I eagerly anticipated my visit to this restaurant. It is close to my cousin's place in WIndsor, and it had the look of a really good Mexican Restaurant. I found it kind of disappointing. The food was okay, but it was extremely expensive in that "Wealthy WINDSOR" kind of way. But neither of us are wealthy. And our visit was really kind of excruciating because the service was sooooooooooo slow! We filled up on chips and dip whilst waiting for over an hour. They had a couple of food delivery services picking up orders from the business: as a consequence, the service was not as attentive as I would have liked, and it took well over an HOUR to finally get our dinner! I think a food delivery service is great - if your business can handle it. But if it's causing the diners that are in your place to wait excessively long for dinner and service, then it's not with it. I do not recommend going in here to eat unless you have a lot of spare time. Maybe send out for it, or better yet, find another place to go! They do have some nice homemade plates and ceramic things hanging on the walls for reasonable prices, so that's one reason to make the trip, if you're a collector. But I would say let's collect a better experience and go somewhere else. read more

This is one of my favorite places to go to! The food is great, and you always feel satisfied. You can go here for any meal, breakfast, lunch and dinner and you will always leave happy and full. If you want good tacos, and authentic Mexican food this is the place to go. I also really like their salsas, we sometimes purchase some of each to take home. The Taco Loco is the best taco I've ever had. Too large to handle so eat some with a fork or order a couple extra tortillas. Truly amazing!

Being disabled I ordered off DoorDash special taco Tuesday discount. I went for 2 shrimp tacos. The shrimp were bigger than average. Rice moist, great beans. With 2 slices of Avocados. The only problem was the delivery guy tossed it around a bit. Not cool for soft tacos. Diana is not in my community and I paid a bit extra for extended range. But given the discount well worth it. One of my all-time favorite Mexican restaurants and easily my favorite in the Windsor area! Their al pastor is incredible. It's very hard to not order the al pastor burrito every time I visit, but I have mixed it up in the past and have never been disappointed. My wife is a big fan of their taco salads too. I ordered 2 tacos to go and then drove to pick it up. When I got there my order was not ready and I told the lady I had decided to eat in the restaurant instead. I paid for my order which was about $12 for two tacos and a Pepsi and sat down to wait for it. She brought the to go carton with my food and I told here, I think I am going to eat here and asked if I could have a plate. She said "oh no, no", you ordered to go, you get no plate. So I just sat there very awkwardly, and I could tell she was pissed like I was trying to free load in their restaurant. Instead of being gracious and not worrying about dirtying a plate, she acted like I was homeless or something. There's a fair amount of really good Mexican food in town, but this is hands down best taco spot in Windsor. The food takes a little longer here than other places, cause get this, they cook to order. None of that warming tray BS, and pre-cooked meat. None of that prepackage tortilla BS either, they got the real deal made-in-house tortillas. ***Folks who down rated them for longer serving times are going here for the wrong reasons. Diana's is about serving that hot fresh cooked to order goodness, so if you want fast food theres a taco bell up the street and around the corner. The food is on point, and excellent. This is authentic Mexican food in a cute hole-in-the-wall place in Windsor. It's conveniently located on Old Redwood Highway. The food is fresh and delicious. The margaritas are fantastic. The chips are served with a yummy bean dip! The tortillas are homemade or a convincing facsimile. Prices are very reasonable, too! Oh and the service is fast, friendly and efficient. This place sucked. We called in an order for our group of about 8, and we arrived 45mins later as they said for pickup. It wasn't ready yet. Alright, no problem, we could wait a little and meanwhile pay for it all. As the employee rings up our order on the register, it comes out to be WAY more than we anticipated, like $20 more. So we asked for him to itemize it for us so we knew how much it all costed. Turns out, the menus we found online were outdated, and the menus they had there were incorrect... Alright, whatever, it's a small family-owned business that seems like they're still trying to pull it together. Sure, we'll shell out the $96 to support and hopefully the food will be good. But the issues continue to arise. As we waited an additional 20 minutes for our order (it's now over an hour since we initially called in), 2 other pairs of customers who had ordered before us brought back food that was incorrect or didn't have what they requested. Seriously?? Starting to see a trend here in the relatively short amount of time we've been there. Finally! Our food is ready! We bring it back to the car and check to make sure we have everything. Lo and behold, they forgot our fish and shrimp tacos. We wait more... We get the tacos. Tiniest and most pathetic freakin' tacos I've ever seen! And they weren't charging small street taco prices either! And they were reportedly bland! Ugh.. The plain small bean and cheese burrito we ordered for the kids was also overpriced and crappy. All the regular burritos we ordered were decent, but by this point my taste buds may have been bitterized by the whole experience. We tried to like Diana's... Although this restaurant has been in business for many years, it was our first time eating there a few days ago. While the building itself is older and not air conditioned it was clean, had fans running and festively decorated. Signs warn you that this is not fast food, and that everything is made to order. That was completely true but completely worth the wait. While you wait, tortilla chips with sides of refried beans and a great spicy salsa for dipping was very tasty. One of the things that drew us here was the fact that they prepare everything on site and served hard shell tacos which we've had trouble finding anywhere else. They were full of flavor, although a little wide at the bottom for delicate bites. My husband had the taco Loco with Carnitas, again, hard to find good Carnitas and this was the best we've had in ages. Crunchy & juicy as it should be! The hard taco was chorizo, which can be quite different anywhere you go. Again, this totally satisfied with the level of heat and juicy tenderness. I had a hard shell taco with Al Pastor and a Chile Rellano with rice and beans. Every item we had was full of flavor, well-balanced and not too spicy. The service was quite good also. A win-win all around. We will certainly be back and encourage others to try it. read more

Best breakfast burritos in town!! We order Sunrise burritos for pick up every Sunday before the rush and eat it with their green salsa, mmm so good. I have not tried to sit down there for any other meal, we just love their burritos. It has eggs, bacon, sausage, potatos, and cheese. hey come in a pretty decent size, enough to share for me. The one problem we have is they aren't very efficient at answering their phones for to-go orders. We call multiple times (when we know they are open) and usually end up having to go there to order. Sometimes they are closed even though they say they're open which puts a damper in my day. But still can't get over their breakfast burritos. Definitely a must try if you haven't already. read more

I personally love when the owners are at their restaurant, it shows they care about the customer far more then any restaurant who's owner is never around. Delicious beans. White beans that were thin rather than thick and topped with cheese. The Hubster and I devoured those bad boys, which were served with fresh tortilla chips and salsa. Delicious homemade corn tortillas. Flavorful and worthy of eating just with a dab of butter for breakfast. They sell them so I plant to go buy some just for that purpose. The Hubster ordered a giant grilled chicken burrito and a steak taco. He said they were good, neither the best nor worst he's had. I had a pair of tacos camarones. They were presented with sliced tomato, avocado and shredded lettuce. Each taco had 3 decent sized shrimps. They were good! The service is good, friendly and attentive. It took a while from the time we ordered until our food arrived. The Hub's burrito was delivered several minutes before my plate.
