There are so many ways this could've been handled differently, politely discreetly, kindly, but this was the choice, to publicly shame me for greeting my friends and "standing" near them for less than 2 minutes. I went down to the concierge, explained the situation, and asked who the manager was, only to be told that this is the restaurants policy.
