I absolutely love this little Mexican restaurant in Windsor. My mom and I come here often, and it never disappoints. The restaurant is small, cozy, and has such a welcoming atmosphere. The food always comes out incredibly fast, and the staff is consistently kind and friendly. I usually order a burrito, but today I tried the shrimp in cream sauce, and it was delicious. My mom always gets the chilaquiles, and the eggs always look amazing. If you're ever in Windsor, this is definitely a place worth stopping by--you really can't miss it! read more

Diana's Restaurant turned out to be a fun find for us. My friend and I were on the lookout for fresh Tamales, and after asking around, we ended up here. Despite how busy the place was, the service was quick and friendly. The lively, festive atmosphere made the experience even more enjoyable. We ordered takeaway from Diana's over the weekend and the food was great! The shrimp tacos had a lot of shrimp in them and came with a yummy sauce. The nachos were piled high with goodies. We stopped by for a snack before a winery tour tasting. The restaurant provides a bean dip and salsa, both of which were quite tasty. We had the super nachos with barbacoa beef. The platter was substantial and both of us were full. The beef was piled on top and the bean dip was at the bottom to provide a good mix. read more

This was my first time coming here for a burrito, and it instantly became my favorite Mexican food spot in town! I've been coming back regularly ever since. One time I brought a friend and we each ordered a burrito. I usually save half to take home, but unfortunately, I found a hair in the rice and beans that time. I specifically asked the guy if the bacon would be crispy--he assured me it would be, but when I finally got my order 20 minutes later, the bacon was completely soggy and barely cooked. I've been ordering take out from this restaurant for a while now! I always order the same thing; the pozole. Every time I order it, it's DELICIOUS. There's so much flavor and the portion is pretty size able. The toppings they include are always fresh! As well as the chips and salsa they include. So so good. Highly recommend. Super bummed! Our typical taco shop was closed so we decided to order here. It had been a long time since I've eaten here but I remember it being good. Unfortunately, the meat was super fatty and the steak was almost kinda grany. It was just low quality. I had also asked for refried beans instead of whole only burrito and the staff didn't accommodate my ask. The food was not great and we spent $30 on two regular burritos. Stumbled on this tiny little neighborhood Mexican restaurant in Windsor, kind of on the outskirts. A fantastic find! Small hole in the wall surprise! I had 2 fish tacos and to shrimp tacos, they both had a delicious graded Mexican cheese on top, big chunks of avocado,ripe tomatoes and lettuce' very fresh tasting. Kind of a hole in the wall. Down the street from our hotel. It was very quaint inside, spacious with plenty of seating. We were the first for lunch. I had tacos and he had enchiladas. Mine were overflowing with meat. Delicious. I would order them again. The enchiladas was good, but very different then expected. The chicken was on the outside. A nice butterflied piece of grilled chicken. Inside the enchiladas was not the stringy melted cheese you'd expected. It was Cotija. A white crumbly Mexican cheese. A different style then we expected. Next time we are in the area I look forward to returning. You should try this place too next time you are in the area. read more

Wow, this place is awesome. So far I've not had a bad meal here. I'm very much a creature of habit, cheese enchilada, and a crispy taco chicken. The enchilada sauce has flavor! The taco did not disappoint! On another night I came here and missed out on menudo for the day. I got Birria in its place. Talk about a flavor overload! All I can say is WOW! Wow wow wow! This place is delicious! First off, the owner is super sweet. Very friendly and greets you instantly (even when crazy busy). I've been here twice and I couldn't be happier with the food I received. The first time I got a sopa de res (beef soup). It was delicious and resembled the soup my mom used to make for me as a kid. There was plenty of meat to vegetables ratio, the broth was flavorful, and the tortillas were fresh. The second time I got a regular burrito. For the price you pay, you receive a massive burrito! I actually thought it was the super burrito at first but nope, just the regular burrito. The asada was not chewy. It melted in my mouth. It was so tasty! The beans and rice in the burrito were well seasoned as well. I actually didn't even use the salsa that came with the chips. That's how good the burrito was on its own. ...but don't fret! Surprisingly really good food! We always pass by without a second thought but haven't been too satisfied with any of the Mexican restaurants in Windsor. We sat outside and it was well shaded and the traffic wasn't too bad so no complaints on that but I do have one single complaint the chips were stale but the salsa was bomb! I had the shrimp cocktail and it was delicious! The shrimps were more like prawns size they are med but on the larger side of med. perfectly cooked not too much and not under. It was a refreshing meal that is one of my favorites and I haven't found one in Windsor that I'd crave but this one will bring me back. Yelp Review of Diana's Restaurant We have eaten at Diana's for years and it is our favorite local Mexican Restaurant. It is family owned by a Mom and her four sons. Many cousins also work in the restaurant. Diana's always satisfies when the urge for Mexican food strikes. Recently, we hosted a dinner there for a large group of 12 couples. Everyone enjoyed their meals and had a good time at Diana's, for some this was a new and enjoyable dining experience. Our server did a great job serving all 24 of us, no mean feat. The Chile Relleno , hand made tortillas and refried beans are the best in the area. The Burritos and Carnitas are a close second. For those who enjoy spicy food, the Camarones a la Diabla fill the bill. Many of our group said that they would return soon. read more

My wife and I are vegan. We ordered a Beans, Rice, Pico, and French fries burrito. I was told they can't make a burrito like that in the system and I would have to pay for a $15 California burrito and remove all the meat and cheese and sour cream. Stupid, because the cost is associated with all those items, but okay whatever. The burrito was tiny, smaller than chipotle, and had no Pico on it. It's literally beans, rice, and fries. For $15. Two stars because the ingredients, and the red and green sauce were really good. Otherwise one star for getting my order wrong and charging so much for a pretty basic item. read more

I recently moved to Windsor and had heard about Diana's, went there today for lunch with a friend, it is SO good! Best Mexican food I've had since being in Mexico! Authentic, super nice staff, amazing food, they do mole right, one of the best chile rellenos I've ever eaten (fresh and very tasty chile), dynamite fish taco too! Awful - do not bother, much better food, service, and ambiance elsewhere (including two places across the street). They charge for everything regardless of what menu says. Dined as a family of four tonight, we were charged $4 for chips for the table which they brought with no disclosure of a charge each time. One person ordered a dinner entree in which the menu says is served "with rice, beans, and tortillas on the side." Once we paid our bill we discovered they charged us $1.00 per flour tortilla, without apology or correction. It's dishonest and further inflated by higher than average menu prices with nothing even remarkable about the food. Service: let's just say we had to get up from our table in search for a server every time we needed something for silverware, food items/condiments, and even to pay the bill because they were never around. read more
