to one of the "regular" corner stores in the neighborhood and save yourself some change. Pros: It's a convenience store! Duhh They have a healthier choice! Duhh They stay open pretty late! (We all know how hard it is to get something healthy to eat after midnight... even if it's not organic) Cons: There's alway only 2 ppl in here, but they need 3 (behind the counter). A Cashier, a sandwich maker and a salad maker! that can also make the juices. * Stay clear during rush hour! Also the Cashier can be rude when under pressure. 3 Stars because of the Pros listed above, and also because the store is well kept. It's very CLEAN!!! Thanks for reading!! This is just my opinion. However, I prefer an organic salad with live raw juice. TRUST ME! You can taste the difference in quality. But I don't mind supporting this business when I have No Other Choice.

Great lunch spot with so many options. Subs, salads, smoothies, hot food, chips, coffee--so many options that you can never get bored of!

Read on if you desire genuine knowledge and only dine out with intention. First, and most importantly, shouts to Myles and the team working this day. The salmon in my Jerk Salmon Bowl and my friend's Atlantic Salmon Bowl was flaky, tender, juicy, and perfect. The rices (white with Jerk, black forbidden with Atlantic) confirmed and celebrated what Chef JJ Johnson wrote in his must-have book The History of Rice. This is to say there is no rice like FIELDTRIP rice: soft, sturdy, sweet, savory, herby, attaches to sauce and protein and vegetables when you want it to, remains on its own when you simply want to enjoy it by itself. The plantains and greens that accompany are ridonkulous icing on the salmon sundae. If you aren't a fan of Brussels sprouts, you likely have good reasons. And, you owe it to yourself to order Crispy Brussels. Besides being cooked so they are toothsome, textured, and still sweet, they're quartered or sixthed, which makes them easier to enjoy and perfect carriers for the crispy bits that top them. I love oxtail. To enjoy this rarely served beef element in a perfectly wrapped and fried egg roll added to my adoration. After bite one, I literally unwrapped my half to see how the shredded meat was coexisting. No saucing was necessary, though the Avocado Cilantro and New Jack Sticky BBQ (both of which were enjoyed by me via spoon) would have enhanced the roll most righteously. Lastly, when you dine in or take away from FIELDTRIP, you need Nana's Bread. It is what you might enjoy if a freshly made flour tortilla, naan, pita, and focaccia met, joined, and were put through a presser. I would dip and dredge Nana's Bread in everything. Your next meal needs to come from FIELDTRIP. Period.

Since we were there for brunch, I decided to try the P.S. Breakfast ($22) which is tofu scramble, spinach, portobello mushrooms, and corn muffins. My friend got the P.S. Burger ($20) with a gluten-free bun ($2). For the breakfast, the portobello mushrooms were the highlight of the dish. They were very juicy and had strong umami flavor! I love spinach even plain, but I think it could have used a touch more seasoning. The tofu scramble was seasoned, but it could either use more seasoning or more moisture. The corn muffins were dry and crumbly, definitely the worst part of the dish. My friend said that the sauce brought the burger together and hid the fact that it's a Beyond burger. She also mentioned that she didn't feel heavy after eating the burger, which was nice. Despite us telling the restaurant that we had to go to a musical, service was on the slower side. My friend also had to try several times to get to the bathroom, since someone was always inside. However, the staff was friendly and made us feel welcome. I would only recommend P.S. Kitchen if you have a dietary restriction and want a restaurant that has a relaxed ambiance before your Broadway show.

Five flavor plate - a nice amuse-bouche that went through a series of flavors: Hawthorne jelly for sour, yams for sweet - butter melon jelly for bitter, mushroom.and black pepper for spicy, and radish cracker for salty. The bitter melon was my favorite and definitely wasn't that better - it had pleasant spices almost like a chutney. Next was mushrooms in a light cucumber sauce, followed by a savory and thick 18 vegetable soup. This was a nice back to back contrast of light and simple with rich and hearty. The next three courses were aiming to imitate meat a little more. The first was a grilled mushroom over fragrant green millet. Then, sweet and sour tofu skin, and another grilled mushroom covered in a curry sauce. Of these, the tofu skin was my favorite as the bright course in between the savory ones. Next was rice in a savory broth with peach jelly, and then a nutty noodle dish with a smooth and creamy sauce with a nice blend of spices. These helped round out the meal, and the noodles were especially tasty. To end was a dessert made from berries and sweet potato, almost with the texture of ice cream. Reservation is required and the meal is prepaid except for tip. The whole thing came to about $130 each after tax and tip.
