This is a great unassuming steak and seafood spot in Oak Brook. Tucked in a strip mall, it's not revealed to be anything great until you walk in. It's quite large inside and really classy. Staff is super nice and on top of everything. I had the surf and turf shrimp and steak and they were amazing. Had honey carrots and asperagas risotto to go with it. Delish! Started with the gumbo and that was superb!!the person I went with got the sea bass. She didn't like it that much (liked it but not great), however I tried it and thought it was quite tasty. What a hidden gem! Tucked away on the corner of a strip of stores. The ambience is unmatched for an intimate dinner dates. The food was absolutely delicious and prepared perfectly. We had the chance to come here for the thanksgiving pre fixed meal and highly recommend. The options were plenty and the portions were filling! Reasonably priced for a filling meal and drinks! I was pleasantly surprised by Devon Seafood + Steak! When I say it was absolutely amazing! I had went here for a friend's birthday dinner and we had a time! We all ordered from the prie fixe menu. The gumbo, baby greens salad, and caesar starters were all delicious. Flavor! The entrees - salmon, miso sea bass & crab cakes were all piping hot and flavorful. My initial trip to Devon was good overall. Service was solid, both at the bar before dinner and during the meal itself. It's a comfortable place-fairly dark-and well spread out. Drink-wise, the Beast of Bourbon was excellent-the pinch of salt, along with honey and grapefruit juice were an ideal mix of tastes throughout. Dinner was enjoyable as well-the surf and turf with a 6 oz. filet and maple glazed grilled shrimp was a solid representation of both. Sides of green beans and mashed potatoes were very good versions of these staples. My wife's cauliflower gratin was a really tasty side, while the carrot cake was a top-notch version of the dessert, with shaved coconut a highlight. read more

I ordered oysters, not a part of the restaurant week options. You get 5... Tasty but I would have preferred them with more cheese and grilled a little longer. They seemed extra wet. Spicy gumbo was delicious with perfect portion of rice. Great flavor. Mixed grilled seafood. The crabcake, salmon, and potatoes was delicious. The scallop and shrimp fairly small and a pinch too much seasoning but cooked perfectly. Fresh Mixed berries for dessert. The ambiance is really nice and upscale so you're not sure how to dress but as long as you're covered up, you can go in. Staff was really nice and welcoming however we did have to wait for a minute for the hostess to come to the stand and seat us. We both decided to go with the Prix Fixe selections. We both started with lobster bisque soup that was rich, creamy and loaded with lobster flavor and bits of I had the scallops and risotto which were made perfectly and my friend had a surf & turf, with a 4 Oz filet and she chose bourbon maple shrimp. Desert was so good, we forgot to take pictures but the chocolate cake what the right height of cake, frosting and dark chocolate glaze Also, don't forget to order a pineapple martini, they actually marinate the pineapple for the vodka in house. I have to say this was a pleasant surprise. We went for a quick week day dinner because we were rushed before a school band concert. Matilde, our server, was so sweet!
