I had the nachos and the sampler and the service was amazing they did their job 10/10 highly recommended

The evening started off fun for our first visit during FDIC with a group of 9 of us. The fun started waning when our server wouldn't check on our drinks or bring water we requested 3 times. Two of our party ordered steaks and they arrived first. They were totally finished eating when the rest of our food arrived. Once our food arrived there were two additional steak orders. One couple ordered nacho and there order never came. Finally after quite some time the server finally returned and was told of the duplicate steak and no nachos. We were all totally finished eating when their nachos finally arrived. While they were eat a different server came trying to bring another order of nachos. The food was pretty good and the silly hats were fun but the fun diminished fairly quickly when the service went downhill pretty quickly after the hats were disbursed among us. It was a fun first experience. Unsure if we would ever return. read more

My team attended an expo at the convention center close by and wanted to try something new for lunch! Dick's is barely a block away from the center and was an interesting choice to say the least! We soon found out that it was the kind of restaurant where staff are a bit rude for funsies, at first it surprises you but you get use to it - they also had an amazing playlist playing! My husband and I went to Dick's Last Resort - Indianapolis after going an Indiana Pacers basketball game. This restaurant's gimmick is that the servers treat you rudely. I enjoyed the rude treatment and the humor that went with it. While the gimmick was fun, the food was just average. I had the Hawaiian pork tacos, while my husband had the 12 inch chili wiener. The tacos had some sweetness to them but they weren't fantastic. The chili on the wiener distracted from the hot dog instead of adding to it. The atmosphere and gimmick were fun but there are better places for food. read more

Fun place to go. I'd drop in for a drink and a few laughs. The food was really average. Prices were $$$ for $ or $$ quality. Waitress did a good job considering she had 3 or 4 tables sat in her section at the same time. Music was too loud. I know the idea is to be annoying. This was our first visit to Dick's. They are known for being somewhat rude and crass to customers but if you don't want the full Monty, you can request and they can do "nice". The menu and decor are a bit suggestive, so you may want to leave the kids or those easily offended at home. Dick's has a great happy hour (M-F) which they call Crappy Hour. We were the only people at the bar. Embere, the bartender, was great, perfectly rude and efficient. I enjoyed a couple Margaritas. The fried pickle apps are wonderful, with a light corn meal breading. They have a full menu serving traditional American fare. Prices are reasonable. If you enjoy sophomoric humor, this is a great option for a few drinks and some good food. read more

When you eat here, you can expect a ridiculous experience where the wait staff insult you and middling food. But the ribs were flavourful, my kid ate well, and I rather liked the green beans. The waitstaff bent over backwards to make my kid feel good about the decision to eat here. It is loud and active but they have a good children's menu and the staff let us play connect 4 while awaiting our food. Yes we got funny paper hats. This place doesn't take itself too seriously and they gave us a discount for wearing our convention badges. I actually liked the music. The kitschy decor worked for what it is. The cashier/host was very nice but it all went downhill from there (laughs)! Of course, I wanted to experience having sarcastic/rude/honest waitstaff, and boy did I get it! I have tried this place out in Vegas and loved the experience but wasn't a fan of the food the first time! 1. The drinks were great, me and my friend both enjoyed the taste as well as size for what you pay. Typical tourist prices for downtown Indy. We only ordered appetizers m, hot wings & fries. The fries were great and crispy cooked to perfection. Now I had a love/hate thing with the wings. They were nice sized and juicy however they had no flavor at all. Only reason I had to give them an ok rating. 2. The experience of course is always fun but I think sitting at the bar does not get as much fun as the dining area. We actually chose the bar since it wasn't that crowded thinking it would be even more fun. Naw. Often times caught ourself looking at entertainment on the other side. Good for tourists that are looking for a nice laugh. Don't recommend if you are sensitive or easily get offended... The wait was long, around 1.5 hours. I recommend putting your name down then walking across the street to the mall for a bit. Many were told the waitlist was "full". Why is there a need to wait to get on the waitlist then wait again to get the actual table? And when Yelp said the table was ready, we still had to wait a while before the restaurant actually had it ready. I hope they coordinate the restaurant and app better so others don't have to waste time. I ordered the BBQ combo. Decent but a bit overpriced. You have to be super open minded when coming to this restaurant. Waitress acts like the name of the restaurant but they are still nice. Food was your average sports bar food. I had a lemon drop shot, that was good and you got to keep the shot glass. For dinner I had a bacon cheese burger, part of the burger did come back a little burnt. Didn't finish it because I don't like the burnt taste on my food. The inside of the restaurant was decorated with little adult sayings, bras hanging for the wall, and people names written on the walls. Fun experience. Probably would have been more fun if there were more people. We went early before a concert. The server was good, and made it fun for us. Food was great, but it's way overpriced. The ribs were great, and the green beans are to die for. Their beer taps were out, so no selections there, just bottles. They were considerate to ask the age of my daughter and family dynamic before we got started. I've always wanted to visit a Dick's location, and glad we did. The grilled chicken sandwich was a joke, I actually thought they were messing with me. The grilled chicken breast was 1/3 the size of the bun and literally was only half the size of my palm. I wanted to try Dick's because every time I pass by they seem to be busy with lots of people. I knew about the "obnoxious" service and yes it was so funny. It was fun to read other people's paper hat too. Our server did a great job giving us rude service and it was fun. Food was disappointing. Definitely had much better meals for this price point. This is a place you go for the fun experience and not the food. I was enjoying it until they turned the lights down and servers got on tables and throwing paper towels and napkins like they were dollar bills. Soooo much of them. It is just so wasteful it is not even funny. I just don't understand why they would waste so much. After that there are so many unused napkins on the floors, just to be thrown away. Our server threw three straws at me. I only needed one, or, I could actually drink without one. I like the concept of this place but I think they can still provide the same fun experience while being more responsible with sustainability in mind. As a person who practices "reduce, reuse, recycle" every day this was just a big disappointment. There are many downtown food businesses who are more eco friendly. They are so behind in this effort. As many mentioned below, this place is not for people easily offended. They really live up to their moniker of being actual "Dicks" to people. Our hats were great and the vibe of the place was unruly, the place looked rundown, and there was a bunch of tacky merch to buy. So overall, it was pretty good. The food was good. You can't walk in here expecting the best food possible. It's bar food. We got the Dicks sampler. It came with chicken wings, mozzarella sticks, fried pickles and chicken tenders with 4 different dipping sauces. All good. Nothing tasted like old oil like some places. The blackened chicken and ribs were also pretty tasty. Overall, it's bar food. Not your fine dining, but it will get it done. Also, get a cocktail and I believe they give you a souvenir cup. Stopped in on our way by after going to the zoo after other area bars weren't open yet for the day. Been to the one in Boston before so already knew what to expect. As usual, it's a "downtown tourist trap" so a little pricier than normal, but nothing outrageous. I went through the steps of making reservations online and calling the restaurant twice two days in a row to make sure we were able to have seating seating available. I checked in when we arrived only for the manager to rudely say they don't take reservations and it would be a 1.5 hour wait and that I should have called ahead. After telling the manager I spoke with an employee, he flipped the page over and saw my name They had my "call ahead" noted for a party of 12 for a birthday which put me at the top of the wait list. We waited for 30 minutes then were seated at 2 different tables. I asked if they could be put together. I was rudely told no. I thought the manager and waitress were in performance mode. We started moving the tables together. It wasn't like 2 other parties didn't have their tables together. We went around and around until my party just left. I just want to thank your company for ruining the surprise birthday party. The birthday person ate Steak & Shake because it was too last minute to get into another restaurant at the last minute.
