Oh wow! This breakfast is a hidden gem in Gig Harbor. Everything we ordered was really good. And the portions are huge. We ordered the biscuits and gravy, clam chowder, and sour dough pancake. I will definitely come back for all 3 dishes. It was too hard to pick a favorite. And their homemade hot sauces is a must purchase. I had to purchase a couple bottles for myself. The service was also super fast. The staff were super friendly and attentive.

Saw this as highly recommended on Yelp so we stopped by around midday on the weekend. They are brunch-ish restaurant. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The majority of the seating is outside on the patio which sits not just ON the water but OVER the water - very cool.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]The indoor seating is minimal.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]They do include heaters with the outdoor tables but they are randomly situated so you just luck out or you don't depending where you are are seated. The heat does NOT spread.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]And it's a bit windy on the patio, as one might imagine, being that it is right on top of the wharf - that is just a side effect of wharfside dining nearly always.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]], [[HIGHLIGHT]]There are umbrellas for the tables to keep off the sun and for the most part very few flying critters (thanks to that pesky breeze maybe).[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Service. I would have liked to see more smiles. It almost seems to be a directive from management that none of the staff smile. There are some spots in the U.S. that like to foster a Parisian vibe with their wait staff and maybe this is one. Now, don't get me wrong - they were very professional, they were getting the job done, just personally, smiles. A few excuse me's and pardon me's work wonders as well. One of the staff brushed past me in the doorway (touching) and said NOTHING. Food. Fantastic. Everything we ordered was on point.

Rio Scramble and the Mushroom Frittata
    Lauren P.

I've been to Netshed twice this summer, both times for breakfast/brunch. They don't take reservations and it seems that they can get pretty busy on a weekend morning. If you are looking for a traditional breakfast (or anything close to that) you won't find it here. Most of the menu items are interesting takes on breakfast/brunch. I've had the mushroom frittatas and the rio grande scramble, both quite flavorful (chimichurri on the scramble) but lacking that 'breakfast-y' vibe if you know what I mean. The frittata I initially really enjoyed until I tasted the tomato jam, which brought an unexpected eclectic sweetness to an otherwise savory dish. It's definitely just preference there. We had heard great things about the cinnamon roll skillet, expecting large rolls with with globs of icing like on their website photo. We were pretty disappointed with dry rolls that tasted like they'd been sitting out for a while. Definitely bummed about that. The wording on the menu is cute and "punny", making the menu fun to read. The service was also great both times. The servers were super nice and prompt. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The coffee is also delicious, as well as the incredible view on the back patio.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

    Turkey Croque Madame
    Maureen M.

I'm just not a fan of the menu. Hard to find an entree that didn't include deli meat or eggs. I settled on the Turkey Croque Madame. A little disappointing - honestly, the turkey tasted like something out of an Oscar Meyer package. Lots of gooey cheesy white bread, bacon & an egg on top. That said, the service was excellent, and the back deck has a nice view. Next time we'll return to Devoted Kiss Cafe.

Whenever someone comes to visit, I HAVE to take them to Netshed. Not only is the location perfect, perched right on the water with active seals in the bay, but the food is SO good! I always get the French toast, it's always fresh and filling. I would recommend paying the $2 (or whatever it is) to split this with someone. Also, they do a great cranberry mimosa. Sure, the line can be long on Sunday mornings but that wait is worth it!

