Dewey Pest Control - serving Vista. Shout out to Jackie from Dewey Pest - Has kindness happened to you lately? I contacted Dewey Pest Control to cancel service due to financial difficulty. I had not fulfilled my contract but Jackie was so wonderful and allowed me to defer the service until I'm able to restart. Kindness always has positive rewards. I will always recommend and continue to utilize a company that has heart and does great work! read more

Service of replacement of insulation by a Dewey subcontractor was not good and having to have second time of someone to come out and tack up falling insulation. Subcontractor would not provide any warranty but Dewey did. About 3x5 area of space was not covered by a vapor barrier at all, I was told all was fine under home after having the Subcontractor come out a first time to address concerns. Payments on credit card charged twice right from the beginning. read more

Called Dewey Pest Control to shut off our service because we moved out of the place in January and have tried to cancel the service twice. Today they tell us to cancel the service it's gonna cost us $200. Why? What does it cost to not send somebody else out? That's just crazy talk! read more

Please call any and every other rodent/pest control service out there besides this one. They just want to sign you up on their bi monthly or monthly service and never see you again. And when they come they literally spray the bare minimum and call it a day. Complete waste of money, take your time and money elsewhere. read more

The reason I continue to use Dewey Pest Control is not ONLY because they are great but David Baker truly makes our service outstanding. He is so thorough and informative. If he doesn't have the answer to a question of mine he does the research and follows up with me. He is very personable and just a genuinely sweet man who knows his stuff. Dewey Pest Control and my family are lucky to have him. read more

We have been using Dewey about a year and really like them. We get their quarterly pest control, which has kept most pests under control around our property. We have also used them for local termite treatment. I really thought they did a thorough job regarding the termites. Charlene took her time and answered all our questions, and recommended the treatments that would be the least burdensome to our lives while getting the job done. Scheduling the treatment and repair was easy and although the job took longer than anticipated, we were not charged extra and appreciated that the job was done right instead of rushed through. We really feel like our home is in good hands and that everyone we have interacted with has been eager to help. read more

Company not acting in good faith. Will ask you to sign a contract with a "discounted" initial fee. This fee is actually an inflated initial service fee ($300) that is waived. Just look around at their competitors, their initial service fee is $100-$150. The reason they set a high figure like this and waive it is this "discounted" fee is the locked cancelation fee for the next 12 months. There is no incentive for them then to respond or provide good customer service because they know they have you locked in. Its actually better for them to lose you as a customer as they make more then the monthly fee if you leave. Go elsewhere or negotiate the initial waived service fee down to market value. read more

We were really happy with our experience with Dewey Pest Control. Joe came out to our place and was so helpful with all our questions on the ant issue we were having in our place. He was patient in answering all of them and didn't seem rushed at all. We have seen a great reduction in the issue and know that we can rely on Dewey for any future issues. read more

Joe came and treated the inside of my apartment. He was extremely knowledgeable and informative. He told me everything about what he was doing and what I should do. He left complete information in writing about the above and more. read more

Have a yearly contract. Very happy with their inspections, repairs and service................

Good personal service but way too much money for what you receive. Particularly if you have been a customer for some time - as they raise their rates constantly. read more

Love Dewey at San Marcos! One of the very best. Ernesto is your guy! He is prompt and attentive. He is diligent and has a great attitude. The follow up is exceptional and the attention to customer service is outstanding. Ernesto is willing to go above and beyond to meet expectations. Thank you. A huge shout out to Ernesto! Kindness matters. You are a light in this place. A resident called to tell me what an "exceptional young man you are" how they have "never in their life been treated so respectfully and kind from any vendor that has come onsite." That Ernesto has done an amazing good job that the pests are gone! Thank you so much for your outstanding customer service and work ethic! Please don't change from our route!! Oh no we won't let Ernesto go!! read more

My husband and I noticed ants in our new townhome so we called Dewey Pest Control. David Fields came out right away and took an assessment. He determined we would only need a spray outside since the ants weren't living in our unit. He then asked if we had an HOA and said yes and said we should ask our HOA if pest control was included so we wouldn't waste our money. We found out our HOA does in fact cover pest control! Though we ended up not using Dewey's services, we greatly appreciate David's honesty. If we have any other problems besides ants we would definitely contact David at Dewey again. You can trust this guy! read more

Ernesto is professional, reliable, and very responsive. We look forward to working with him more in the future. I have been meaning to change my rating to 5 stars. He is very communicative with me and I appreciate great customer service. Thanks Ernesto. read more

Ernesto went above and beyond his job expectations, he explained the process and answered all my questions. However the office is another story, I tried to pay for the termite inspection several times and was met with "let me call you back I have to look up your file". I don't understand when a customer wants to pay for a service the business should be willing to take your $$$$$. The front office needs HELP. read more

