When is a plant more than a plant? The answer includes a non profit providing jobs and opportunity for persons with disabilities. And to add to this highlight is the large variety of plants that are reasonably priced. Staff are friendly and helpful answering questions.

We came to look for color for the yard. Red especially. We did find a red yucca that draws Hummers. Decent yard , but not full. A Small bonus, they are a non profit , so you pay NO Sales tax. Always helps. Multiple Friendly helpers.

this place is a little gem, i was told to go here by the lovely people over at EcoGroLLC, and i'm so glad they suggested i do so! i picked up some cacti, ones that produced fruit, and just days after purchasing my pincushion cactus had cute little fruits developing. when i was there, so many friendly people greeted me, and during checkout Bruce was such a pleasure to talk to! i was lookin to grow some black sapote, but he suggested i get white since it can handle the weather here better, and, man, am i glad he did! i've got a little white sapote tree in my backyard along with the cacti i bought. ill be returning again for canyon grape, fig, and persimmon trees!

My favorite place to buy plants! All are native to the Sonoran Desert and it's a nonprofit that aids children.

This is my favorite place to go when I want to buy plants for my yard. The people that work here are knowledgeable about each species. All plants here are native to the Sonoran desert. Also this is a not-for-profit organization that benefits children. The plants are sustainably and organically harvest and they do not need much water and more likely to survive compared to anything you can buy at the large chain stores with plant nurseries.

I saw many things that are on my list to procure on a day when I can talk with someone. Friendly, but not pushy employees give you storage to browse. No prices to be seen, which is a detractor from shopping within ones budget. At least, I didn't see any? (Walk around to the front, facing the street, to get in.) Dru seemed very friendly and easy-going. He greeted me when I walked in, introduced himself with a handshake, and encouraged me to wander around to whichever parts of the area pulled me to them. It was a lovely place to wander up and down the aisles and between the plantings. It's mostly outdoors, but didn't feel overwhelmingly warm because there was plenty of shade, mostly in the form of trees and bushes. I felt like I could have quite happily brought a book, found a comfy spot in the shade, and enjoyed a peaceful afternoon surrounded by desert-friendly plants. Beyond the great atmosphere and welcoming vibe, I very much enjoyed seeing the propagations Dru had going, as well as the variety of cactus and other succulents, and even a few tropical houseplants. I had gone to pick up a water-wise plant to fill in a hanging basket, and ended up with three happy, healthy-looking jelly bean sedums, as well as a store credit to give as a birthday gift for a relative who hasn't been to Drutopia before and would LOVE it. Once I have the sedums planted and out in the sun, they should fill in the basket nicely, hanging over the edges and turning red in the sunshine. At the end, Dru thanked me, shook my hand again, and asked if he could take a photo of me with my plants. (He has a lot of fun photos of customers on his Instagram, so I'm assuming it was for that.) All in all a wonderful experience, and a shop I will definitely visit next time I'm in the area. Tip: Some plants are priced, but others are not. If you're not sure, ask Dru and he'll let you know.

The selection is never ending and you can find many native plants that are difficult to find, elsewhere, and impossible to find at the large chain nurseries. I've ended up taking so many plants back to larger places (that I won't name, but we all know) because, even when buying them at whatever price, at the time, I already know that they won't last the year that they are guaranteed for. It always seems like such a waste. Built from the ground up, it's nice to go somewhere that you know isn't just a gear in the big box monster machine. Gardening was one of the things that got me through a cancer journey, and yesterday, as I put my hands in sand and soil, I watched a hummingbird light on one of my favorite flowering bushes, that Jared, the owner, helped me pick out, near the beginning. It was little when I chose it, but now is almost five feet high. I don't remember it's name, but if I were to show anyone who works at Spadefoot, they would know what plant it is, where it can thrive, what care it will require, and when it will bloom. With some thought and planning, one can literally have a rotating buffet of blossoming food for all the critters, without adding any dyes, sugars, or plastic feeders. Nature does it all. I think of this nursery, every single morning, when I see this particular bush, which feeds the bees, hummers... Offers shade and shelter to those without wings, and other wonders, and remember how all things are connected. If you want a peaceful, lovely way to spend some time, skip the bustle and take a stroll, through this unpretentious garden space, and take a bit of that home, with you. Also, the name made me curious. So, look it up. It's hecka cool.

They actually took me out to the yard and showed me different material options and even some sample fence sections in the back - helping me change my plan a bit and get the correct amount of material ordered up. The first fence project was a hit with both the neighbors and our tenants and I'm now on my 3rd fence - death to rotting wooden fences! I'll always use Santa Rita Steel for my material.

To my surprise, no one sold these GE plates in the whole state of AZ. I am in no position to spend that kind of money. My inspector simply require I have a deadplate covering my breakers. So I got busy calling around to several metal and steel business to request a plate be made. Due to COVID 19 many places didn't have the bandwidth to get this done in a 24/48hr turnaround time or they didn't/won't due this type of work. I have confidence that they can get it done! Thanks again to the SRS team! YOU ALL ROCK!!!!!
