Not all Dennys are created equal and y'all know what I'm talking about. But today after a long day working next door I came in to refuel and it was such a pleasant experience. Margarita our server was friendly from the moment we walked in. The place was clean and I like the remodel a lot. The bathrooms were clean and the food was great. I think the cooks name was Richard, because he and Margarita were communicating about orders and it was refreshing to see staff interacting friendly and professionally. Even the manager came in at one point and I didn't sense any "oh jeeze the boss is here" vibes. lol. So I never thought I'd be writing a review for a Denny's but I had a great experience today. The food was very good, my granddaughter enjoyed her spaghetti, fruit and drink. My daughter's spaghetti lacked a little sauce but was very good as well. I ordered breakfast which was also very good. Service - I was helped by Joanna L who was very professional and kind. She served us with a smile and kept an eye out to ensure we had what we needed. She was great. Ambience - With the recent renovation and changes made to the restaurant, it is very inviting and nice. As a long time customer, I am disappointed in the changes of no longer accepting AARP for discounted rate on food. Other than that, highly enjoyable. read more

On our way back thru Tucson after a long trip and once again the Tucson Denny's on N Freeway rocks! Thank you, Alex, for being so sweet, fast and reliable after 7 hours of driving. Alex was single handedly rocking the dining room and was able (with all of that work) to not only take care of our orders, but even anticipated what we needed/wanted before we did! We came in to have dinner after the graduation of an our niece ,the place was not crowded. As we were a large group Fernando Made sure to keep our group all together and the cook (Richard)came out to let us know that he was going to work in all our orders and to be patient . We had a wonderful meal at the Denny's on North Freeway in Tucson AZ. Margarita was our server and she was throughly delightful. She was friendly throughout our visit. She made sure had fresh iced tea and things like extra napkins appeared before we asked for them. Richard was our cook and I had some of the best eggs I've ever had.
