I had a very disappointing experience with Assistant Manager Melodie during a recent visit. I placed two separate orders, but only one was brought out. I handed the bag to my son while calmly explaining to Melodie that there was another order. She checked the screen, called out the second order, and when I confirmed that was it, she power walked pass me over to my son and snatched the bag off his arm without saying anything he looked confused and nervous as well trying to get it off his arm while tugging it because it got stuck, she shouldn't have interacted with him at all. When I asked why she did that, she simply said she needed to check it. There was only one item in the bag, yet she went through it as if she was looking for something missing. She then handed it back to me without a word and continued to have an attitude for the rest of the interaction. Later, when I returned to the restaurant to discuss the situation calmly with a manager only to find out she is one, I overheard her talking about the incident with other customers, which was unprofessional. When she finally approached me, she did so with a smirk, saying, "Oh, you had another order," in a sarcastic tone. I explained again what happened and how she took the bag from my son instead of simply asking for it. She denied everything, saying there were cameras to prove it and that she "wouldn't have done that." Whether or not the cameras confirm it, her attitude, lack of professionalism, and dismissive behavior were unacceptable, especially from a manager. It's really unfortunate because I've always had positive experiences at this location, but Melodie's behavior completely ruined that. Denny's should take this as an opportunity to remind their leadership team that customer service and respect go a long way and ensure all customers are treated with respect and courtesy. read more

Hello, to my fellow friends who love food like me! First time at this denny's, it is connected with the gas station. It's also like a truck stop for truckers which is nice for them! When we got there we put our name on the waiting list to get a table it took awhile for us to get a table not to much but for the ones in front of us it took them almost a hour waiting for one yikes that's what, I heard maybe true not true. The service was good the young guy was doing his job wonderful serving us. I got Zezty Nachos and found items not sure if it was hard stuck ground beef but it did have something nothing to big just explaining I found something hard maybe that part of the ground beef or cheese got overcooked ‍ I know that part of the food detail doesn't look good but it was alright. I'm pretty sure it took awhile to get seated for some customers because there wasn't that many employees at the time it is a small city outside of Dallas to the east! So it might not always be to busy for the manager to clock in more waitresses or workers. read more

Although hospitality was ok I was not noticed it was gonna take about 1 hour and 30 minutes to receive order had I been made aware I would of taken my business else were. Denny's is Denny's. Nothing spectacular but not the greatest either. They do have great biscuits.

Like everyone they were short handed, only a few workers on duty. The inside is very dirty. The corner booth we sit at had Crayola drawings all over the wall. Everything was sticky, seats were dirty. Kitchen shorthanded too. Everything was over cooked even pancakes were tough. I think they were really trying their best. But we will not be back, too disappointing to waste our money. read more

For a Denny's attached to a gas station, it was on point. During this "labor shortage," it's refreshing to see not only someone willing to work, but doing it to perfection. If you have all day to wait on service and food this is your place. Came in waited a good 5 minutes before anyone noticed we were there. Then seated us with menus in hand but did not give them to us. Waited almost 10 minutes to see her again to get them. Ordered and that took over 30 minutes to get food. She said she was sorry for long wait but we are really. Yay. Do not recommend this location at all. We were sat and multiple servers looked at us, and no one greeted us for over 15 minutes. All of them avoided our table and greeted every. single. table. that was sat after us literally on both sides of us. The manager saw us looking around and even avoided us as well. HORRIBLE business. I came to eat here last night around 9 PM and I asked for boneless wings buffalo the lady was very nice there were only two girls working at the time but they were running back-and-forth. The lady came to me and took my order. I ordered the Cali deli with regular fries. I told the manager I hadn't had a great sandwich in awhile and she let me know she would make it herself ! and that was the best darn sandwich I had in ages! Went here a couples months back and had a good experience. Going forward to today and a new owner and management it was completely terrible. The guy that sat us was in jeans and a white wife beater. The server handed us a kids menu that was hand written with prices. So I went online to find the prices and he tells me that the online price is wrong. Not surprised either when it was more at this point. We go ahead and order anyway. Right before the comes out he tells us they don't have all the ingredients to complete or order. I got a Nashville hot chicken melt and I asked for no tomatoes and when they brought it out it had tomatoes and they were charging me for extra tomatoes on my receipt..that was strike 1 and then my smoothie was half ice couldn't even drink it that well that was strike 2 and I couldn't finish my food so I brought it home and an hour or so later I heated it up and when I bit into it there was 2 strands of hairs! Long wait times on Sunday, but they were a bit busy. Also the kid server was new but after I received my food, drink refills were good. Side note... could next to me, surprisingly african-american couple, kept calling the server since they messed up the order, he brought them a new order, then they call again since there was no sausage in they're veggie skillet - they called the server about 10-12 times in 20 minutes and after all that they don't want to pay...and got away with it. Race doesn't matter in this case, but that scene was amazing and I just felt bad for the server that did nothing wrong - they just wanted a free meal and love to complain. This is by far the Worst!!!! Experience ever! Our waiter Aaron and another cook were acting like they were gratifying themselves sexually over our food! When we observed their behavior and confronted the waiter he apologized and then acted like he didn't know what we were talking about but (mind you I asked him if he didn't know what I was talking about why was he laughing and why was he apologizing) then he and the other cook staff left. We went at 8PM on a Tuesday night. We had two kids with us ages 6 and 4. My husband ordered a sriracha burger and it came without the sriracha sauce and cheese. My son ordered a kids hamburger but they brought him nuggets. They did make him a burger after the fact. We were never asked if we needed refills. Then, we paid and walked outside to see a big "Kids eat free Tuesday and Saturday 4PM-10PM" sign on the window. They charged us for both kids meals. I work late through night, I wanted a hamburger. Thought I'd get one to go at Denny's. Won't do that again... ever. Ordered the burger with NO onions. Got the burger, loaded with onions. The lettuce on the burger was brown and limp. The meat tasted like it was old, or past the expiration date. I can get much better than this at Whataburger. MUCH better. I gave Denny's a chance and they showed they just don't care about quality. I just hope I don't get sick from this nasty thing. read more

