Wow STK Oakbrook! The decor and vibe here are as vibe dining as it gets. The dj spinning jams from all eras had us dancing in our seats. The very friendly host team waiting to greet us with smiles. The managers worked the room like magic making every table feel special. Daniel our server was gave us 5 star experience to brag about for weeks. Lets get into chefs world.. the bread was perfectly baked with blue cheese butter swiped on every edge and chimichurri butter for dipping. That seafood tower for two was something to feature in dining out magazine... exactly the amount for 2 to share, the shrimp was chilled to perfection with thinly sliced peppers for contrast. The crab salad was tossed with love and those scallops on taro were AMAZING! To finish off with the best cotten candy dessert display in Oakbrook, hidden was butter cake with vanilla ice cream and candied drizzles. Thank you STK Oakbrook for 5 dining experience!
My recent visit to STK Oak Brook was unfortunately disappointing, especially considering the nearly $400 bill at the end of the night. The experience started off well. We were seated immediately, and our server was decent, although nothing particularly memorable. We ordered a couple of drinks, which were actually one of the highlights of the evening. They were well-made and enjoyable. For our appetizer, we ordered the Seafood Tower for Two ($99). Although it included a variety of seafood, the entire platter was fairly underwhelming. Nothing on it was particularly memorable, and most of it was just okay. The one exception was the pastrami salmon, which was actually pretty good and probably the best item on the platter. The shrimp, however, were a major disappointment. They seemed unusually dry, almost as if they had been sitting out for a while. Considering the price, I expected much fresher seafood and a much better overall experience. I definitely would not order it again. Our entrées were the Steak Frites ($52) and the Mushroom & Truffle Tagliatelle ($63). Before ordering, our server recommended adding the peppercorn crust and suggested having Wagyu butter melted over the steak. I figured why not. What I didn't expect was to be charged $6 for the peppercorn crust and $12 for what looked like about a half tablespoon of butter. Neither addition added enough flavor to justify the extra $18.To make matters worse, I ordered my steak medium rare, but when I cut into it, it was purple and noticeably undercooked rather than having the warm red center I expected. I ended up eating about half of it and taking the rest home to finish cooking myself. That's not something you should have to do at a steakhouse, especially one charging premium prices. The Mushroom & Truffle Tagliatelle tasted good, but it was far from impressive. For a dish that prominently features truffle and costs $63, I expected a much more generous amount. There were only about four or five small pieces of truffle in the entire dish, which felt disappointing. Another issue was the wait time. It took an extremely long time for our food to arrive, and by the end of the meal I was getting pretty frustrated. Long waits can sometimes be overlooked when the food delivers, but unfortunately that wasn't the case here. For dessert, I had the lava cake, which ended up being the best part of the entire meal. It was delicious and easily the standout dish of the night. Overall, I just don't feel the experience justified the price. Had the bill been closer to $200, I might have felt differently. At nearly $400, the food quality, portion value, and service simply did not meet expectations. One thing worth noting: as we were leaving, a DJ was setting up, and I've heard the downtown Chicago location takes on a nightclub atmosphere later in the evening. It appears the Oak Brook location may be going for a similar vibe. If you're looking for a late dinner with loud music and a nightlife feel, that may appeal to you. For me, however, the overall experience wasn't worth the cost. Unfortunately, I wouldn't recommend STK Oak Brook, and I don't see myself returning. Rating: 2.5/5
I don't leave reviews often, but after our experience at STK Oakbrook, I had to make an exception. From the moment we sat down, Daniel made us feel like VIPs. He was incredibly professional, knew the menu like the back of his hand, and answered every question with complete confidence. My wife and I decided to trust all of his recommendations... and that turned out to be the best decision of the night. We chose the 3-course menu, starting with the Wagyu beef burger appetizer, jalapeño shrimp, and Caesar salad. Every bite was fantastic, but the entrées absolutely stole the show. Daniel recommended the 16 oz NY Strip for me while my wife ordered the Mushroom Pasta, and all I can say is... WOW. From the very first bite, we were blown away. The flavors were layered, rich, and perfectly balanced. Every bite seemed to reveal something new. It wasn't just a meal--it was an experience. Then came the drinks. Since Daniel hadn't missed yet, I asked him to surprise me. He recommended the Mango Margarita, and I'm not exaggerating when I say it's the best alcoholic drink I've ever had. Perfectly balanced, incredibly flavorful, and just the right amount of kick. It honestly tasted like mango heaven in a glass. As amazing as the food and drinks were, what made the evening unforgettable was the people. The atmosphere was absolutely breathtaking. My wife and I rarely get a chance to enjoy a date night, so of course we had to have our own little photo shoot. The staff happily jumped in to help us capture some incredible memories, and that level of hospitality meant more than they probably realize. We also had the pleasure of meeting Susan, and she is pure positive energy. You can immediately tell how passionate she is about her team, her guests, and making sure every single person has an exceptional experience. Leaders like Susan set the tone, and it shows throughout the entire restaurant. Whether you're celebrating an anniversary, planning a date night, hosting a corporate event, wedding reception, birthday, or simply looking for an unforgettable meal, STK Oakbrook delivers on every level. The food is phenomenal, the drinks are outstanding, the music creates the perfect vibe, the views are beautiful, and the service is genuinely world-class. Thank you, Daniel, Susan, and the entire STK Oakbrook team for giving my wife and me a night we'll be talking about for a long time. We'll absolutely be back...and we'll be bringing friends and family with us.
