Always a hit. Solid, consistent, everything on the menu is good, service is always on point, diverse staff. I mostly go for boozy brunch with girlfriends, but also frequently choose it for lunch or dinner with friends visiting from out of town. Cocktails are fantastic. I almost always get anything with grapefruit in it, like the grapefruit martini or their brunch cocktail which i can't remember the name of ever. The lemon ricotta pancakes are an absolute must. And we usually get at least one side of bacon and a side of sausage for the table. And we sometimes share 2-3 desserts. Love love love.

Had a really lovely brunch at Pisticchi with family recently. We had a larger group and a toddler, so it was nice that we could be accommodated on a Saturday afternoon! The ambiance is adorable. Very cozy and warm! The service was prompt and friendly, and the food was absolutely delicious. Everything was portioned generously, and the prices were extremely reasonable! I enjoyed the roasted pumpkin salad with poached eggs added, and everyone loved the ouvo contadine dish. I recommend for a beautiful and filling meal if you're in Morningside Heights or adjacent to Columbia/East Harlem!

We came here for the lemon ricotta pancakes, just to find that they were a bit underwhelming. Not bad just not what I expected. We also ordered the french toast which was phenomenal and made me wish that I had ordered that instead. The service was good.Everyone was friendly in the environment was clean. Though I would not order the lemon raccotta pancakes again.I would come back to try other things.

Friends who just moved into the Morningside neighborhood of Manhattan brought me here today for brunch. Very cute little place in the very bottom of a building. Very friendly service. Can't remember servers name, but she's in the picture. Super sweet. I ordered the spaghetti with vegan meatballs and the spaghetti was perfectly cooked and oh those meatballs were really really good! Other friend ordered same with regular meatballs and his wife ordered the three egg omelette. We had bread with olive oil. We ordered one espresso and two cappuccinos. For desert, we shared the tiramisu. Everything was delicious! I won't be in this part of manhatttan often so I won't be able to enjoy this place much and try their other entrees, but for the first time, excellent and can't wait until I can return to try dinner entrees.

Cozy neighborhood Italian with amazing pasta Pisticci is such a charming spot -- warm atmosphere, friendly staff, and truly excellent food. The pasta dishes are the highlight: perfectly cooked, rich sauces, and generous portions that taste homemade and comforting. We tried one of the classic red-sauce pastas topped with fresh herbs, and it was absolutely packed with flavor -- simple ingredients done really well. The dining room has that intimate, relaxed vibe that's perfect for a casual date night or easy dinner with friends. Service was attentive without being rushed, and the team was happy to help with menu suggestions. If you're looking for authentic, satisfying Italian with a cozy neighborhood feel, Pisticci is a fantastic choice. Definitely worth returning to try more of the menu -- especially brunch next time.

Our server Grace did an outstanding job!

Attended an engagement party on the evening of Oct 25 at Pisticci. I was extremely impressed with all aspects of the dining experience. Large parties are a challenge to any restaurant, and not only did Pisticci have a full Saturday dining clientele, there were TWO parties going on as well that night. That said, the food was still of the fine quality and nice sized portions I've previously experienced over my past 4 years of dining there. The biggest shout out though has to go to our amazing server Grace. She was so friendly, courteous and attentive. From meeting the needs of the youngest member of our party with a prompt meatball sans sauce request, to keeping the various drink and wine orders flowing after dinner, Grace did an outstanding job!

When I think of visiting NYC, I think of great Jewish deli's and neighborhood Italian trattorias. While most of the former are gone - thank goodness for the later - you know the small cozy places that bring you back in time or transport you to a small street in Sienna. Pisticci hits the mark big-time! Quaint, unassuming, welcoming- you feel like you are home. Local art fills the walls ( many of the staff are artists) and the dining space is intimate. The menu, while straightforward, is filled with delicious choices. There are no bad choices here. Daily specials will tempt you for sure. Start anywhere, make sure you get a pasta dish ( cooked perfectly), and whatever you do save room for the coconut cake ( made in house ). It is like none you've ever tasted! Enjoy dear readers - enjoy!

