Poorly done "professional" nails done at Diamond Nails at Diamond Nails in the Diamond Mall.
    Anne H.

Disappointing Experience - Poor Quality and Dishonest Service I paid $150 for a full set of professional acrylic nails, and within just a few days they started lifting and falling off. I finally had my first day off and came in to have them fixed, only to be told they wouldn't do them. The man at the front desk suddenly acted like he barely spoke English--even though on my last visit, he spoke fluently and even translated for other staff. When I explained the situation to the nail tech, she spoke to him, and he claimed that they only offer fixes within 7 days. No one pays that much for nails that last a week--you'd be better off using drugstore press-ons, like I usually do. It seems like they rely on young, inexperienced workers to apply "professional" acrylics, and the quality just doesn't match the price. Very disappointed.

This are like a week after my pedicure in the Mediterranean sea.

First of all I go here every time I'm in Anchorage for manicure/pedicure (from rural Alaska). I got my nails done before a trip to Europe TWO months ago and my pedicure is still looking presentable and neat. It obviously grew out but I clipped my nails gently and not one nail has chipped or anything. I wear open toed shoes a lot and nobody can tell they're grown out without me saying something. I was just thinking about how long it's been and was super impressed. Before and Current pics. Thanks!

Would give zero stars if I could. Absolutely despicable business. Injures people and still refuses to make it right. Some of the WORST nails I have ever seen. The black set I posted: they charged $140 for those, that's absolutely psychotic. Even an award winning salon doesn't charge that much. Then add in the fact that they look like a blind toddler did them and yea, delusional rip off.

Dip nail manicure was good, hence the two stars. Pedi was so bad I wanted to cry, and I'm not one to cry over a lightly botched procedure. Very glad I wasn't a total people pleaser and go with the gel on my toes like he was pressuring, because at least now I can easily remove this slapdash job and clean it up myself. Then to top it all off they overcharged by $10. I was there for two hours. Save your money, go somewhere else.

Considering their price I expected exceptional work from them. . . I treated my cousin to a full set on July 12 this year. She had used this salon before and she said that they did a good job, so we went. I almost swallowed my tongue when I saw the prices and found out that this was the going rate for salons there in Alaska. So my cousin sat and the girl started doing her nails. I don't like inhaling the fumes if I wasn't getting my nails done, so I went window shopping around the shops in the mall. 30 minutes or so later I got a call from my cuz that she was done. When I saw my cousin's nails I wasn't impressed. They looked too fake. Whose fingernail beds are normally rosy pink, really? The shape was too square, it made my cousin's hands look a lot less dainty. What's the point of me paying an arm and a leg if you'll butcher how her hands would look like? I'm glad I didn't entrust my hands nor my piggies to this nail shop. I'll save them for LA nail shops thank you very much.

First time going here and I was so impressed by their attention to detail!!

This was a great experience, with a fair price and beautiful nails!!!! Thank you all so much for the service!!

From the moment I sat down, I knew this wasn't going to be your typical nail appointment. Leila is so friendly, easy to talk to, and clearly loves what she does. What really stood out to me was how much she cares about the health of your natural nails. Mine were damaged from thick dip powder done elsewhere, and she immediately noticed and took the time to gently work with them while explaining how we could get them back in shape. Not only did I leave with beautiful, clean, natural-looking nails, but I also felt like I had just caught up with a friend. If you're looking for someone talented, kind, and genuinely invested in their clients -- Leila is your girl. Highly recommend!

This girl is talented!! I've always struggled with having builder gel/hard gel last, it always used to lift at the cuticle. Leila is so meticulous that I don't have they problem anymore. She is thorough in there ability to perfectly clean up the cuticle and prep the nail for polish. My manicured last for 5 to 6 weeks now, something I never would thought possible. Leila is incredibly talented, she can do pretty much any design that one would desire and she's always coming up with new techniques to make your nails stand out. Leila is located inside of Lola's Salon, there is usually parking but sometimes another business in the strip mall seems to have an event going which clogs parking up. Leila maintains a clean and comfortable space with a soothing ambiance. She is polite and always on time. She always is just a genuinely nice person, you can tell that she loves her craft and she cares about her clients being happy. Leila also offers a loyalty punch card which is so cool. She is working towards becoming an educator for one of the polish brands, which I don't know anyone else that is going that route so I am impressed. I highly recommend Leila!

