Better to go to one of the many other great Mexican restaurants in Windsor. While checking their online menu, I noticed that only some of the burritos had prices listed while others did not. I called to ask why that was. The girl on the phone said it was because different meats cost different prices. She said that chicken and pork cost less than beef. I asked her what a pork "Macho Padre" Burrito costs since it was one of those that did not have a price listed. She said it was $14.99. I was very clear that this was the "big one that feeds two, right?" She agreed and said that it definitely was. Knowing this was a fairly large burrito, I double checked with her, and she was certain. Once I showed up, a guy proceeded to ring me up. He asked me if I was paying with cash or card. I asked him if there was a price difference, and he said yes. It was less expensive if I paid with cash. I chose to pay with cash and it still came up to $26. I can only imagine what it would have cost if I wanted to pay with a credit card, close to $30? I told him that the girl on the phone said it was $14.99 plus tax. His response was that was the price without meat. I explained to him that we never talked about a vegetarian burrito at all. He tried to avoid the point by reminding me that this burrito had pork in it. I responded by telling him once again that the price quote for $14.99 was with pork. He even said that he heard the conversation to be otherwise, to which I reminded him that I was actually on the other end of the conversation and that I had a better understanding of what we talked about. He argued saying that he wasn't lowering the price at all, and that it was going to be $26. I told him I wasn't going to pay that and he seemed to be OK with that as I walked out without the dinner I drove down there to pick up. Not only are they liars, but any place too embarrassed to post their actual prices for their more expensive burritos on their online menu is disreputable at best. I've never heard of a business practice like this, and hopefully I'll never see it again. Once I got home, I decided to call back, hoping to speak to the girl that gave me the false information on the phone. She did answer, but then immediately put me on hold. After holding for some time, it was obvious I was being blown off, so I hung up. I called right back and this time they let it go to voicemail. Clearly, she remembered my number and knew who I was, but was too cowardly to face what she did. There's too many respectful restaurants in the area that wouldn't do something so sleazy and unprofessional as this. Go someplace else. read more

Friendly service, 1 chicken Enchilada, 3 tacos. Chicken, carne, and carnitas. All very good. Yummy salsa! Everyone was getting the horchata, so that will be a must next time. No tequila for cocktails, just agave wine if you're interested. read more

Very good food and very good service. We stopped in after a hair cut across the way and had a chimichanga and a carnitas burrito. Carnitas was really good. We got a horchata that came out salty for some reason but they quickly corrected it. read more

I could kick myself for not taking a picture of my beautiful dinner but the food here is so good, I got super excited and by the time I remembered to take a picture, it wasn't very photogenic anymore. This is the best Mexican restaurant in windsor. I love it! Super friendly staff and they have a SALSA BAR!!! I love salsa and theirs is fantastic! They have pico, red salsa, avocado tomatillo salsa and my favorite, that creamy looking orange salsa. It looks innocent but it will kill you if you eat enough, if not today then TOMORROW! HAHA, its so good. Last night my hubs and I walked to the raleys shopping center to grab a bite, he won't eat anything that isn't chicken or hotdogs...so I suggested he grab something and I'll get my salsa fix at Mi Taqueria and we can eat outside. They have an outdoor seating area and I explained my husband issue and no problem sitting outside. The lady that helped me was great! Even though I was eating outside and with my husband with food from elsewhere, she served me chips and my drink, brought my dinner. She was SO NICE!!! I didn't get her name but I'll be sure to thank her when I go back again. Really comfortable outdoor and indoor seating. I'll get pictures when I can control myself better! Highly recommend everything here. I've had all of it but my go to is the super burrito. Their fajitas are the best around, so much meat and fillings. No matter what I get here, I need a doggie bag. I always love getting food from here. Everyone is so nice and always helpful. I called earlier before putting in a delivery order about making a special request, they told me no problem. When I put the order in, they called me about a different request I made and were so sweet about it. I'll always get food from here. And their spicy orange salsa is killer. read more

Honesty I don't know why this place has bad reviews. It gets the job done. I charge my car at the Tesla station and sometimes I'm hungry and I don't want to go to sweet ts. This place is great. You can order Ala cart. They have a bunch of Mexican sodas, agua frescos, beer, and "margaritas" (I don't think they have a liquor license but they make it work) I'm never disappointed when I leave. THE FOOD IS SOOOOOO GOOD. Okay let me calm down a second... I order camarones a la diabla every place I go. This is the absolute best. I will be coming back often. Now, the staff is clean, nice, attentive, and efficient. The place looks and smells great. I can't understand how it's not packed to the brim but maybe I'm in between lunch and dinner rush. I had the enchilada trio. Two chicken and one cheese. They tasted great. Chips and salsa also very tasty. Service was good. Chips kept full. This would have been a five-star review were it not for the 3% credit card fee that appeared on the bill. Just coming out of the COVID-19 pandemic, a situation where no restaurant would accept cash, only credit cards, it's petty to charge 3%. That turned out to be 54 cents. read more

Hands down the best Camarones a la Diabla in the county, I have tried them at about 25 Mexican Restaurants between Healdsburg and Petaluma and they have the best by far. Perfect, super spicy and no damn tails! The staff is always great! read more

I asked the waitress between two dishes, which was her favorite? She answered as if she were doing me a favor by answering! Horrible! I'm waiting for my food, depending on how it is, they may earn another star. The service, though, it makes the food better or worse. Ok, the food is pretty good! One thing I love - in the winter their facility is nice and warm. Love the photos of Hispanic actors including Freida Kahlo. (sp) Food is good and they have beer and margaritas. Never seems too crowded and you can get pico de gallo or salsa. Just ask. Nice place to eat for a casual meal. read more

