I've been using Corky's Pest Control for about 3 years. I first contacted them when I moved to a new home in Escondido, which had a gopher problem in the backyard. Corky's took care of the issue. It took a few months to resolve it, but considering the last homeowner did nothing to control the issue I'm very pleased and grateful to now see my nice green backyard without gopher holes. During another follow-up visit for gopher control, Danny Loftus (Service Specialist with Corky's) was checking out some of the exotic trees we have on the property. One in particular was a Coral Tree. This tree has beautiful green foliage and presents incredible orange petals in the spring. Danny pointed out that the tree was dying because of an infestation of some moth type pest. He recommended a treatment for the tree in which a chemical would be sprayed all over it to kill the pests in the tree. This was done last December 2018. There were no guarantees however because it's an ornamental tree and was very mature we wanted to save the tree. By the Spring the tree started to generate the orange petals followed by incredible green leaves that I've not seen on the tree in the 2+ years on the property. The tree was full and healthy. Even Danny was amazed at how healthy the tree was and continues to be to date. Currently (Dec 2019) coral tree still has leaves on it. This time last year all of its leaves had fallen already. I had a separate pest control company taking care of ants and spiders around the property, but I recently moved all of my pest control needs to Corky's. I would highly recommend Corkys for not only general pest issues, but definitely to eradicate gophers. With the vast knowledge and background of it's employees like Danny, Corky's can also address landscape issues like my incredible coral tree. For me , reviewing any service company, including Corky's, is to review the quality of its people, its service and its results. Together, these three elements are the reasons for our 5-star rating of Corky's. We've had Corky's service for about eight years. During that time, glitches have been few and the overall results have been excellent. There are two main reasons for this: 1) the performance of appointment personnel and most important 2) the professionalism of our service representative, Luis Mejia (CP #70). Early in our dealings with Corky's, several different field representatives were sent to service our home. In a few cases, the representative seemed to lack the interest and thoroughness and concern that we expected. When Luis arrived, we knew whom we wanted to care for our place, and to assure that problems we had were diagnosed and well-treated with the professionalism we expected. Luis has been caring for our home ever since, and we would have no one else. He is well-informed, competent and thorough, and the proof is in the results he produces. We have been free of problems for some time now, and it is due do directly to Luis, to his knowledge of his field, and to his performance. Nut, Luis knows one other thing that is most important; that we are concerned about pest control in our home and that matters to him. He treats us as if we were good friends, and he cares about our home as though is were his own. If Luis is ever promoted or reassigned, we'll pray that Corky's cares enough about it field reps to send us someone that comes somewhat close to Luis. If that happens, we'll probably continue Corky's services. If not, you can be sure we'll be looking around. Care about your people, Corky's. Last week I found roaches in my apartment under the sink in the kitchen, I was sure it was an issue with the apartment complex but sought to figure out way the raoches had taken up home in MY HOME. I called Corky's to have them do an inspection and hopefully treat the issue. Corky's customer service rep was very patient and explained to me that roaches are attracted to water sources after the conversation I found that my pipes were leaking an had created a puddle of water under the sink. FIXED that problem but still wanted Corkys to come check out the apartment. The technician was scheduled to be there the next day in the morning. I stayed home from work and went through the house with the technician (JOCK) during the inspection. Jock found no major issues or causes for the roach problem. We did find one or two more roaches under the sink Jock treated that area and the bathroom and said that he would be back in 2 weeks to do the second treatment which the customer service rep had previously explained. By the time Jock came back two weeks later the issue was long gone and a second treatment was unnecessary so i didnt have to pay for a second treatment (I thought that was realy nice of him) well to be perfectly honest I've been mistreated by pest control companies before and corkys treated me with respect and honesty. If your in the market for a pest control company you should give Corkys a call and have them send out one of their awesome technicians. Peace of mind is priceless and having pest issues in your home can cause health or structural damage if you do your research and weigh the cost verse services in regards to effectiveness you'll be pleased to go with Corky's. read more

