I went in advance to look at some spaces. I had booked 3 separate small storages (5x15) & it ended up that I only needed a 10x15 & one 5x15. My goods arrived on a pallet, so we adjusted since the pallet did not fit through the 5x15 units. Carressa, the manager, quickly showed me another unit & changed the paperwork accordingly. It was smooth. Very professional & helpful. I loved the idea of the locks being pre-programmed for me, at no extra charge. The best part of the deal is, it's only just across the street for me. I find it really shocking that I was charged a 27% increase on my unit for no reason or explanation. I called three times and left messages right after I was charged, as I thought it was an error on their end. I talked to Kyle and asked him why I was charged, and I was not notified by phone or email. Kyle said he would send in a complaint about it to corporate after our lengthy conversation, but it was not even done. I also told him because of the addition of $50 a month I would be leaving asap. I was sent a copy of the PDF increase 30 days after the increase was charged to my account. It shows on the PDF that they give their customers a 3-day notice for a 27% increase, which was $50 over my monthly payment. A 3-day notice, so their customers may not have an opportunity to make a decision to stay or leave. I have been waiting for a call or response but did not receive any communication from anyone at this location in this matter until I called back to confirm I already moved from this location. Sad that this company has to do this to make money by putting people in a difficult position of having to move or forced to pay this ridiculous increase. I will never use your company again and will share my experience with everyone I can, so they do get forced to make a decision like I had to. Again, it is really sad that this company has to take advantage of their own customers to make extra money. All together, it is a wrong and unethical practice. I can't imagine doing that to anyone in my business.

When I went to empty out the unit, I found dirt all over every horizontal surface and water damage for items that rested on the floor. One item, a lovely entry table, molded and the wood swelled and began to rot. A rug had to go in the trash. The mattress has to be disposed of too. The storage management said there was nothing they could do for me since I didn't get the extra insurance. Their unit floods and rains dirt on my belongings and they don't seem to want to even try to make it right. Be warned! Choose another storage location.

I have had several storage units over the years at different places. Armored Self Storage, is the absolute best I have ever done business with. They always go out of their way to help you . The staff and the owner are such nice people. The facility is clean and they provide trolleys to take from your vehicle to your unit . Please make sure to return them inside. The Very best thing is, it is air-conditioned inside. It is actually nice and cool and they play nice music over the PA SYSTEM. The great thing about having air-conditioned storage, is that your items don't get ruined ,they don't get cooked in 120° heat . You can even rent a moving van from them . So you can bring your things to the storage unit if you need to. At one time I had rented 3 units at once. The more you have rented, the better rate they will give you. I rented from them for about seven years . I had payments taken from my card each month. It was hassle free. If you live in Tempe or the area ,and you need storage . I believe this is the best place you'll find .

They went out of their way to offer help, sometimes before I even had to ask! The manager is who I saw most often and he remembered me by name and my unit number. He asked about the friends and roommates I had that had visited there with me asked how they were doing and stuff even if he had only seen them with me and never spoke to them directly! I was blown away by how personalized our interactions were and it made me feel a lot safer somehow. When we were first getting the unit he broke down the agreement into simple easy to understand terms, explained all the policies/fees in depth, and still got the whole process done and the keys in my hand in less than 15 minutes. The place is air conditioned and temperature controlled. There is a huge freight-sized elevator with covered/lightly padded walls to take you to each floor. They have free mattress dollies, carts and furniture dollies you can use for free, no questions asked, as long as you put them away. The building and every hallway was always always clean, no Trash, no dust, nothing just laying around. The bathroom is large but only one person can use it at a time. It was always clean and well stocked and never really had a bad smell. You can make your payments online, (with no extra fee!) which is a big plus to me since I would hate to have to drive down there every month to pay in person. We never saw any bugs, mice or, other vermin anywhere at all on the property. When I got my things unpacked, I double-checked and there were no bugs anywhere. Not even silverfish or crickets! There is a soda vending machine, a water fountain and they also sell bottled water if you forgot to bring a drink. My only complaint is that I wish they were open for more hours especially on weekends, at least until 9 like the majority of businesses in the valley, but I get it. They have a small staff. They are open 7 days a week which is awesome! We had one really bad day on move in and we were stuck there after closing and the manager was very understanding and courteous and worked with us, not against us. At every opportunity, any time something went wrong (throughout my entire 8ish month stay), he went out of his way to be flexible and patient and try to lighten the mood. I will happily come back to this Armored Storage any time I move and will recommend to everyone I know who's looking for a secure, temp controlled place with great customer service and reasonable prices.
