Space fries are indeed very spicy. Yum.

Excellent chicken sandwiches. I got the original. Friend got the Nashville. Both were good. The space fries are also excellent but very spicy. Just be warned.

Chicken is always hot and delicious, fries are crispy, great selection of Stubborn Sodas which is a fun change, best ice in the world, and fun ambiance.

Chicken, my favorite! Comet Chicken is hard to spot when driving by, but once you spot it you're on your way. Fast and easy service where you order at the front and they bring it out to your table. The staff were all courteous, kind and helpful. The interior is gorgeous and very well spaced out and designed. Table, booth, high top and patio seating, yeah, they have it all. We opted for the tender meals and weren't wowed, but it's good food. The sauces are odd in flavor and the coleslaw could have tasted better, but the chicken and fries were on point. If I'm ever back I think I'd try one of the sandwiches or tasty looking bowls.

Stopped at Comet Chicken for a late lunch and weren't disappointed. Their menu is limited but it does the job well. We ordered the 4 piece, which comes with fries and two sauces and is enough for two people to share. The sodas are off brand, but we thought the ginger ale and the cream soda were really good. The food was fresh, hot and delicious. We sat outside enjoying the nice weather. Definitely recommend.

I've now ordered chicken from Comet Chicken twice - once for delivery, once for takeout, and I am in love (as you can tell by the different angles of the same sandwich, just so you can appreciate each side of goodness)! I walked in most recently in the middle of the week, and strolled right up to the counter. A bubbly young woman bounced up from the kitchen and asked what we were looking for, suggesting the Nashville hot if we liked spice. Yes, yes, I do like spice! I ordered the Nashville hot sandwich, opting out of the combo she offered, since I knew I'd be more than full after seeing the size of another sandwich heading out the door. When I unwrapped this massive beauty, I knew I was in for some delicious pain. The crust of the chicken glistened with fiery sauce, the fluffy bun soaked up the drippings from the fresh slaw and piping hot oil from frying the chicken. The first bite was perfect - sweet crisp followed by a wave of spicy heat, which was tempered by the creamy slaw. I devoured the entire thing and wasn't mad about it. Since it's walking distance from work now, I foresee a few very unhealthy, but oh-so-delicious, options to many upcoming meals!

The dining area was clean, stylish, and had a relaxing atmosphere that made the entire meal even more enjoyable. It felt like the kind of place where you could enjoy a casual lunch, celebrate a birthday, or have a nice dinner with family. I can honestly say there wasn't a single thing I would change about my visit. It's rare to find a restaurant that consistently delivers on every level, but this one certainly does. I highly recommend giving it a try if you're nearby, and I'm already looking forward to my next visit.

I'm not vegan, but pretty close, so I always enjoy having a full menu of plant-based meals to choose from. I went with the samurai bowl and an impossible thoughts tonic. The samurai bowl exceeded expectations - the sesame nori-crusted tempeh was really unique and delicious with the caesar dipping sauce. They offered hot sauce but I ended up not really needing it because the bowl was plenty flavorful without. The tonic was also really interesting - lots going on but it really worked. In addition to the main menu, they also have a whole array of vegan cakes and cupcakes for dessert, many of which are also gluten-free. I had a GF lemon lavender cake. The cake was also fantastic and the texture was perfect. It was quite a large slice, so I'd recommend splitting a slice of cake between two people. A very good experience that I'd recommend for anyone interested in plant-based food!

I came here with a partner en route to Laramie WY. We each ordered a sandwich and split their Shishito Peppers and Baba Ganoush. All of that and their mocktails were delicious. Service is also top notch. We chose to sit upstairs, which felt cozy. I love all the décor and their whole vibe in general. I want to come back to try everything else on their menu - from drinks and tapas to desserts. I have my eye on their Persian Love Cake and Tres Leches Cake, which I wish I had ordered to-go. As we were wandering northward someone started suggested G&B. My reaction was absolutely not, why don't we go to Persimmon instead? "Oh, I've heard good things - where is it?" There. "Where?" Right there. "I don't see it." That door directly across the street from us! Persimmon is quite inconspicuous from the street, but is one of Fort Collins' hidden in plain sight gems. That proved to be a good thing on a day where thousands of people pretty much had the same thought of needing something to warm up - while there were throngs at other places we passed by Persimmon was nearly empty. Our group of 6 easily found a comfy spot for our group. It turns out the we beat the lunch rush - it started to get quite busy once noon rolled around. After perusing the menu for warm drinks a few decided they were hungry so food was ordered as well. I had a matcha latte, unsweetened, and it was a perfect choice to warm up after being out in the wind and bluster that morning. They use a ceremonial grade matcha, which I found to be smooth and really not bitter. I also shared a pastrami sandwich with one of my friends - they were nice enough to bring out the sandwich halves on two plates. While not a New York deli kind of sandwich, it was good - quality ingredients on focaccia. They source their pastrami from a specialty butcher in Denver, though I've forgotten their name. Sandwiches are served with kettle chips that are light, crispy, and not too oily. In a previous visit I had their tuna sandwich and sampled some appetizers. The tuna sandwich was among the best I have ever had - I can't really put my finger on why but I do remember that my first bite wowed me. I didn't see the meze sampler on the menu this time, but as I recall the beet hummus was a standout. I don't lunch out in Old Town very often, but Persimmon is always such a pleasure. I need to make a point of coming more often.

They're rated really high -- actually one of the highest-rated restaurants in Fort Collins -- and from a food perspective I don't really understand why. Sliders with sweet potato fries -- fine, nothing extraordinary. Potato éclairs -- . It was really just mashed potatoes with some topping on it. I honestly didn't even finish it. Mountain oysters -- huge letdown. They came out so overcooked they were basically crunchier than potato chips, with the batter crumbling off. I've never had them before, so I didn't get a good representation of how they're supposed to be -- these were just super-cooked batter. On the space: we ended up sitting in three different spots to eat. We went outside by the street first -- super loud, and people were smoking, so we headed back in. The open spot inside was right under the AC and about forty degrees, so we moved to the back area. The back was fine -- covered -- but pretty dirty, with mop buckets and clutter sitting around. The one drink I had was a good value since we were there at happy hour -- some kind of fruity whiskey drink. It was fine, but nothing I'd seek out again. I hate to give such a friendly place a bad review. It'd be a really great spot if you're a college student who wants some cheap bites and a drink -- but honestly it's just bar food, and the ceiling is probably a 4 on a really good day. I wouldn't get excited to head down there, and parking is a bit of a hassle too. Would recommend only if you're after very cheap eats in that area -- check them out for happy hour. But I would not return.