Corky's completed a termite inspection for us several months ago prior to the sale of my house. At the time, Corky's noted that a rotted post needed to be replaced, but our buyer fell through and we had to put the house back up for sale. To make a long story short, we found another buyer and at the last moment, his lender said the post needed to be replaced and the home would need clearance from your company. The buyer was able to get the post replaced first thing the next morning, but we still needed the Corky's technician to re-inspect. All of this needed to be done by the date of sale. Our real estate agent spoke to the tech at Corky's and he initially said he did not have any openings. We were in a panic! Given that we were likely to lose our home to foreclosure unless we got clearance from Corky's and got the inspection report to the buyer's lender by the date of sale, I pleaded my case in front of your tech to see if there was ANYTHING they could do. I spoke to the tech directly and explained our situation. He said he would speak to a supervisor to see if the technician could re-arrange his schedule from his appointments in LA or see if there was another technician that could do the job. Well, somebody made some magic happen, because Corky's got clearance for the house all within a three hour time frame. They may never know this, but the technicians and their speedy response, and quick attention to their customer's needs, might have helped us save our home in enough time from being foreclosed upon. Extremely Disappointed I am extremely disappointed with the service I received from Corky's Pest Control. The customer service was horrendous, and the on-site pest control services were even worse. To start, their treatment for pests like spiders and ants was completely ineffective. Despite their claims, no cobwebs were cleaned during their visits. It was evident that the technicians were just going through the motions without actually addressing the problem. Moreover, my attempts to contact them for a resolution have been futile. I have sent four emails over the past few weeks, and not a single one has been answered. This level of neglect is unacceptable for any business, especially one that claims to value its customers. When I finally decided to call their office, hoping to speak with someone directly, I was transferred to an answering machine. This added to my frustration and confirmed the lack of professionalism and commitment to customer satisfaction. They even told me they would come back to respray and take care of the cobwebs, but nothing has changed. My Ring Camera didn't capture anyone passing by, entering my yard, or even knocking on the front door. It's clear they never showed up, despite their promises. I cannot in good conscience recommend Corky's Pest Control to anyone. Their poor customer service and ineffective pest control measures have left me deeply dissatisfied. Save yourself the headache and look elsewhere for your pest control needs. read more

If there is anything less than a one star, they deserve it. In my experience with Corky's, they have one of the worst customer service ever. I read a lot of reviews for Corky's and decide to ignore it because they were cheaper than others. Anyways, I asked for a fumigation tent to be put on a Friday and taken down on a Sunday. I told them I would be gone on Wednesday so I asked where they would like me to place the key. They told me to place it safely in the back of my house in a very secure place. On Thursday night, my neighbor called me while I was in Colorado that two suspicious looking people were in my yard after 9pm. I told them to call the police and they did. The police came minutes later but they were gone. I came back on Sunday only to find items were missing from my house, foot prints and stain everywhere, and trash all over the floor. I contacted Corky's about it and they told me they never heard of such things and that their technician are professional and would never do anything like that. The lady I spoke to was very rude and obnoxious. She should never work in the field of customer service. All I can do is filed a police report for petty theft . Once again, this company, "Corky's" is a horrible place to do business with because they only hire criminals to work for them. If you could avoid them, please do it at all cost before it is too late. CORKY'S IS THE ABSOLUTE WORST COMPANY OF ALL GENERATIONS!!! read more

Corkys Pest Control, What Can I Say They DId and AMAZING Job Taking Care of My Spider Problem Due to the Fact that I love Having Rose Bushes, and Foliage Which of Course Attracts Bees, Spiders, and Other Critters. I hate Spiders and I absolutely Can Not Stand, Bee's Grose. So I called Them up Not Sure What to Expect, well Did you Know that they Beat the Competitors Price All of There Service's? They are Extremely Reasonable, and They took Care of my bee problem in one whole day. Know I have there Regular Annual Gauranteed Svc, Where they Come Every 6 Weeks and Spray My Property For All the Bugs and they even do the inside for a very low amount. We are having them come give a termite inspection of our home as well next week. Can Say enough Good Things About them, and I cant wait to start Reffering Customer's. Now I want to comment on the exceptional service I received for a termite problem. When I was having a carpet seam redone the man found subterreanen termites in the powder room in the middle of the house! Technician Mark Higgins did a great job. He had to drill more than halfway areound the house as it is all concrete. On the tile on the front porch he was very careful and did the drilling where the corners of the tile met so there was no breaking of the tiles. He then filled the holes after injecting the poison. Technician Oscar Lopez did a radar check of the house to find any dry wood termites. One whole day in the attic which is all unpainted wood, another day inside the rooms and the last day on the outside. This procedure is in lieu of tenting. Oscar then sprayed or injected into the wood where he discovered termites. He also painted the drilled spaces on the Sundek coating across the back of the house and on the patio. Oscar would also explain in detail what he was doing and answered all my questions. Both techs were very pleasant and hard working and I was very pleased that this job was completed without a problem. Termites are terrible, invisible creatures that can cause a lot of damage and I am happy they are not here any more! read more