I am sad to report that we will not be back. My family and I are severely unimpressed with their food and service. Last time we got takeout, I paid $13 for a chicken burrito that was just not good. Called in a lunch order and there was some confusion on which "macho" burrito was ordered and ended up with the $27 Gordo Macho. I was able to eat about 1/4 of it and the family and I are eating the rest for dinner tonight. I would probably get the sauce on the side in the future so reheating would be easier. While $27 for my lunch is way out of my budget, $27 isn't so bad for lunch and a large dinner. Especially As it was delicious. I got the chorizo with spinach tortilla. Everything in it was great and well balanced. Not too much of any one thing and I'm not normally very into rice this rice was kinda popping. I didn't see the inside as a co worker did the driving and picking up. But it was only 10 minutes for everyone's separate orders. I ordered a super burrito with shrimp. It was tasty but could have used more shrimp for $16. Maybe it's due to the high inflation of food staples lately. It was fairly large so I ate half and saved the other half for the next day. Both the salsa roja and salsa verde were very good. read more

We ordered a huge order to-go for a large group and most people were pretty satisfied. The burritos and portions generally were enormous so that is great. However some of the items were mediocre. I got the Moljarra (fried tilapia) smothered in sauce. The fish was over fried and hard (I've had it before, I know how it's supposed to be cooked). The tamal was dry and flavorless. My wife also found a piece of meat in her vegetarian burrito which was gross for someone who's never eaten meat before. read more

2 stars...Means could have been better alright. Chips and salsa to the table, they were good. Flavorless carne asada tacos, very small for $5 each. This should have been a no brainer for a Mexican restaurant, lacked what other restaurants do right. A flavorless Chile Relleno with very firm cheese, sauce was bland along with a very bland fish taco, no seasoning, just fish and lettuce. Refilled my Pepsi with no ice... what's going on with that? Dirty windows, gum stuck to the floor...oh well. Can't say the service from the tall man was friendly either. 1st time eating here, and the last Worst Mexican food I think I've ever had. Not sure I would even consider it Mexican food considering it was so bland and lacked flavor. Refried beans were grey not brown, not even light brown... GREY!! GRAY!!! How ever you wanna call it. Not brown... it's obvious they cut the beans with lard. They taste so nasty we all tasted it and over 6 ppl agreed it was foul. Not one person said it was good, acceptable or would try another bite. See pictures. California super burrito with steak was HUGE ... but who cares how big it is... if it's not any good ... 90% was dry and bland, the flavorless rice and lard beans masked any flavor from the steak... no lettuce... every once in awhile you would discover a rogue tomato like panning for gold... absolutely no sour cream or guacamole during the first 90% ... finally found the sour cream and guacamole in the last 10% ... barely ... with half a tablespoon of each... regarding the "California" part of the burrito... it looks like someone made a super burrito then realized it was supposed to be a California so the reopened the flap and shoved 7-8 French fries in the flap and called it a day. See pictures. We ordered 4 dinners and a side and ended up with only 1 bag of chips, only 3 salsas, 1 Pico de Gallo. Chips were over cooked with too much oil. Overly dry dirty oil tasting. Mi Pueblo restaurant in Windsor is one of the best authentic Mexican restaurants in Windsor, My favorite day to go is Taco Tuesday. The staff is very welcoming and treats all customers new and frequent flyers alike. It also has a Bar with a fair amount of drinks to choose from although I choose the Orchata. For food I've had their Tacos of course, Chicken and al pastor, The meat is full of flavor. I've also had their Super Shredded Chicken Burrito with enchilada sauce on top and their shrimp cocktail to name a few, I love to go to this place because the food is supe delicious yet inexpensive, the chips could have better flavor but I'm not going to complain about that. Overall this is a good place to bring the family for dinner or lunch, fast yet friendly service and conveniently located next Raleys and post office. read more

I have been here many times now. The albondigas is delicious and we have enjoyed most of the food we have ordered here. They have good IPA beers as well as Mexican beers. Recently they started charging 3.5% for using a credit card??? and the burritos don't have as much meat in them. I had a carnitas burrito today that had twice as much beans as there was meat (same as last week). Time to figure out how to make my own burritos at home. $13 and it's just the regular burrito. Super is more now. You can get lunch with an appetizer entre and side at the Chinese restaurant next door for $10. read more

If I could rate this review a zero stars I would. I ordered a super burrito with no rice at 3 pm to be ready at 5 pm. I got there at 5pm and the lady at the front said I didn't order that and said I ordered a macho burrito which is the biggest one. I knew they were wrong about this but then she asked again to see what I wanted and I said a super burrito with no rice. The lady at the front also put chips from another order back into the warmer. 10 minutes after 5pm I got a super burrito with rice and a hair in my food! I walked into this restaurant and made my way to the register. I waited my turn. The counter person said, "Take out, deliver or dine in?" I replied, "Dine in." She told me to sit anywhere. There probably should have been a sign saying please be seated. Oh it doesn't matter. They serve good tacos. Today was Taco Tuesday , in honor of this day I had four carne asada tacos. The chips were a plenty and the salsa was good. It seemed to be out of a can but it had tiny good things in it. I had a Pineapple Jarritos. The tacos came and were exactly what I thought they would be. The meat was a little dry but they were edible. 17 dollars for four street tacos and a drink was the damage. Would I go here again?
