Dan came out to expertly and efficiently take measurements and offer the estimate. After accepting the bid, it was easy to schedule the fumigation and they even worked around our changing schedule and the rainy weather. Laura, Dan's wife, hand delivered our fumigation bags/materials since they live locally in Escondido. The fumigation process did break some of our concrete roof tiles, so keep in mind that you may need to take them up on their roof repair insurance offer which, at $500, is not unreasonably priced. This can be added on after the service is complete and it is known whether tiles were broken. Dan, Laura, and their team are a hidden gem in the world of Termites & Fumigation. Very few people know that when you have termites and look up a company to come take care of them, you are calling on and getting an "inspecting" company who, no matter who they are, even the big dogs, sub-contract to an agency if the house needs to be tented(tenting is good to have done every 10 or so years out here anyway). So you go from paying a fee to have it tented, plus the inspector mark up, plus usually an added "warranty" for something they cannot prevent. Well I was fortunate enough to find Fumigation Direct, Dan came out, verified the area to be tented along with the termite damage, then he beat two prior estimates (without knowing their pricing) I had gotten from companies who again where going to sub-contract, by a substantial amount. I paid additional to make sure all tiles were fixed that got broke during the process. They send an actual roofer out a couple days after who did repairs correctly, replacing cracked tiles and fixing the chipped, btw only 7 broke, (not like a lot of the solar companies who will "glue" cracked tiles back together). As for termite damage I did this myself (look up/youtube a product called Woodepox/Liquidwood) but if you're not capable, I am sure Dan has a recommendation or does it themselves. Laura was amazing at explaining the process to us, kept me up to date with what was going on, even scheduled SDG&E to come out turn off, then on the gas. For our recent home purchase, we had a quote in hand for termite repair work and fumigation, so we had numbers we could use for comparison. We really were only concerned about getting the house tented, as I was planning on doing the termite damage repair myself. Fumigation Direct did indeed save us $500.