Until I receive decent customer service, I am giving this place 1 star. It all starts with customer service and the person in the office answering the phones is the first impression of Dewey. If the office point of contact does her job poorly and with an attitude.. it will taint the experience with Dewey all around! We called to simply get an ETA on a tech and Jackie was extremely rude! She was not happy to help us and it was impossible to even get a word in because she continued to cut me off. When we are already dealing with pest, we don't have time to deal with a nasty attitude in the office. So many pest control companies out there and they all kill pest but they do not all have loyal customers that are happy! The best thing to keep loyal customers is to make sure that your company exceeds expectations that stand out from the rest! I would start with your office staff Dewey! Very disappointed!! I am keeping my review at a 1 star but I did want to say that Oscar our technician did a good job! However, we will not ever use Dewey again due to the lack of customer service in the office. read more

Great service !!! Oscar really helped control our insect issue. I would recommend this company to all my neighbors.

This review is 100% due to a new technician, Ernesto. He clearly understands customer service and is very knowledgeable about pest control. He has my trust and I am grateful to partner with him as a vendor. Great hire Dewey! Thank you for giving us the gift of this professional! read more

It has been a "not so friendly" customer service adventure. What do you do when you've called for billing issues repeatedly with NO success??? You hope that the branch manger would step in and assist. NOT THIS BRANCH MANAGER JASON SMITH....instead he calls your home not once but twice BEFORE 8:00 AM to inform you that you are behind two months after never returning ANY others BILLING ISSUES calls! NOW that's what I call real SERVICE. There is a lot more to bad display of managerial skills however l will allow his superiors to do their due diligence before I report back. read more

We recently switched our property to Dewey and Ernesto B. is our new technician. Unfortunately, just had our house tented through a company that Dewey used, very careless, broken ceramic piece outside and a broken clay piece in the garage, plants stomped on in front yard, they told us we would receive a call 40 minutes before it was time we could enter the house, never got a call from them, I had to call the office to see if we could enter and to find out out where our keys were which they had left under the mat. Very poor follow up customer service . And not very apologetic when I told them about broken pieces and plants. Since this last post they have reimbursed me 100dollars and as far as not reaching us, it was a phone problem, hence I changed to 3 1/2 stars read more

Called DEWEY out for a Bed Bug inspection this week. Operator does not quote a "charge" for an inspection on phone. Technician shows up at place of business and says there will now be a charge for the inspection to confirm if bed bugs present because the last time they (Dewey) gave our business a bid for bed bugs, we did not approve or use their services that ONE time. This Dewey franchise just lost our business. Calling every other licensed Bed Bug Pest Control vendors in 92026 area for a professional FREE inspection with written results/quote for treatment (if warranted). Update: Found a licensed pest control vendor who gave a FREE estimate and just signed the approval quote for a chemical treatment this week. $750 loss for Dewey of San Marcos. read more

My apartment complex works with these people. And the technician that came out today Chris left my back door wide open after he had sprayed my apartment did not use the key provided by the office to lock the door behind him. When I called them and said that I would like him to come back out 2 day to spray my apartment due to the fact that the back door was wide open. I was told that he could possibly come back out on Friday and redo it. Can't say this is the customer service I was looking for. Considering that gives more time for these bugs to multiply so then that way I have to have them come out even more and have my house torn apart part even longer. read more

Started out really liking dewey. We moved into a newly built community and had problems with spiders, roaches, and other insects from neighboring construction. The initial estimate was reasonable (quarterly treatments for indoor and outdoor at $100/each) and the gentleman from Dewey who performed the consultation was professional. Initially the sprays (indoor specifically) were not helpful so our technician Joe put in effort to come periodically and treat our home until the mild infestation was under control. We stayed on our contract of quarterly treatments for two years. After about a year of service, I found the customer service to be terrible. I would call to schedule our next spray (as the date and time Dewey sets does not work with someone who works outside the home) and it usually took me calling at least three times leaving messages each time to even get a call back. If a paying customer has to call three times for a call back there is something wrong with how the business is operating. The last straw for me was when my technician no showed on my last spray. I had taken the morning off work to be home for the indoor spray. That is incredibly unprofessional and unforgivable in my opinion and shows how much this business values their customers. I decided to end my contract based on that and will be seeking a more organized company to be providing my pest control needs in the future. Lastly, when I decided to end my contract, the secretary said well it seems like we owe you a spray that you have already paid for so why don't we do that treatment and then cancel next quarters service. Turns out that was a way to squeeze another $100 out of me since I received a bill for this treatment and apparently "whoever told me that was mistaken". Feeling catfished and cheated. Not the way a customer should feel after working with a business. Would not suggest this branch location! read more

I paid $ 400.00 for termite coverage for a year. We are selling our house and the buyers termite company determined that we had some minor termites. I calledDewey to take care of it. They came out and did their inspection and determined that there were no termites. They sent me a bill for $ 100.00 even though I paid for a whole year of coverage. I called them and they told me because I am selling my home it's different and they have to charge me. I think it's highway robbery. Don't ever do business with this company!! read more
