Because the steak was medium rare, the juices--along with some of the blood--ended up soaking into the fruit, which made it very unappetizing. I sent the plate back to be warmed up, but when it returned, the eggs were fully cooked instead of over easy, and the steak was closer to medium-well. The steak itself also lacked seasoning, and there wasn't any salt available on the table to adjust it. I understand that off days can happen, and maybe this was just one of them, but I was definitely disappointed since I had been looking forward to the experience. I would suggest separating fruit from hot proteins--especially when serving steaks that are rare or medium rare, where the juices and blood can easily soak into the fruit. Hoping this was just an isolated experience, as the place itself has a lot of potential.
