Recently signed up as we started to encounter the usual summer weather of ants and spiders. The technician came out and did a "service" . Well when we arrived home the next day the house still had lots and lots of ants and some spiders. Also, when walking around our house we noticed that there were still lots of cob webs thought that they were supposed to de-web them. Well been home all day waiting for them to return, sadly not impressed with the "service " even though a neighbor recommended them, well I will not be recommending them. read more

If I could give this company no stars I would!! I currently live in Elan Shadowridge Meadows and it's infested! Lloyd is the pest company here and they have done a poor job showing efforts and I won't STOP till effort is SHOWN! At this point I have to wait till they either get fired or keep being the squeaky wheel to get this done because if I don't keep up with making sure this gets done it won't get done. The staff for this property are neglecting this property and the tenants and pets are getting the shortest end of the stick. One the techs here (Juan), he has already been caught not doing his job properly when he came to spray my unit, he failed to communicate he needed maintenance in there with him to get access to the entire kitchen and then he lied about when he's supposed to show up and do his job. And he admitted about the fact that he wasn't going to do half of my kitchen because the stove appliance was in the way, and when I brought it up to his supervisor, he lied and said he didn't say that at all when he did. He could have communicated with the front desk requesting maintenance to move the stove but he did not do so and was expecting to do half of his job that way. Good thing I walked back in before he continued to spray to move the stove so he can get in the cabinets because he wasn't going too. So I pushed the stove back towards the wall and left a gap so he can still spray behind the stove and get into cabinets and HE STILL DIDN'T SPRAY THE CABINETS OR THE BEHIND STOVE! So Go elsewhere because my mental health has been completed effected since my place I now call home/property(outside) is infested and has brought so many negative emotions to my life these past few weeks. I definitely regret moving to this Property. The Value of this company is HORRIBLE! You will not get any value going through this pest company. Honestly I would give zero stars if I could. My husband and I just purchased a home and the sellers chose Lloyd's to come and do some termite repairs and tenting. When we did the final inspection, we noticed that part of our roofline that was supposed to fixed by Lloyd's was not attached and just left hanging there. We called to have someone back out. It was scheduled for October 3. I took the day off of work for it. Nobody showed up or called me to reschedule that day. After waiting the 4 hour window, I spoke to 3 different "customer service" reps and they finally came to a solution and confirmed I could be rescheduled for today, Saturday Oct 5. I called yesterday to confirm everything. I was told the supervisor was going to be coming between 12-4pm today and my phone # was put on file to get a heads up call. I called this morning to again verify, the phones just kept ringing and nobody answered, not even a voicemail. I wanted to again verify my appointment. Apparently at noon their phone lines shut off at noon and I was left waiting for my repair tech thinking surely they wouldn't screw me again. It's now 4 pm and nobody has called me and nobody has shown up. THIS IS THE SECOND NO CALL NO SHOW!! I am disgusted by the customer service (or lack there of), especially since this appointment was to complete a job left halfway done from two weeks ago. If this job wasn't being fixed under warranty from the first time you guys attempted to fix it, I would be calling another company. You guys are awful and I will never recommend this place to anybody. *update- I left my house around 4:15 since nobody showed up. Just got back and had this note inside my gate. Nowhere does it have my phone number listed like the receptionist said she'd provide, and nobody called me to let me know they'd be to my house after the 4 hour window. I'm even more annoyed now. Horrible!! They missed termites on our home inspection report! We hired Lloyd Pest to do our home inspection report before buying our house in Carlsbad. They cleared it of termites and said there was minimal dry rot. When I called to have it fixed, the guy laughed and said "don't worry, just fix when you move in". Two weeks after we moved into it our house, we watched termites fall from our recessed lighting, located near the dry rot damage. They refused to admit that it was missed and said if I would've got the dry rot fixed they would've covered the tenting. They found the recording of me asking the agent about getting it fixed and decided it wasn't their responsibility anymore and refused to pay for any part of the service. As a new homeowner, the lack of customer service and support from Lloyd and the manager, Na-em truly doesn't leave faith for trusted local companies. Please be cautious, they are non responsive & customer service and quality work is NOT their top priority. read more

It's been a long time , I mean years that I have asked for the Lloyd's inspector to determine if we had termites. Then we had our roof plywood and fascia boards inspected. The damage was extreme and expensive to repair. So much for the annual service agreement. Their annual inspection is a cursory once over. Never finding any sign of infestation. Don't choose Lloyds pest control. It will cost you in the end with damage that they can easily look over. read more

I got quote for fumigation from another company for $4340 but I called Lloyd and Jeff said $1425, at the beginning I hesitated base on bad reviews on yelp, any way i got the service from Lloyd and it's grantee for 4 years and they did the fumigation three days after I singed the contract and the interested part is that they allowed me to pay the balance in three payments, I'm very happy with their service and highly recommend this company read more

