Oh wow! This breakfast is a hidden gem in Gig Harbor. Everything we ordered was really good. And the portions are huge. We ordered the biscuits and gravy, clam chowder, and sour dough pancake. I will definitely come back for all 3 dishes. It was too hard to pick a favorite. And their homemade hot sauces is a must purchase. I had to purchase a couple bottles for myself. The service was also super fast. The staff were super friendly and attentive.

Saw this as highly recommended on Yelp so we stopped by around midday on the weekend. They are brunch-ish restaurant. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The majority of the seating is outside on the patio which sits not just ON the water but OVER the water - very cool.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]The indoor seating is minimal.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]They do include heaters with the outdoor tables but they are randomly situated so you just luck out or you don't depending where you are are seated. The heat does NOT spread.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]And it's a bit windy on the patio, as one might imagine, being that it is right on top of the wharf - that is just a side effect of wharfside dining nearly always.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]], [[HIGHLIGHT]]There are umbrellas for the tables to keep off the sun and for the most part very few flying critters (thanks to that pesky breeze maybe).[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Service. I would have liked to see more smiles. It almost seems to be a directive from management that none of the staff smile. There are some spots in the U.S. that like to foster a Parisian vibe with their wait staff and maybe this is one. Now, don't get me wrong - they were very professional, they were getting the job done, just personally, smiles. A few excuse me's and pardon me's work wonders as well. One of the staff brushed past me in the doorway (touching) and said NOTHING. Food. Fantastic. Everything we ordered was on point.

Rio Scramble and the Mushroom Frittata
    Lauren P.

I've been to Netshed twice this summer, both times for breakfast/brunch. They don't take reservations and it seems that they can get pretty busy on a weekend morning. If you are looking for a traditional breakfast (or anything close to that) you won't find it here. Most of the menu items are interesting takes on breakfast/brunch. I've had the mushroom frittatas and the rio grande scramble, both quite flavorful (chimichurri on the scramble) but lacking that 'breakfast-y' vibe if you know what I mean. The frittata I initially really enjoyed until I tasted the tomato jam, which brought an unexpected eclectic sweetness to an otherwise savory dish. It's definitely just preference there. We had heard great things about the cinnamon roll skillet, expecting large rolls with with globs of icing like on their website photo. We were pretty disappointed with dry rolls that tasted like they'd been sitting out for a while. Definitely bummed about that. The wording on the menu is cute and "punny", making the menu fun to read. The service was also great both times. The servers were super nice and prompt. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The coffee is also delicious, as well as the incredible view on the back patio.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

    Turkey Croque Madame
    Maureen M.

I'm just not a fan of the menu. Hard to find an entree that didn't include deli meat or eggs. I settled on the Turkey Croque Madame. A little disappointing - honestly, the turkey tasted like something out of an Oscar Meyer package. Lots of gooey cheesy white bread, bacon & an egg on top. That said, the service was excellent, and the back deck has a nice view. Next time we'll return to Devoted Kiss Cafe.

Basic breakfast (ordered sides to get here)

Whenever someone comes to visit, I HAVE to take them to Netshed. Not only is the location perfect, perched right on the water with active seals in the bay, but the food is SO good! I always get the French toast, it's always fresh and filling. I would recommend paying the $2 (or whatever it is) to split this with someone. Also, they do a great cranberry mimosa. Sure, the line can be long on Sunday mornings but that wait is worth it!