I was actually pretty disappointed in STK. I thought this would match the sensibly high-end restaurants that surround the Oak Brook area, but this is a place to go when you literally do not care about the actual worth of your meal. We came for happy hour and expected to stay for dinner, but after looking at the menu we decided to head elsewhere. First, the happy hour menu was extremely different than what is posted online. It was essentially wings, tater tots, potstickers, fried rice and a burger. Online there are elevated items listed. Such as short rib quesadilla, crab and corn fritters, oysters, wagyu tacos, and more. Our expectations immediately fell upon seeing that. So we glance at the dinner menu....and to preface I'm not a "cheap" person, I am entirely happy paying for something of value, but the prices don't match here. Salmon for $59? Number one, you're not in the heart of Chicago. Two, I can go across the street to Ditka's for a $29 salmon. This was everything on the menu, bumped up $20-$25 more than they should be. There are way too many other places around this area, specifically for absolutely delicious quality food that the prices here are nearly appalling. Take Perry's $24 porkchop special that's the size of your head. Just because you have a name and a location does not mean you should price gouge. I will be very surprised if this location stays open long term. The only way I see them hanging on is because of the happy hour menu, but even that needs an upgrade. The only reason I would ever return would be for the $9 martinis during happy hour. Which are normally priced at $23 - about $5 more than their competition across the street.
Listen, there is no other server in the business like MeMe. I never felt compelled to leave a review before but I need to shout how amazing she was tonight at our anniversary dinner. She had all the right things to recommend and made us feel comfortable. Please go to STK and ask for MeMe.
Went here recently for my birthday. Vibe of the restaurant is a 10/10. Service was ok. Food was amazing!! I'll definitely be back!
My husband and I were celebrating two special occasions...his birthday and our 1-year anniversary, and we had such a wonderful experience! We enjoyed the steak, salmon, Brussels sprouts, mac & cheese, asparagus, and tater tots, all at the suggestion of our server, Les, who was absolutely attentive and amazing in his own right! Our starters were delicious as well, the mini burgers and Caesar salad were definitely a hit! The manager, Susan, was also a wonderful host and helped make our experience even more enjoyable. From the food to the service, everything was fantastic. We will definitely be back, and I'll absolutely be recommending this wonderful establishment to my friends and family. Thank you for helping make our celebrations extra special!
Got a chance to check our this new location and totally loved it! It's right off of the expressway, which is great, so they're located before you get into the more congested parts of the Oakbrook area. I visited for their Steak Night America special that's $49 a person - it's literally a steal. You get a starter, a main, a side and a dessert to share between 2 people AND you can add two drinks for $20; they have 3 drinks or 3 wines you can choose from for this special. Needless to say you leave full and happy. If you haven't tried those famous STK tater tots - you must! Their Old Fashioned, which is a part of the deal, is another must try. Great location and service
Happy Hour Review! I recently visited STK Oak Brook that took over the old Michael Jordan Steakhouse with a decent size group for happy hour. I didn't make a reservation ahead of time which was no problem for them to accommodate. The hostess did still require me to provide my first and last name as well as my phone number for us to be seated. The inside had a nice aesthetic that met the steakhouse/club vibes. Music was a little loud for how empty the restaurant was but the music they played was good. Their happy hour menu offers smaller portions of classic menu dishes for $3/$6/$9. They also have $9 wine specials and all cocktails on menu for $9. The drink catch was that liquors were switched to lower quality from top shelf level. Overall the drinks and food on special did have a good variety to accommodate anyone's preference or allergy needs. For food, we got a variety of options. The group's favorites were the Crab & Corn Fritters, Crispy Calamari, Oysters, Waygu Meatballs. The best value was getting the STK Cheeseburger. The only dishes I wouldn't recommend were the tacos. For $9, the portions were extremely small which made it difficult to truly enjoy the ingredients. For drinks, our group's favorites were the Cucumber Stiletto and Dirty Pearls. We tried a number of other drinks that weren't terrible but nothing special. I would not recommend the Not Your Daddy's Old Fashioned as it tasted more like simple syrup than bourbon. Drinks had a nice presentation. As is, this was an okay experience. Beyond food and drinks, service can certainly improve. There were large gaps when our server wasn't checking in on us yet bussers were immediate to refill water and take empty plates/glasses away. It felt like we were constantly being interrupted by the wrong people. Portions are certainly small so go in knowing you need to order quite a few. Additionally, we ordered our second round of drinks which were clearly forgotten about. We waited 20 minutes as we ate before reminding our waiter. He quickly got them made but rather than comping, the manager came over to nicely explain she made sure to give us happy hour pricing.... Even though we originally ordered before happy hour ended. Very odd. At the end of our dining experience, our bill was handled off of an ipad card swipe which unelevates the experience. Our waiter gave us the member program sales pitch while also pushing to leave a good google review. While he was energetic, he came across very scripted and inauthentic. Lastly, the restrooms are located in the common area hallway rather than in the restaurant. I think STK has a great opportunity to thrive in the Oak Brook area but has some kinks to work out before they'll thrive. Tip: They offer valet but self parking is behind the restaurant. There's no clear signage so park on the main level of the garage and enter by the "Studio B" entrance.
Came here for dinner and the vibe was so fun right when we walked in. It feels more like a lounge than a typical steakhouse music, energy, and just a really good date night atmosphere. We got steak and a few sides to share and everything was cooked perfectly. Super flavorful and tender. The truffle fries were addicting and disappeared fast. Drinks were also really good and the service checked on us a lot without being annoying. If you want a steakhouse that feels a little more lively and not super quiet/formal, this is the spot. Would definitely come back for another night out.
Oakbrook has now welcomed STK Steahouse to the neighborhood. It's in the same location where Michael Jordan's restaurants was located. I love what they did to this place. Spacious, elegant decor, bright colorful decor lights, Big STK sign when you walk inside to take a quick selfie. We came on New Year Day & Happy Hour was all day while you sit at the bar. Our bartender server Mimi was outstanding. She was engaging with everyone at the bar. Humorous, professional and very attentive. The drinks were very good and the food baby was so delicious. You can't beat this happy hour menu deal on drinks and food. Great vibes, a live DJ spinning out some good music. My experience was a 10 out of 10 across the board
Me and two friend went her for the Mother's Day happy hour which was amazing! We had calamari, steak frites , corn fritters , quesadilla and more. The drinks were amazing! The ambiance is so beautiful ! Service was outstanding! I can't wait to go back again!

