They are great tacos. While they are not authentic Mexican tacos, they are tasty. I'd think of them more as fusion tacos. I can't remember which ones I had one, but I'm hesitant to come back. For one, it's really hot in there (No AC? Unless it was a one time thing), and second, Im not sure if the price per taco is worth the money. Maybe it is, but I'm not overly excited to return. This place is really good. Fast, affordable, and high quality with an array of unique and flavorful tacos to choose from. The quesadilla chips are to die for and so is the earth, wind and fire taco! Wow. This place is amazing. The staff was so cool and the food was delicious. I was not expecting to find this amazing taco shop beneath the Alley Cat but I'm so glad that I did. The owners made me feel at home and were so enthusiastic about the food, telling me all about the different marinades, sauces, and care they put into the food. We had burritos. They were huge so I had to force myself to not eat the whole thing. The flavors were amazing. Also got the horchata. So delicious! Not heavy despite it being chocolate. This is the ultimate hipster taco spot, right below a super hipster coffee spot. It's tiny but cool, the taco options are creative (some vegetarian friendly) and sound awesome, they are independent and I want to support independent spots, and they have fun things like spicy chocolate horchata. A small nook underneath a popular 24hr coffee house, Alley Cats. The place isn't too clean, but their tacos are yummy... not sure if they source their raw foods from environmentally friendly and organic places, if your hungry for a quick bite do try it out. My Boyfriend loved it and said it was his top 2 favorite taco places. I'm pretty sure he's only been to two taco joints and Taco Bell so his opinion shouldn't count. I've had my fair share in tacos and this wouldn't even make my top 20. The guy at the register was very friendly so I do feel a little bad for sounding so harsh but the food just wasn't good. The quesadilla chips were the only thing that I really enjoyed. Perhaps it was an off day but I order the carne asada and thai tacos and it just wasn't appetizing. The meat lacked seasoning and it had a very peculiar refrigerated frozen taste that I couldn't get pass. I also tried my boyfriends tacos and the meat had the same cheap taste. Skip the chain burrito place around the corner and stop here, you won't be disappointed. There's something for vegans, carnivores, and gluten free folks. I had the taco plate with the Earth, Wind and Fire taco and the Tofu Thai taco. The side of beans and rice was generous and they know how to prepare tofu well. I also got the Spicy Chocolate horchata which was incredible. I stopped here for lunch while driving through Fort Collins and I'm so glad we did. I do an annual ski trip through Colorado every winter and this is my stop when passing through Fo Co. Found this place when they first started as a quick stop for stellar food. What I discovered was tacos unlike any other. The tacos come "open" meaning you can see the fresh ingredients and unique cooking techniques. They are labeled "Authentic American" meaning they are a fusion interpretation of the classic taco. With styles like Thai Chicken or The Gobbler (a seasonal thanksgiving themed taco) there is something for everyone, even vegetarians and vegans (in fact they excel at those styles). My favorite is the Cajun Chicken, a perfect balance of Cajun spice and savory chicken taco flavors. And add the rice and beans to your plate... $10 for two plus rice and beans, great deal!! The kicker of it all was the second time I ate at this hidden gem the owners stop by my table and said hello. Nothing fancy here, but the ultra casual vibe and random decor only adds to authenticity of the food. There are some ultra classic items on the menu and a host of fusion tacos. I had a a breakfast taco and carne asada taco. Let me tell, my mouth was alive with flavors that I didn't know could be put into a soft tortilla! And the rice and beans?