As someone who's newer to Anchorage, I initially tried a salon closer to home--but after long wait times and even a nail fungus, I knew I had to find somewhere better. A family friend recommended this place, and I've been a loyal customer ever since. Lucy usually does my nails and she's amazing--super sweet and always excited to try bold, fun colors with me. Everyone I've interacted with, whether for nails or pedicures, has treated me with kindness and respect. The atmosphere is welcoming, the service is professional, and I always leave feeling pampered and happy. I'll definitely keep coming back!!

I showed my tech a picture of what I wanted, she asked if I wanted dip or if it needed to be acrylic and told her that I didn't care how this design was done but I wanted it to look just like the inspo pic that was posted here. She said that's fine I can totally do that. She did the service and even corrected the nail that I saw was crooked so that it wouldn't be when she dipped it. She also cut off the acrylic a little long and I told her I wanted them shorter like the picture and she said she just was leaving room for filing. She was a great communicator. When she did the top coat she added a glitter top coat which was not pictured and I thought, "it's not the end of the world I'll just take it". Well we got to the check out and I looked at my nails and they are not what was pictured. I was pretty frustrated but left to go pick up my car for an oil change. I sent these pictures to my sister to see if I was being too high maintenance and she agreed that this was not done well even to the standards of the other pictures posted on the reviews. So I called the store and asked to speak to the manager (against every bone in my body) and politely asked if they could get me back in to just level out the dip and reapply the top coat and trim the side of my nails in a little bit. The store manager told me she would be happy to fix them at 5 pm when they had time. I asked if there was anyone else sooner as I live in Girdwood and made the trip today as a little treat but needed to get back home sooner. She said there was absolutely no time before 4 that she could get me in. So I agreed and called my fiance. I then called back to see if I could come show her that there was blood glued down to my nails, the unevenness and just get even a partial refund and she said she does not refund but is available at 5 pm to fix it for me. I am so disappointed in the response to fixing this. When I left the shop there were 4 techs sitting together hanging out, when I drove back by to get the images of the shop sign there were no cars in the parking lot. I will not be returning and I recommend either going to a different shop or being much more firm than I was when sitting in their chair. The job she did was $90 and I didn't even get the set that I wanted.

She also did not reshape them correctly and she did not file down the other nails to match length even after I asked her to. The layer of acrylic she applied was so thin and burned my fingers. She also filed off some of the nail finish and didn't fix it even when pointed out and she noticed the problem. My friend I was with also asked for a very simple monochrome stripe design. The man cut her finger multiple times with the dremel tool with the acrylic, got UV-cured gel polish all over her fingers even after "fixing" it. He attempted to do the stripe design and the lines were all over the place. she showed him the inspo photos and it did not look anything like it. She ended up scrapping the design and opting for a chrome, which got all over her fingers and he didn't wash it off. Overall the place seemed clean but the vibe was unprofessional and seemed like they did not want us there. Not sure if it's just because of the time we went (midday on a Friday) but I would caution people on going here if they want anything other than a solid gel nail color.

Went in for gel manicure with some nail art. Chill vibe, not busy, and I was seated quickly. They seemed to understand what I wanted right away. BUT Right off the bat the lady doing my nails hurt me with the dremmel tool. I don't know what possessed me to let her try again only for her to hurt me two more times. One time the dremmel went UNDER my nail, the other two times the dremmel was being pressed into my finger, making it hurt and burn. This PMO so much I was nearly driven to tears. By the third time I told her to just clean it up and end it, I was done. She said she didn't understand and had to get the owner to come by and tell her to clean me up. Then the nail "tech" tried to say I was finished even though all the color was not off. I had to point out the BIG spots on three different nails where there was still bright orange color streaks! Next my nails are screwed up, they are not shaped correctly, they were supposed to be round but they are uneven, crooked, different shapes, some tips are cut, all screwed up. She screwed up my cuticles too, they are all flaky and clearly cut way too deep. I screwed up going here, don't make the same mistake I did! I doubt the nail tech I had is certified! At the end she said it was my fault, that my nails were too sensitive to the dremmel. I told her the dremmel wasn't responsible for going UNDER my nails or into my skin. I was not about to go through this awful terrible experience and be blamed for it! The owner seemed nice and she had a client that was happy, I wish I could have gotten the owner. But this other nail tech needs to be let go or go back to school or something. I can still feel where she cut me too deep with the cuticle trimmer, it feels like broken glass in my skin and on my fingertips. My nails look so chopped and unhealthy now. I feel so awful and angry. Terrible nail tech!
