First glance: Cool busy little breakfast/brunch spot on the water. Busy but not to loud inside. Opted for outdoor patio, even though it was kinda cold. The server made to our table promptly and took our drink order. Shortly after she took our food order. The food came out pretty quick for how busy it was, and it was executed well. Had to try the #1 restaurant in Gig Harbor based on Trip Advisor. Devoted Kiss is a quaint cafe located on the Harbor. Lucked out with no wait for a Wednesday lunch. Couldn't decide so I ordered the 1/2 eggs Benedict and 1/2 corn beef hash - delicious! I absolute love going to devoted kiss café on the weekends! Every single time the servers are so kind. The food is very fresh and delicious. They have amazing views from inside the café. I love getting a coffee while waiting and walking down the street to take in the view. The wait was about 25 minutes to eat inside but that's what to expect during the lunch hour rush. I'm guessing that's true, maybe that's how it always is. (???) Once we were seated we ordered and the food came pretty quickly. We were actually surprised given the number of people in the restaurant. We decided to order the two sandwiches (Rueben and the turkey and pepper jack panini) hen split them. To our great joy they did it for us. We also order the side of potatoes salad and pretzel chips and hummus. The Rueben meat was thick, very tender and literally melted in your mouth, the sourdough bread was toasted to perfect and the sauerkraut was fresh. What's important is that every bite had the right balance of all the ingredients. The Turkey and Pepper Jack panini was a masterpiece of flavors. How do you taste in every bite Salsalito Turkey, peppered bacon, avocado, roasted red peppers and pepper Jack cheese with cilantro lime mayo on sourdough bread? Not sure...but we both kept saying yum, yum as each of the ingredients exploded in our mouths. We enjoyed this place so much last year when we where in Gig Harbor that we stopped back in on this trip. It was as good as we remembered. Since they have gluten free bread, I was able to get whatever I wanted. Although, there could be cross contamination (I didn't get sick this time or last).. This time around I chose Devo's Favorite. It was filled with ham, peppered bacon, smoked Gouda, avocado, pesto and chipotle mayo with any style eggs. It was delightful. My husband had the DKC biscuit -wich which he said was equally delectable. All the staff is attentive and friendly. The view of the water from our table was beautiful. I have been here about 5 times. I love that it is on the water and it's a breakfast place in gigharbor, which is hard to find. There is so much potential for this place. The first few times we went the food was ok, and the service was so, so. The past few times it seems the food has diminished and the service has gotten bad. We usually order breakfast and it seems the food is never cooked all the way. Hard or oil soaked potato's. Cold toast. Rude servers who push you out early. This last time we were there at 2pm and they close at 3pm and they were pushing us out at 230, giving us dirty looks because we were paying customers. Sad to see a place with potential go downhill. read more

We moved to Seattle 4 months ago from Texas and this is by far the best food we've had since moving. I'm a breakfast snob and all I have to say is BACON, BACON, BACON! Bacon is such and easy way to skimp on cost but they don't at all. The bacon is thick and perfectly cooked and plenty of it. I got the biscuit sandwich and I would get it again if we came back tomorrow. Everything is fresh and so well priced. Pro tip. Ask for the potato's crispy. Service was quick and with views of the harbor it's worth any wait for a seat. 10 out of 10. Will take friends and family here when they visit. read more

This might be my favorite breakfast spot in the greater Tacoma Area. It has been a while since I have visited, but on my first return trip I was so happy with the meal, coffee, and environment of this spot. Its a great location. Parking is not perfect, but living in Tacoma I have experienced many worst parking situations. You will either get lucky and find a spot right off the bat or have to drive a bit away and find something with a decent walk, but if its sunny like it was this weekend you wont mind walking along the water front to enjoy a delicious breakfast. I ordered the biscuit sandwich and it was amazing. From top to bottom it was absolutely delicious. I could not recommend enough, but honestly I would say the same about every meal here. We have never had a bad breakfast. If you are in the Tacoma area I could not recommend enough. I just love this spot for breakfast so much! This was my second time here and once again I can say they make one of the best breakfast sandwiches I've ever had. I ordered Devo's Favorite (a phenomenal breakfast sandwich with plentiful meat, cheese, medium egg, avocado, pesto, chipotle mayo, perfectly cooked) with a side of tomato and hollandaise and their scrumptious potatoes. My husband ordered the smoked salmon omelet which came with beautiful fresh ingredients, goat cheese galore, tomato, all so delicious. Make reservations as they fill up quickly! We went around 8:15am on a Thursday and every table was filled (we had reservations, made early Thursday morning). Another thing I really appreciate about this spot is their hours! My favorite breakfast spot in the harbor. It is such a beautiful spot to sit out on their patio in the summer on the water and enjoy the views. The servers are always so kind even when it gets super busy inside. The food is super fresh and delicious. My go-to is the ham and egg croissant or the Belgian waffle but you cant go wrong with anything on their menu. You will wait 30 minutes minimum for a mediocre meal at best, but then again, There's not many options in gig harbor so I understand, this is probably the best in town. I wanted a hearty meal, so I got: *mimosa: on the sweeter side, couldn't really taste the alcohol. *scratch biscuits and gravy ($13.95): I have no baseline for what good biscuits and gravy tastes like since this was my first experience with the dish, but I really, really liked this! The gravy was creamy, the biscuit was soft and buttery, and the overeasy eggs on top binded the two perfectly. *candied pecan and craisin scone ($3.50): fluffy and moist, didn't need extra powdered sugar at all. I appreciated that the craisins stayed juicy and plump. I really wanna try their other scones in the future! All in all, I was more than pleased with this meal, and the staff were cheerful too.
