I was on a mission to find gifts for my parents. I knew they both wanted workout outfits and new running shoes, so I went to the closest sports store I could find and here I was! I made the colossal mistake of starting my shopping just a week before Christmas, but it was too late now! I grabbed my purse, walked into the huge store and shouldered my way through the massive crowds!
I went straight to the shoe section, since I knew it would take me forever to pick them out. I'm a little worse than Cher from "Clueless" - "You know how picky I am about my shoes, and they only go on my feet!" - especially when i'm giving them as gifts! The section was packed, so I did a 360 and went to pick out clothes instead.
Each brand of clothing had it's own small section and I went straight to the Nike's. It didn't have a wide variety, but the clothes were organized and weren't scattered around or a mess, like I expected at a store that was this packed! I was able to locate some jackets, matching shirts, sports bra and nice black sweat pants for my mom. My dad was a little harder, there was very, very little in Nike apparel for men. I was able to pick out a few shorts, some sweat pants, and some t-shirts, but couldn't find a jacket, since the stock was limited and they were out of his size., but then, that was my fault for waiting so long!
Having all the clothes picked out, I made my way back to the shoe section and I was not surprised to still see it packed. Oh why did I wait so long to go shopping! After a few hour (Haha, not really a few, more like 1.5 hours) I found the shoes I wanted and this time was really surprised to find an associate come up to me and ask if I needed help! I figured everyone else was hoarding them! He quickly came back with the shoes (and right sizes) that I wanted and I walked to the cash register, ready to pay and leave the store and ... oh damn ... I was staring at a line that was too long to even begin to describe!
The line moved faster than I thought and I was finally at the register 45 minutes later! I paid for my purchases and it turns out that I qualified for the $150 cash gift card, since I had spent over $300! So I will be making a trip back later this month for some new running shoes! read more
