Thank you Yelp for informing me this location! I had seen this spot on my yelp as one of the places nearby to eat. Yesterday, after leaving school, I was starving and decided to give this spot a shot. And I am glad that I did. Walking in, I noticed this place was smaller than what I imagined, so only a few people can dine in. I was immediately greeted and asked if it was my first time there. I said yes, so the server helped me out in choosing what I wanted. I ordered a chicken bowl, with brown rice, black beans, lettuce, tomato, cheese, with onions and a bunch of other stuff. He asked me if I wanted sauce with it, and I was unsure, so he gave me a tortilla chip with some sauce, and it was very tasty. So I said yes. The manager (I'm guessing he was the manager), asked me from where I had heard of them, and I said through yelp. He also told me that they had been open for a month. So this place is brand new. He was very nice, just like everyone else working there. I waited maybe 5-7 minutes for them to make my food. I had ordered the food to go, so they placed my food in a brown bag with their menu (I'm glad they gave me a menu, now I can tell my boyfriend about it). I enjoyed my food at home, and it was quite interesting. The bowl itself was loaded with food, and the sauce was placed over the food. I had 2 different kind of sauces on my meal, I have no idea what they were, but they were delicious .Everything was so tasty. The only thing that I wish I had, was the brown rice that I originaly ordered, I was given white rice instead. Even though it wasn't what I ordered, the food itself was very good and fresh. The portion is also big, and enough to get anyone full. I am glad that I have this restaurant near my home, especially since their isn't anything like this in the area. Whoa! After coming here for lunch and thinking Diced was good but not necessarily fantastic or extraordinary, I logged on to Yelp to review it, only to find that this restaurant has an overall rating of 4.5 stars!?!? In reading the more spirited reviews, it appears people are thrilled that this area of South Miami finally has a healthier restaurant option, or that this general area finally has a decent non-Latin food option, etc. but those raves and high marks would be given to ANY restaurant filling that void. Diced just happened to be the first (local chain) restaurant to do it. For me, Diced is similar to a handful of other "fast casual" eateries that offer wraps or salads...Moe's, Lime, Chipotle, etc. You look at the menu and pick a protein, tell them if you want a wrap, bowl or salad, choose a style of rice, beans, cheese, and one or more vegetables and sauces that you can have drizzled onto your food or served on the side. IMO Diced isn't cheap, especially for lunch. A wrap, bowl or salad made with beef, for instance, is nearly $9.50 before tax. That doesn't include any sides or a drink (at Moe's or Lime, you get complimentary chips and the salsa bar with the purchase of a wrap/burrito) and Diced charges extra for some of the sauces, veggies and rice that you can have on your food. My steak wrap was good, but not memorable enough that I'd rush back here to have another. Perhaps if I lived in this area and it was indeed the only decent restaurant option, as many of the reviewers who've rated it highly have commented, that may be different. When you arrive here, you go to the front register and order, and your food is handed to you at that same counter once it's prepared by the team working in the adjacent food prep area. There's stool seating at the front counter and along a rail that faces the front windows, and you'll find high tops and tables for two, but if you come here as a group, there's only 1 table that seats more than 2 people and it's outside. read more

My friend and I came out of the gym STARVING and we needed something healthy asap. Diced closes at 10pm and we called around 10:10pm. Although they were closing , they took our order and had it ready in 20 mins. WOW I was really impressed they did that for us . My stomach definitely thanks you ! The food is delicious and light ! The prices are very reasonable, the location has parking and their AC was busted when I got there so can't judge about eating there. I've been coming to this place ever since they started and they are consistently great! You have the option of having a wrap, bowl or salad with the main sources of protein being chicken, steak or tuna. You can also add rice, beans, veggies, cheese, avocado etc. They add any combination of 3 different sauces (add all 3 together, trust me) which are outrageously good! Food is fresh, tasty and healthy. Service is amenable and the guys are always welcoming and attentive. This area isn't known for healthy options as others have pointed out so having this place nearby is great! They also deliver. I heard they are opening a new location in Coral Gables. I absolutely love love love the rice bowls. The ingredients are always fresh. The brown rice is always cooked to perfection. It's hard to find a place that cooks brown rice just right. Service - When I first walked in someone greeted me and explained the menu to me after I told them that it was my first time there. Once I placed my order they told me that my food would take 10 mins because the quinoa would take that long to cook and promptly gave me free chips and pico. Diced seems to be one of the few healthy alternatives in the area. Since my office is somewhat nearby I make the trip to Diced at least once a week and thankfully I always tend to make it right before the lunch rush. I was really impressed with the concept and the choices they have. I always opt for the brown rice chicken bowl with red beans. The only complain I have from that dish is that the beans are usually missing some flavor but everything else is great. The staff is very helpful and courteous with a smile every time I've gone. The place is small and it has limited seating. There are some seats outside but with Florida's unpredictable weather that can only sometimes be an option. I work in the area and besides three chefs (love that place) and cafe 1909 (which isn't the same since they relocated) there's not many healthy options for lunch. The employees are very friendly and accommodating calling you by your first name and making sure your satisfied with everything u ordered which I absolutely loved. The manager (well I think he was lol) was super nice and made sure I loved everything. He told me they only have been opened for 6 weeks. Now the food....one word DELICIOUS!! I called back and Natasha kindly apologized and told me that next time I go, they would give me avocado free of charge. I strongly believe in having the appropriate people represent your company. I've gone to "healthy" restaurants/juice bars and the people behind the counter are overweight. It's like going to a hair stylist with a horrible hair-do! Being my first time here I noticed how great the decor of this place is right off the bat. Very clean and modern with a great outdoor patio area.