Clam chowder & turkey madame croque

Wow! Amazing. The turkey madame is a must try! The service is amazing everyone is so kind and welcoming. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The ambiance is perfection - so Washington[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Will definitely be back! This is genuinely my top 3 finds in Washington state for food

Every Rating should be 5 stars…read more I ordered the Bacon Cheddar Burger, and it was exceptional. The beef was perfectly seasoned and juicy, but the real standout was the quality of the toppings. The bacon was thick-cut and crispy, providing that essential smoky crunch without overpowering the sharp, melted cheddar. Everything is served on a fresh bun that actually holds up to the last bite. The Fries: You can't skip the sides here. The fries were hot, golden, and seasoned to perfection--exactly what you want to pair with a heavy hitter like the Bacon Cheddar. The Vibe: The atmosphere is welcoming and unpretentious, making it the perfect spot whether you're a local or just passing through the harbor. The service was prompt and friendly, even during the lunch rush. Final Verdict: It's rare to find a place that nails the "gourmet" aspect without losing the soul of a classic burger. If you are in Gig Harbor, this is a mandatory stop. I'll definitely be back to work my way through the rest of the menu!

We left there early and by the time we reached Gig Harbor we were most certainly in the mood for breakfast. We were informed that there was a wait but it wasn't a bad one and the restaurant looked highly enticing so we put our names on the list. When we were called we sat at the bar. Which was fine... we weren't about to be choosey. We ordered our food and we enjoyed immensely when we got it. I got a waffle with strawberries and cream which was amazing! The waffle was perfection, the fruit was fresh. Just wonderful! I also saw breakfast potatoes and they looked great too so I ordered some of those too. No big surprise... they were excellent! Steve and I both got a Bloody Mary and it was so good! It had a nice, spicy kick to it and was great! Some mornings call for a Bloody Mary and this one fit the bill nicely! Steve got a great tasting omelet and he had no complaints either! It's definitely worth the wait to get a table... not a shred of doubt with that.

We usually bring snacks or picnics when paying our respects as my dad was a big foodie. It was pretty dead in the restaurant since it was around 5pm, so we didn't have to wait long for takeout. Not that I expect servers to be too attentive for takeout customers, but since it was so slow, a little banter or seeing if we want a glass of water while waiting would have been nice since it was a really hot day. Not sure if service would have been better if we dined in or not. As far as food went, my husband who isn't as picky about barbecue was really satisfied. He got the coffee brisket and I was surprised how strong the coffee flavor was. I'm not a coffee drinker at all so it was prevalent to me, whereas my husband who does drink coffee said he couldn't taste it. So the verdict of whether the coffee flavor is strong or not might need more tasters! :p the ribs were the best for sure! We both loved them and they definitely were tender! Would go back for those if we're in the area. Finally, the Mac Daddiest was really good and a pretty good portion. In general, the portions were generous and there was enough food for us to enjoy two meals out of it!

I haven't seen the usual setup, but I'm assuming there's usually tables and chairs in the middle. THE FOOD: - Kitchen is currently closed, but outside food is more than welcome. Snack foods (chips, peanuts, similar) available at register. THE CIDERS: - I had a flight and they were all amazing. Standouts were: vanilla bean (sweet but not too sweet; light, refreshing, true vanilla flavor) and dark maple (not saccharine sweet; just on the edge with a dryness and truly outstanding flavor... dangerously delicious). - I kept expecting all of them to be overly sweet; but they all kept surprising me. Watermelon was another favorite. SERVICE: - Quick and kind with a smile. You'll love the vibes. SIDE NOTES: - We traveled from the Seattle area as Locust Cider had the Winchester Mystery House pinball machine on loan for the weekend. Only 500 were made, and this is currently the only one in the state. Your next closest is Next Level Museum in Oregon if you want to play this extraordinary machine. It's worth it! - We came on a salsa lesson night, so most pinball machines were blocked by tables. That's alright because 7 were unblocked and provided plenty of entertainment while the salsa lessons happened. - I think pinball + salsa music + sipping refreshing ciders is the new best way to enjoy a Saturday night. My favorites turned out to be (surprisingly) their seasonal Chai and their Honey Pear, but each one that I tasted was unique and flavorful. I felt the intentionality in each one. They have a full food menu that includes gluten free tater tots and chicken nuggets. Service was awesome, by the way. Two of the kegs we wanted to try had blown, so the bartender brought us a few extra pours for having to wait. I'm super bummed that I never made it back for a second visit.