I grew up in SD thinking ants in the house were more or less a part of life. So I put off getting an exterminator when they started showing up in my house. Eventually my wife couldn't take it anymore and I got Corky's after having their number tattooed on my brain from watching and listening to Padres games. They came in, and didn't even use the Ghostbusters gear. They just mixed up a little spray bottle and asked where we see ants. I was kind of skeptical. A squirt here and there, and they were done. Hard to believe I paid 150-some odd dollars for that, until the next day. Never saw another ant in the following year or so we lived in that house. So when we bought a new house, we saw that the ants had already set up shop. We got Corky's to come before we moved in. This time they did use the Ghostbusters tank, but that's neither here nor there. We have lived in the house for about three and a half years and we still don't have ants. I was so sold I paid for them to go to my parents' house (where I had grown up accepting ants as mentioned earlier). It has been probably a couple of years and they are still ant-free. I thoroughly recommend Corky's. Our next door neighbor, and us, had a flea infestation - though neither of us had owned pets (while everyone else in the street had no fleas though they own multiple pets). Unexplainable as to how they came to propagate from a shared nice piece of front lawn (other than its the only nice lawn in the street - thus dog walkers stop there). Corky's listened to the problem - didn't go off half-cocked as if it knew our situation - and treated accordingly. They came on time, used the best products for the job, and we were left with no fleas after just one treatment. Corkey's returned for the scheduled retreatment - and all would have been fine in between except that our neighbor's treatment by Orkin was not working - and fleas kept running away from the Orkin treatment over onto our grass/driveway where they were then carried into our house and car. Corky's returned for one last follow up and doused the little devils - now all gone. Unlike my neighbor's Orkin guy, Corky's didn't try to apportion blame. They were mindful of our gardens. I wouldn't trust Corky's Pest Control with a fly swatter, let alone my elderly mother's well-being. Their recent service call was an absolute disgrace. They sent technicians to my mother's home for a simple task: covering the attic air vents. The entire job took less than 30 minutes. For this minimal effort, Corky's charged her over $800. It's clear they took advantage of my mother's age and assumed she wouldn't question their outrageous price. This is predatory business practice at its worst. There's absolutely no justification for such an exorbitant fee, especially considering the brevity of the service. While I understand pest control can involve hazardous materials, using that as an excuse to fleece an elderly customer is inexcusable. If you have a loved one who needs pest control services, avoid Corky's like the plague they claim to control. There are honest and reputable companies out there who won't exploit the vulnerable. I will never do business with this company again! They were supposed to show at my house between the hours of 7am and 10am on a Tuesday. They didn't show. They said the tech showed but, I never heard him knock. My front door was open and I was in the front room. If he knock it wasn't very hard and not at the front door! I called to inquire where the tech was. The operator replied, "Oh, you weren't home and we only had you scheduled for exterior service." I was very unhappy with this news because, my large kitchen had to have everything off the floor, out of ALL the cupboards, and cleared every counter. Plus every room in the house needed to have all the furniture removed from the walls, baseboards and all items removed from the floor. They discounted the service, apologized for the mix up, and rescheduled me for that Friday. They didn't show again!!!!!! That Friday was my daughters prom and we were not able to take pictures in my home. I WAS THERE AND WAITING! To have my home turned upside down for a week, unable to cook and carry on daily life was difficult. Never again! read more