Love this place. Th service here is excellent, there all well educated and super nice. I always see the employees at some point t sitting down to and enjoying a nice meal. There were 7 of us. First time sitting in the back room. This place have 3 bars, a beautiful outdoor decks and 3 separate dining areas. For appetizers we had the mussels, great sauce, but wasn't living the mussels, a insalada mista, insalada pisticci, yummy pancetta, and a Barrata. Also someone had the spaghetti al pomodoro, quite good too. For entrees we had the rigatoni ala vodka, 1 plain, 1 with meatballs, and 1 with sausage, I had the sausage and loved it. We also had the orecchiette with broccoli rave and sausage, the Fettuccine al funghi, my wife's favorite dish , but she substitutes the pasta to a rigatoni. My daughter had the maltaiati with ricotta, spinach and lamb, delicious. All the pastas were fresh and cooked to perfection. I did say our waitress, the actress, was terrific as well. We drank too much so our bill was not inexpensive.

Typically obnoxious Italian restaurant service (waiters coming every 2 minutes to refill your glass, upsell, or clear your table when the place is practically empty). But the food here really is a cut above, and the ambience is pleasant without being pretentious. Pisticci penne was perfectly cooked, al dente without being crunchy, and just the right amount of tomato and oil. Gelatos were delicious - pistachio blandness was more than compensated for by the delicious pieces throughout, and the fig gelato was insanely great.

The vodka pasta was DELICIOUS. It was even a delight to eat my leftovers the following day. The potatoes... I could've done without, they were a little bland, but the pasta was the star of the show anyway. The staff were efficient and friendly, and the overall atmosphere was intimate and warm.

This is a long-standing local business and I had to try it out. I called ahead of time (Friday at about 5PM) to ask if they had any space for a table of 3 outside and that we were on our way-- the prissiness level of the hostess was unmatched. In any case, we got there and all the outdoor seating/tables were empty and available (we were just told we had a two hour time limit). The waitress was great and the menu had good options. The dishes were a bit on the heavy side but, hey, it's an Italian menu. I would recommend perhaps splitting the kale salad as an appetizer amongst the table then having your pasta dishes. Would come back but would likely just eat very light throughout the day prior to coming here.

Food 7/10 Genuinely quite impressed by the lunch pasta menu. Ordered the rigatoni alla vodka, and it was better than I expected. Super creamy and rich. Very large portions, extremely filling, and not so bad at all. A solid Italian spot in the neighborhood, would return to try some other pastas. Pricing is relatively okay for New York, but obviously that's not saying much because it's New York. Atmosphere 7/10 Cute little spot with plenty of seating, more than I expected when observing the outside. Service 7/10 Nice server, good stuff.

The menu has plenty of variety across pastas, seafood, and cocktails, with some unique dishes that made the experience memorable. The drinks were a highlight, and the seafood options stood out the most for me. My Tipsy Tayke: The Fragola Fizz was juicy, fruity, and refreshing. The Forever Summer was another standout, with the smokiness of the mezcal blending really well with the fruit flavors without overpowering them. Both are easy recommendations depending on whether you want something fruity or a little more complex. My Taysty Tayke: Get Down & Dirty, Expeditiously: Seafood Ravioli Unique, flavorful, and packed with different seafood flavors. The ravioli itself was delicate and had a tendency to fall apart, but the flavor made up for it. Standout: Calamari Crispy, seasoned, and enjoyable. It had a slightly chewy texture, but I still found myself going back for more. The Carpaccio wasn't necessarily for me texture-wise, but I really enjoyed the greens and dressing that accompanied it. The garnish felt intentional and helped bring the dish together. The Pappardelle came with plenty of sauce but could have used more flavor overall. The complimentary bread was also tougher and chewier than I prefer. Desserts: The Lemon Sorbet was easily my favorite dessert. Bright, refreshing, and packed with real lemon flavor. The Mango Sorbet was another refreshing option with a smooth tropical sweetness. The Panna Cotta Cheesecake leaned closer to a mousse in texture and was definitely on the sweeter side. I especially enjoyed it with the cherry, which helped balance everything out. Service: Warm and attentive throughout the meal, fitting the inviting atmosphere. Plates From My Visit: Calamari Carpaccio Seafood Ravioli Pappardelle Lemon Sorbet Mango Sorbet Panna Cotta Cheesecake Fragola Fizz Forever Summer In Conclusion: A warm Chelsea Italian spot with strong cocktails, unique seafood dishes, and refreshing desserts. The Seafood Ravioli was the highlight of the savory side, but whatever you do, save room for that Lemon Sorbet. Stamped by Elajas

