Bright Home Services provides INSTALLATION and set-up of your alarm system. What I liked about their service was that if you purchased your system as a whole upfront (the hardware), you remained on a month to month basis. If you decided you wanted to stop service, you could. This was not the case with other companies. They wanted you to complete your contract or pay 70% of your contract term--which I found a bit odd. Many co-workers and friends also told me that they ended up getting ring, or other self-install set-ups. I am not particularly that tech savvy. Ultimately I think the hardware, can end up being the same price roughly. However, bright home services not only brings the hardware and they install it for you. Then you can keep the hardware. They did work all over my house, were very pleasant, accommodated my work times and when I could be home, installing even later into the evening. When I had a last minute add on, they even came another day and worked through some of the bugs to get it set-up. If I had done myself, I would have just lost my patience and gave up. I am really grateful for their fast, kind service. Look forward to continued service. Also their company offers other higher end smart home functions, as well as solar panels. Pretty cool.

Alexsandr understood my concerns about there being a mix of aesthetics and practicality and took the steps to hide the wire in the wall though it was significantly more challenging. He was also able to provide consultation about his recommended placement and viewing angle. The end result? We didn't have to punch through areas of my wall that are easily seen from inside nor outside my house. He gave me a fair quote and kept to it- and I paid extra when I saw his extra dedication and time that he spent on my project. I appreciate that they work within my budget as a tenant at the property. Pretty soon, they are going to replace a couple of our older cameras, and they also updated our wiring and replaced our DVR and secured all of our components to make them much harder to tamper with. They've also been there to help us when we needed to pull up footage after a few unfortunate incidents. We were also provided with excellent signage to let folks know they are on camera 24/7. Minor complaint: The current setup doesn't allow me to view footage on my laptop or desktop since I'm on a Mac, but I am able to view on my iPhone. Hopefully there will be a fix for that in the future; pretty sure that's on the software manufacturer, not Varitec. Most of their jobs are much larger in scale than my small business requires, so I appreciate that they still support my small business and keep it safe.

I had a fairly annoying request when I reached out to Ovation AV; I had an existing TV that I wanted removed, have that TV placed into the box for the NEW TV, move the mount position on the new TV so it hangs lower, and hang up the new TV on the existing mount. They were able to come out within 2 days of me making the request for quotes on Yelp. Matt and Joe were both super friendly when they came in, offered to wear the booties that keep the house clean (which I declined), and got right to work. The entire process took a little over an hour. The old TV didn't quite fit in the styrofoam from the new TV's box, so the two of them spent some time cutting it down to size! On top of that, they ensured they vacuumed up the little pieces that inevitably get created when you touch styrofoam. On top of all that work, they came in at a super reasonable price for two people doing over an hour of work.

Mike with El Dorado alarm has now done about 4 jobs for us at our home in Folsom, totaling around…read more$12,000 worth of work. He has always been exceptionally thorough in both his work and his explanation of services. We have been %100 satisfied. On our last job, we called Mike for a blown head unit stereo receiver that powered essentially all of the television and audio in our home. He offered an appointment the next day to do the work. When he showed up, he assessed our AV situation, disconnected the receiver and opened the box for the new $1000 unit we had agreed upon to replace it. Shortly after that Mike discovered that there was a surge protector in place that neither of us was aware of. He reset it and most of the AV system came back on line. At this point Mike could have VERY easily moved forward with his work never telling me that the fix was as simple as a reset on the surge protector. The "blown" head unit was presumably still entirely healthy. Instead he called his supplier who gave him assurances that the new unit he had already unboxed could "possibly " be resold despite breaking all of its manufacturer seals and he informed me of his diagnosis. In the end I decided to upgrade to the new unit anyway, replacing a 12 year old piece of equipment, but I was really impressed with the business ethics that Mike displayed. It is often easier to do the more profitable and quicker thing for a client/customer/patient/etc., but taking the time and potential financial hit to do the RIGHT thing will earn my business again in the future.
