We flew from Texas to Colorado for a wedding and stayed in Greeley. We came to Rigo's for breakfast and I'm so glad we did. The food was very filling and delicious!! In Texas, we have no shortage of Mexican restaurants, but Rigo's has to be one of the best and most authentic ones I have been to! Although the location appears a bit unassuming, the restaurant gives such a homey environment. The service was fast, the food was hot, and the wait staff were so kind and friendly! Would 100% recommend if you're in the area. read more

We were in Greeley for baseball and decided to try someplace new and chose Rigo's based on several positive reviews --boy are we glad we did! Don't be fooled by this unassuming little restaurant, and make sure you give it a try. We started with Rigo's chips and salsa. The salsa was fresh and delicious with just a little bite. We decided to give the Chili Relleno Burrito a try. It was spectacular! On the side we had refried pinto beans (so good) and potatoes (cooked to crisp perfection with peppers, onions, and tomatoes). Our service was excellent! Our waitress was delightful and very attentive. But the very best thing about this restaurant was the owner himself. Rigo came from the kitchen to the dining room to meet us and to reassure us that if anything was not to our liking, we were to let him know and he would make it right. Not surprisingly, because of the pride he takes in his establishment, everything was perfect from the start! The food was delicious, the service was spectacular, but the owner truly was the icing on the cake! That you, Rigo! We'll certainly be back! read more

What an exquisite beginning to 2025. Picture it, Greeley, Colorado, New Year's Day and a mother and son are looking to start the year off without cooking another meal or having leftovers. Someone recommended Rigo's. They walk in to this newly discovered, culinary gem of Mexican delicacies to be welcomed by fantastic staff, reasonable prices, and the recommendation to try the chili relleno burrito. While savoring every bite of fresh made rice, beans, and garnish(lettuce, tomato, onion...) they begin to discuss the taco salad that just arrived at the next table, and how they must return to try the, obviously homemade to perfection, taco bowl and all the treasures within. Then they head out into the new year day, full of energy and thoughts of the warm, inviting ambiance, like a Grandma Susie Garcia's home, cooking, and hugs use to be: full of love. Thank you, Rigo's. It was like going home and being welcomed with a feast. We look forward to returning, very soon. read more

Was on a greeley fb page and saw a post about this place not getting much business. Looked at the menu and thought we would give it a try. The food was at an amazing price and amazing sizes! The food was delicious! I'll be honest it's hard finding some good Mexican restaurants in noco but this place is part of my top 10 places for good Mexican. We went after the post was made and man did greeley show up for these people! It was packed so of course service was a bit slow. However, you have to consider they weren't expecting half of greeley to show up that night! Lol the owner saw how distressed the waitresses were so he jumped in to Help. He was amazing! We are always on the lookout for Mexican Food that reminds me of the Southern California/Baja style that I grew up with. We found it at Rigo's and while we aren't in Greeley often we will be back. I had the Machaca Plate and my husband had the Carnitas Plate. The meat on both was so tender and the salsa with the meal was great. The service was friendly and while they weren't super busy the morning after the 4th of July, the regulars love it here which says a lot. Rigo, we wish you all the best! After hearing lots of positive reviews, we finally were able to visit Rigo's for ourselves. The menu is extensive and offers something for everyone. I opted for the Pork Chimichanga and it was one of the best I've had. It was huge and came with beans and rice. The beans were so good I had to get a quart to take home The only disappointment was that the green chili is not spicy at all. I asked the waitress if they had an extra hot version but I don't think. She understood what I was asking for. I know spice is a personal preference and the table behind us thought the lack of spice was a positive thing. I will still plan on going back as the food was still good. Regarding the atmosphere, it is not very well ventilated so any clothes you wear in will definitely carry the smell of a Mexican restaurant until washed read more

This restaurant popped up on my Facebook timeline so had to try it. Once we arrived it was the old Stockman Cafe :-( It's kind of tricky getting to it since the old entrance off of 85 was no longer accessible. I ended up ordering the shrimp enchilada smothered in pork green chili and it was very good. My wife had two chicken tacos with rice and beans. Our waitress brought over their breakfast menu and we will definitely be back for breakfast. read more

I agree with Lori. My family and I are at the Sparkler Softball Tournament which today games are in Eaton. Looking for someplace close and came across this review. Love trying local when we can... so happy we did today. Rigo's was spectacular. So fresh and homemade were the salsa and chips. Combo with a tostada and freshly made fried tortilla as the base. Yummy! The guys had burritos, carne asada and chili relleno, both enjoyed to the last bite. What nice people. We very much enjoyed, Rigo. The food at Rigos was great. It was eating at a western stock show. The funny thing was you would think that you would be eating at a steak house. But this local gem was frequented by the locals for good reason. The food was good and flavorful. The steak and ground beef was spectacular. I almost bought me a cow while I was there. Yes you could buy a cow while you ate your lunch. What a sales pitch. Eat spectacular ground beef and carne asada steak then go next door and buy your meat for your house for a month. The service was great as well. The Latino ladies worked there but off and keep your cup full and chips and salsa coming. The chips and salsa were home made and very tasty. The ambiance was good as well the servers kept the place looking very clean. I am putting the word out because the locals are hiding this gem. Great food at a great price. Thank you Rigos. read more

Okay, yes it is hard to find Rigo's but it is worth it. Huge menu and large servings of good food. Everyone working there was very friendly and full of smiles when they asked if everything was okay with the food and we gave them positive responses. The salsa is tasty and the chips heated and crispy. I ordered the two item combination plate of a chile relleno and a pork enchilada. The pork was so tender and delicious. The chile relleno had a nice plump chile. The only thing I would change is I would like a spicier green chile over the top of both. My husband had the carne asada chimichanga. We both ate until we were very full and both had enough to bring home for another meal. read more

We went after the big rush and have been back twice since then. The food is great. The service was friendly and quick. They serve breakfast until 11 but she said if you want something from there, he'll probably make it. The owner/cook came out to greet us all 3 times. We will be back -- the only struggle was finding it.. fastest way we have found so far is to go to 5th street, turn North on 6th Ave and take that road all the way down to the dead end. Hopefully they will get better signage soon. read more

OMG, this place is SO GOOD! My husband looked at me like I was crazy as we pulled up to the humble, barn-looking building and said, "are we really doing this?" but we took the chance based on other reviews and Rigo's DID NOT DISAPPOINT. My husband had the Rigo's Special (think spicy carne asada) and I had the Mariscos Mojo de Ajo (shrimp in a garlic citrus marinade). They were both EPIC. I am a Mojo de Ajo fan and have had it at so many restaurants, but this was definitely one of the best! Oh, and don't get me started on the rice and refried beans! I hardly ever touch refried beans but these were LEGIT. And the rice was full of flavor. Everything was amazing, including the service and the prices. 10/10 will be going back. SOON. read more

What a great place, albeit a bit hard to get to. Traditional mexican plate food, but really tasty and very affordable. I went in mid-morning, after breakfast menu ended. I ordered the Casa Chimichanga with pork and it was served hot, fresh and crispy in about 5 minutes. read more