Restaurant is easily located off the interstate. It's a beautiful space and feels very lux. Live DJ during the week. Service was exceptional, and I enjoyed letting the bartender chose my drink. The Howl at the Moon is the smoothest espresso martini I've ever had. The marinated shrimp cocktail were absolutely giant and extremely delicious. However the other dishes I tried I felt were just hohum and didn't quite hit the mark. I also felt very crowded. Lots of larger groups were there and I felt I was dodging the staff who were trying to get things served. read more

Mixed feelings about STK Oakbrook. On Sundays they offer their brunch menu. Lucky they let us order off their normal menu. We tried the ahi tuna and the lil burgers. They were ok. I ordered a Bloody Mary which arrived after I was done eating. The description includes a rim which the drink did not have - I mentioned this to our server he could have cared less. (The rim is the best part next to the blue cheese stuffed olive) It's very loud and wasn't busy at all. Service was good - waiter recommendations were the most expensive items on the menu. Sadly - I will not be back. The check in desk is amazing friendly and full of energy. I will note for those who enjoy brunch - their servings are ample and the food looked very good. read more

Turn down the air conditioner so the customer's steaks want get cold and tuff so fast. Make sure when cooking the macaroni and cheese that it's not serve dry and flavorless. Food is not worth the price. I have eaten at many steak houses, Ocean prime, Perry, Gipson and many more. By far not my top 10. read more

We went on a Wednesday night and Elise was our server. She helped us navigate the menu and made suggestions based on what we liked. We got A LOT of food. Wagu meatballs, cesar salad, Lil brgs (little burgers), ended up getting steaks and apple pie for dessert. Their bread looked like a muffin! It was so soft with delicious flavor. The decor is very upscale and huge fake flower arrangements. Very chic/style, deco. Perfect place for date night, girls night, sitting at the bar, company meeting, lunch etc. We will be back! read more

The experience was great! The food overall was good, wasn't top notch. Pearl is definitely the girl (inside joke , she understands lol). No but seriously she made the experience worth while and I'm greatly appreciative that she made my Queen Birthday worth while! It's expensive so make sure you come with ready pockets! read more