Excellent gluten free, Wheat Belly choices now for us to eat! Yahoo! We just ate at Denny's in Terrell but the menu is the same nationwide. We had the Hearty Breakfast Skillet and the Ultimate Skillet without any bread or pancakes,etc! It was such a delight to find an effective breakfast that fits our diet requirements without feeling overcharged because you turn down the pancakes and toast on the Slams for example. The grilled veggies of onions, red peppers, spinach, mushrooms. grape tomatoes (on some but not others) and roasted potatoes (an occasionally allowed food on the Wheat Belly plan) plus 2 eggs any way you want them without any bread, pancakes, biscuits to be left off. There are other choices like Ultimate Omelette, Santa Fe Skillet, and lots of omelettes without any breads or wheat products. There are lower calorie options as well without bread/pancakes either. There's a steak dinner that can go light in calories if you choose the wholegrain rice (an occasional Wheat Belly allowance) and leave off the dinner roll. They also have new salads that do come with a dinner roll but that's not such a difficult thing to either take home to give to the birds or let someone else in your party eat it. A month ago we went for lunch and I ordered a grilled chicken salad but the chicken was raw.I mentioned it to our waitress and she took it to back to the kitchen. The manager had the nerve to ask the waitress well what does she want. Then a lady walks in and sits at the counter with the manager without any disregards to the customers they began a conversation with racial slurs so at that point we asked for our ticket. Huge disappointment. They've radically changed their menu. Build your own omelet is no more. The waitress explained that it was only for a 'limited time, anyway' - but my husband has been ordering this since we met in 2008! They don't even have a standard ham and cheese omelet anymore, so our outing to Denny's was probably our last. The previous visit, my husband wanted a Belgian Waffle. My family went in to this establishment today around 1pm. Everything was fine until I noticed the manager, I assume she was the manager by the way she was barking orders. Super unprofessional. The way she was treating her employees, speaking to them as they were small children. I witnessed her lecture an employee about pressing "no" on the register. She spoke to her in such a humiliating way. It's no wonder this place is understaffed. With leaders like that they will never be staffed. Aside from being an eyesore with her rude look, she's was loud and obnoxious when speaking to employees. I left there pretty disgusted with what I had just witnessed. I would have spoken up in that instance if I didn't feel that the employees would take the raft of her ugly attitude once I left. Mind you, this "manager" was sitter rolling silverware while a customer sat next to hear eating his lunch. I ate breakfast here today and the experience was a little offensive. There was a young man mopping the floor in The area of the wait staff. Apparently the manager did not like the way he was doing it. Took the mop away and as the young man was walking away he remarked loud enough for me and anyone else to hear that he was going to fire him. Well this in itself was just not good business but the manager was also packing a pistol on his hip.