Clam chowder & turkey madame croque

Wow! Amazing. The turkey madame is a must try! The service is amazing everyone is so kind and welcoming. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The ambiance is perfection - so Washington[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Will definitely be back! This is genuinely my top 3 finds in Washington state for food

We left there early and by the time we reached Gig Harbor we were most certainly in the mood for breakfast. Apparently lots of other people did to and also it must frequently that idea in town as it was quite busy. We were informed that there was a wait but it wasn't a bad one and the restaurant looked highly enticing so we put our names on the list. When we were called we sat at the bar. Which was fine... we weren't about to be choosey. We ordered our food and we enjoyed immensely when we got it. I got a waffle with strawberries and cream which was amazing! The waffle was perfection, the fruit was fresh. Just wonderful! I also saw breakfast potatoes and they looked great too so I ordered some of those too. No big surprise... they were excellent! Steve and I both got a Bloody Mary and it was so good! It had a nice, spicy kick to it and was great! Some mornings call for a Bloody Mary and this one fit the bill nicely! Steve got a great tasting omelet and he had no complaints either! It's definitely worth the wait to get a table... not a shred of doubt with that.

Extra bonus points that it's in Proctor - my favourite stomping ground. I got there not too long after they opened and about half of the tables were already taken. I found a place at the bar and was quickly greeted. I didn't see a drink menu, so I figured a mimosa is the obvious choice. They also have apple and grapefruit juice so you can mix it up a bit! For breakfast I went with the Mediterranean Veggie Hash, which was excellent! Good ratios of all the ingredients and I will absolutely be eating another one! It seems like this is one of those places that you're going to want to get to early - by the time I was leaving it was a full house with no seating left!

Took everyone's drink order but mine. When she came back I asked if there were adult drinks. There are no drinks listed anywhere in the menu. When our food came I asked for butter.... butter never came. She checked on us 20 mins later and I just gave her my card. She came back with the credit card slip to sign and my copy. There was no itemized receipt so I dont know exactly what I paid for but I assume $134 for 5 people sounded about right I gave 4 stars cause the food made up for it... or atleast my dish did! French toast was nice and fluffy. The syrup tasted like a caramel/maple mix. Goodm but too sweet toward the end Blueberry pancakes were nice and fluffy 6oz steak and eggs was the winner. Your choice of bread. Comes with hasbrowns. The steak was cooked medium which was fine. The sauce on the steak is what got me. There was pesto, shredded cheese and some type of ketchup/may/ maybe Sriracha mix. But it was REALLY tasty. Southwest hash - great portion. Has brown postion was nice and crispy. They were very busy. It was father's day. So im sure it was just an off day with the service. Would definitely try again The only suggestion i would make would be to put the items that dont fit on the main plate, on a smaller plate. These tables have limited room. So giving each patron 2 large plates (one for french toast and an equally large plate for eggs and bacon) took up a lot of room on a 4 person table where you sat 5

Our waiter, Mark, was incredibly attentive -- checking in regularly, keeping drinks topped off, and making sure we had everything we needed without ever feeling rushed. Exactly the kind of hospitality that makes a meal memorable. We started with the Guacamole Sampler -- Traditional, Carlito's Way, and Austin Style -- served with warm housemade chips and their signature salsa. Every style had its own personality, and the flavors were spot‑on across the board. A fantastic way to kick off the meal. For my entrée, I went with the Seasonal Al Pastor Tamales, and wow... this dish is a true taste of the south. The ancho, guajillo, and achiote citrus slow‑roasted pork was rich and tender, perfectly balanced by cumin black beans, pickled pineapple, white onion, and serrano salsa. Every bite had depth, heat, and brightness. My wife ordered the Smoked Chicken Tomatillo Soup -- hominy, red bell peppers, carrots, onions, chipotle, buttermilk crema, cilantro, and blue corn tortilla strips. Served with fresh housemade sopes, it was comforting, flavorful, and beautifully layered. A perfect bowl for any season. We also shared the Navajo Fry Bread -- honestly, this should be listed under desserts. Warm, soft, slightly sweet, and absolutely delicious. The overall vibe was relaxed and inviting. It can get a bit noisy -- especially for someone like me who's hard of hearing -- but the energy is still warm and enjoyable. Cactus never disappoints. From the kitchen to the front‑of‑house, the team consistently delivers great food, great service, and a great experience. Hats off to the cooks and staff for another fantastic visit. We'll definitely be back.
