They didn't just mount the TV -- they handled all the moving parts: getting the Samsung and Xfinity remotes working correctly, restoring soundbar volume control, troubleshooting connection issues, and reconnecting my Apple TV. It's a setup we use to game. :) Initially we wanted to use ceiling mounts that we'd purchased, but Jay quickly discovered we had a gap between our drywall and studs that would make ceiling mounts pretty much a no-go. After discussing some awkward solutions to make those work, we went with Jay and James' recommendation that we use wall mounts. James went and got matching mounts for us and and installed them with Jay. They also offered to move the outlet up and hide the cords, but because we tend to shift furniture and change our minds a lot, we turned down the cord hiding. Jay repacked our purchased mounts so we could return them as well. We're really satisfied with the work done, the care they took at each step, and that they checked in with us at each point. This blessing being that we would save an abundance of money that would have gone towards a higher mortgage at a new home. Therefore, we figured that we would use the money to make upgrades to our home. While playing video games together, my son suggested that we turn our spare room into a "mancave." After furnishing the room with a comfortable futon, I figured that we should upgrade the 42 inch tv that currently resided in the room to something a bit bigger (so American of me). While at Best Buy waiting to pick up a new tv, I began looking at tv stands; however, most of the stands were bulky and would conflict with the minimalist approach that I was aiming for. I immediately started watching YouTube videos on how to install a TV wall mount, and came to the conclusion that it was a job that my wife and I could take on. However, when the mount arrived at our home via Amazon, we realized that we much rather prefer to have a professional install it. I immediately did a Yelp search for "tv mounters" and the results led me to Alive Entertainments owned and operated by a gentleman named Francisco. Francisco not only had perfect reviews (and the photos to showcase his work), but also had a really cool bio about his journey working with electronics (ironically I had a similar upbringing in relation to installing car audio systems in my youth). I gave Francisco a call and was able to secure a same day appointment. Leading up to the set appointment time, Francisco did a great job of communicating his status. Francisco arrived at 1:23 pm and finished the installation at 2:10 pm, which was extremely quick. It probably would have been quicker had I not bothered Francisco with questions pertaining to the installation. I'm using the word bothered; however, Francisco did not seem bothered at all to patiently answer my questions. By the attention to detail that Francisco applied to the installation, it's pretty obvious that Francisco is knowledgeable and passionate about his craft. I'm looking forward to playing video games and using our spare room for at-home workouts on those days when I cannot make it to the gym.