We had another bigger company service our home for a couple years, but decided to switch to Lloyd's because they seemed decently priced. I'm so glad we switched! Although the tech with the other company was nice, we've gone the longest period without seeing any spider or other bugs indoors! They only come out when called, but in reality, we haven't needed to call much because whatever they use, it's working so much better. I definitely recommend you give Lloyd's a try! read more

We were doing a refi and called them for an inspection. WORST decision ever. The quote was $50 and the "inspector" found a few wings in the attic. No idea how long they were there and he couldn't find any other evidence or any damage. The report was awful and they recommended tenting the house at a cost of $2000.00! I will NEVER call them for any service in the future. I could have termites coming out of my ears and I would not call them. I called a few other companies and one quoted $350.00 for the inspection, but I found another one that did inspections for under $100.00 and they came out and inspected even more thoroughly than Lloyd's, found ONE dead termite, and had the full report indicating no infestation and no recommendations emailed to me the same day! I signed up for a quarterly service because I had an ant and a spider problem in and out, I had pets so I had to be called before the service, after the supervisor came out to do the first service in and out, which I still seen several ants outside, spiders and webs in the eve's. I called the office to try to make some progress to get rid of my insect problem and spoke with the branch manager of the San Marcos office, I expressed my issues with the manager and I still wasn't reassured that my problem would be taken care of. I believe if I spent my money on a better researched company I would of had better results, I would not recommend this company. read more

I used Lloyds Pest Control for more than 10 years while I lived in Carlsbad. I had a great service guy named Jose. I moved to San Marcos (where they have an office!) two years ago and the service has gone downhill​ ever​ since. Once they failed to call to advise​ me about ​the ​upcoming service, which could have been a disaster if I had not arrived home earlier than planned and seen them. I could have let my dog out not knowing they had sprayed. The service guy didn't seem too concerned. On another visit the guy didn't pay attention to my concerns about bugs around the trash can. Last, but certainly not least, when I canceled on 8/6 Brenda said she was sure a manager would call me. No one very did. read more

We had an infestation of bed bugs and we called this company because it has been our pest control company for a long time. A woman by the name "Dee" came and after a brief inspection she told us that she needed to take measurement of our home. She didn't come as prepared as other companies did. She left and never send us a proposal even though we contacted her directly on the cell phone. We called another company and they did all the paperwork right on the spot and two days later they did the work and every time we call for questions the inspector responded right away. Needless to say that we cancelled our service with Lloyd and gave our business to this other company. I don't think that Lloyd Pest Control is aware enough that they are in a very competitive market and neither the power of the Internet. If you are willing to deal with an unreliable company be my guest. We are not! read more

He was on time, professional, and did a thorough job of inspecting the home. He provided us with options for treatment of termites that explained the services and results. We opted to spot treat the termites and Lloyd sent out Carlos Castillo to treat and repair any damage. Carlos was on time, friendly, extremely skillful, and neat. He did the job in a day and left the premises as found. We could not be happier with Lloyd Pest Control. I havent used the service myself, but my neighbor has. Not only did they leave gates open for my neighbors house but they dug up my backyard to out dirt on part of the tent that drapped to my aide of the fence without asking. They did put the dirt back though once taking tenting off but in doing so they invited themselves into my backyard with nobody home and left my gate unlocked in the process allowing my dog to get out. Luckily he was returned by a friendly family but if he would have gotten picked up be the dog pound then I would have been spending money to get him out. Don't use this company, especially if you have sold your home and need to have a termite inspection. They only tent. So the worker found 5 wings in the attic and recommended tenting at a cost of $3295. I knew this was extreme and got another quote from another company who recommended topical treatment. The buyers were perplexed at the conflicting termite reports and we did a third inspection which confirmed that the topical treatment was the way to go. Lloyd Pest only does tenting. They don't do topical. I would never call them again. read more

We just found out that we have been getting billed since 9/2013 for service that we have not been receiving, and that I know I verbally cancelled this service by phone at the conclusion of a this 6-month service (3/2014). I would never have agreed to an on-going, as needed contract in the first place...No service calls were performed since my initial call on 9/2013, and I was not notified of continued billing this entire time (9/2013 - 4/2015). I called Customer Service on 4/15/15 to get this issue resolved and was told that the service I signed up on 9/2013 was an "on demand" (on-going) service and Lloyd's required a phone call or email record of the service cancellation request, but I was not informed of any of this at the time I originally called for service (9/2013). The phone record could not be found, and Customer Service would only refund 8 mo's of charges even though I should have been initially informed of this and refunded a full year of service charges. I am furious and will never use Lloyd Pest control again, and will file a complaint with the corporate offices and the BBB. What a terrible way to do business!!! I feel cheated/scammed/tricked and unfairly treated! We would have caught this mistake immediately if we had not signed up for automatic payment. Do NOT EVER give Lloyd's your credit card number...they will continue to bill you for services not requested or rendered unless they have a written (or recorded) request for cancellation and you can prove it to them somehow. They state that they cannot find any record of my phone call...how convenient for them to continually charge me for doing nothing! read more