When we entered the restaurant and took the elevator up to the restaurant, we were delighted to find free wine provided for us to pour in the elevator. Admittedly, it was red wine, so not my favorite, and it did taste cheap, but still appreciated. To start off, we ordered the onion torta, focaccia, and smashed potatoes. The onion torta was surprisingly good and tasted like a form of french onion soup. As a focaccia enthusiast, the focaccia was fluffy and delicious. We also got the charred beans, carrots, ravioli, tagliatelle, ravioli, and trout to share. The charred beans were surprisingly the long beans and not the smaller ones we expected. However, they were very juicy and better than we thought they would be. The rigatoni resembled cacio e pepe with its pepperiness, the tagliatelle tasted like standard red sauce, but i did enjoy the ravioli and the ricotta inside. For dessert, we had the basque cheesecake which was alright, but I'm not the biggest fan of cheesecake. Overall, we had a great time at Ci Siamo and I would definitely recommend ordering the focaccia and onion torta and we could have skipped the carrots, beans, trout, and tagliatelle.

TAGLIATELLE - 27 Out of the four pastas, this was my absolute favorite. I love the thin yet chewy texture of the tagliatelle, and the bolognese sauce was rich and hearty. Finished with just the right amount of Parmigiano, both the pasta texture and sauce were sheer perfection. PICI 'CACIO E PEPE' - 23 This was such a simple pasta, yet so delicious. It was incredibly creamy and cheesy, with hints of fresh black pepper flavor that blew standard at-home black pepper grinders out of the water. Despite it being the simplest pasta of the night, I enjoyed it immensely. RIGATONI - 32 This pasta was simple yet slightly innovative, featuring sausage paired with a broccoli-based pesto. There was a slight bitterness that was polarizing among our group. While this wasn't my favorite pasta, I appreciated the creativity. PERCIATELLI NERO - 35 This dish packed in more components than just pasta and sauce: plenty of crab, tomatoes, and crispy breadcrumbs on top. However, the combination wasn't very memorable. None of the flavors really stood out, and it was my least favorite pasta of the night. OLIVE OIL CAKE - 14 Served with a pile of golden raisins and fancy whipped cream, this ended up being a bit of a miss. The raisins were a bit too sweet, and the cake's texture was uneven -- some bites were soft and moist, while others felt dry. A couple of others in my group also felt the same way. Overall, I'd give L'Artusi a 4.5/5; it was mostly hits with a couple of misses. The pasta portions are quite small. Since each dish is primarily carbs and sauce, I'd imagine you'll likely need an appetizer or a pasta and a half to leave full. Still, I'd definitely come back for the focaccia, tagliatelle, and the cacio e pepe.

I called L'Artusi on Friday, August 21st just to check on a reservation, and the woman who answered…read morethe phone was immediately snotty. Instead of simply confirming it, she made a comment like "you should know if you've been here before," which was unnecessary and pretty rude for such a basic question. It wasn't a busy‑restaurant kind of tone--it was just attitude. Not exactly the first impression you expect from a place that tries to present itself as polished. A quick, polite confirmation would've gone a long way, but instead it felt dismissive and unwelcoming. For a restaurant with their reputation, having someone speak to guests like that over a simple call really doesn't help the image.

Water and excellent bread arrived immediately and the waiter was helpful describing dishes and giving advice. Salads were fresh and crisp. Caesar was nicely dressed and the mixed salad was a nice combination with well balanced herb vinaigrette. Seafood dishes had large amounts of fresh seafood and the veal picatta had the lemony flavor you expect without excessive acidity. Dessert was tasty and innovative. The ricotta based cheese cake wasn't as smooth as the cream cheese form but the citrus flavor was great. Throughout the meal water and bread were refilled, plates from completed courses removed and next delivered without being overly hovering. All in all a really great meal.

The carbonara had a great smokiness from the meat, and the risotto was cooked well as was most of the seafood in it. Both the carbonara and risotto had some inedible parts to it that were disappointing. The pancetta had small pieces of hard cartilage and the risotto had part of a shrimp shell.