I am surprised to see negative reviews here. In the past few years, I have only had good things to say about Corkys --- and that is because of their technician,Daniel Ramos. He is always pleasant, smiling and friendly. He is so easy to talk to and he listens very closely if we are having any issues, first to analyze the problem and then to come up with the best solutions. I get squeamish around bugs or rodents and Daniel is so understanding of that. He removed a poor dead gofer from our yard without blinking an eye --- meanwhile just the sight of it gave me the heebie jeebies!! Daniel has also given me sound advice on how to ensure bugs stay out of the house. Whenever I have had any questions that required him to check with his office, he always followed up with me as promised. He is also very reliable about scheduling, always trying his best to coordinate a time so that I can be here to provide access to our backyard area. We have quarterly pest control service with Corkys and I can say that Daniel is the reason why we stick with this company. read more

We have lived in our home for over four years and never seemed to have a big bug problem. I have a neighbor that recently re-planted his entire back yard with imported plants that came complete with very invasive ants. when he watered them they came running out of everywhere. I have seen ants before, But nothing like these. They just appear out of nowhere no trails, Nothing. They just appear out of nowhere. We live in Rancho San Luis Rey Mobile Home Park. I have seen Corky's in the park and contacted a lot of my neighbors for their input. Everyone I talked to were very satisfied with their service and the results. Most of the people that I talked to have been using Corky's for years. I called them in the morning and I had a technician come over at 4:00 PM. My Field Representatives name is Terry Warner. He was prompt, informative, courteous, friendly, and efficient. I waited for a while before writing this review and am satisfied that I no longer have an ant problem. Unfair, dishonest, and crooked. I didn't want to write them this review because it wouldn't let me give them anything lower than a 1-star. They deserve a -10 for horrible customer service and falsifying information. I called them to do a termite inspection not knowing that this was the biggest mistake of my life. One of their field rep came to my house in Ocean Beach and did an inspection. About 10 minutes later, he told me my house needed to be tented from termite infestation. I said I don't want to do anything yet until I get another inspection done by another company. The guy asked me to sign some kind of paper and said it was for him coming here. I signed. One month later, a bill arived in my mailbox saying I owe them $250 for not having a fumigation done. I called them and discussed about the issue but they say there's nothing they can do about it. BEWARE of these scam artist. They will trick you to signing things and try to make you pay for the no service they give you. AVOID them at all costs... read more

I had used a different pest control service originally and was extremely dissatisfied with them. Contacted Corky's and they had a technician out the next day to check things out and get started. Extremely knowledgeable and willing to answer all of my questions (and I asked a LOT of them). We discussed rats and their habits and different ways to control their access and where they might reside when they aren't under my mobile home. Although he was there for rats in a existing mobile home that I just purchased he spotted some fresh termite damage that I hadn't noticed so I'll get that taken care of too. Technician actually showed up early but I was about 30 seconds behind him so everything worked out fine! I'm purchasing a trail camera so we can find out what else moved in under the trailer and monitor if the rats are actually still trying to get under the mobile home or if their entry points have now all been blocked. We received excellent service from Corky's in May 2015: they showed up on time for both the inspection and the service. Marco was professional and courteous. After having Marco conduct the inspection I requested he also do the service and Corky's complied. We had heat treatment in the attic and radiation treatment on the rest of the home, both for termites. The service was scheduled a couple of weeks out. A slot opened up earlier and Corky's called us to see if we would like the earlier spot. When Marco and the other service man was inside our home, each wore booties to protect our carpet (without us asking them to do so). Corky's spent two days at our home and were respectful the entire time, both of our property and us. We saw Marco inspect/treat all of our eaves (as well as many other parts of our home) and he seemed to care as though he was treating his own home. We would definitely request Marco again. read more

We have been customers of Corky's for at least 10 years. We live in the middle of a 5 acre citrus grove and had quite a problem with mice. It is amazing how effective their service has and still is in containing and reducing our mice population ! Pete has been really great about telling us which areas were worse, if the problem seemed to be growing and what we needed to do to make things more affective . It has been a very positive experience and also educational. At times if Pete was not available the other technicians have been just as informed and effecient in doing their job. Some years back a new neighbor moved in just north of us and found that their place was filled with mice ! We referred them to Corky's and they have been very pleased also. We continue to have monthly inspections and use of the boxes that contain the pesticide for the mice. I would not call any other company. read more
